Lacy (10/5): Chabil Mar Villas were relaxing, luxurious, comfortable, and convenient! - Everything. It was quiet, comfortable, and beautiful. The food was phenomenal, and we loved that you could order it to our villa, the pool, or the beach areas. The food also arrived fairly quickly, which was wonderful. The resort was so comfortable and nice that it almost made it difficult to want to go into town. The plumbing fixtures were old and seemed to have some issues. The pools could use a good pressure wash and clean, but nothing so bad that prevented us from using them.

Geraldine (10/5): Exceptional - Chabil Mar was absolutely perfect in every way. Our suite was beautiful and spotless. The staff has helpful and friendly without being intrusive. The location convenient to town but just far enough to be peaceful! Special shout out to our shuttle driver Latchco who went above and beyond. Just an FYI, the beaches in Palencia are not white Sandy Crystal Clearwaters. They are suitable for swimming, but just so that you know that upfront. However if you love snorkeling, there are some amazing snorkel tours and one of the best reefs I’ve seen in a long time.

They arrange other tours that may be cheaper than you can find on internet. They also follow up with the tour operators even if you didn't book through them. Internet was a little slow especially when everyone is trying to connect.

Messier (10/5): Great stay with beautiful pools and service. - Beautiful property and pools. Lived jumping off the dock. Good food delivered quickly throughout the property. Only down side is that you can’t walk into the water to swim. It’s lined with rocks. Other places in Placencia have walk in swimming. It didn’t bother us at all but if you have little kids you might want some place with a walk in beach. No walk in swimming despite a beautiful beach.

The double taxation on each line item for food and beverages was inconvenient.
