Guest Reviews
- Avril (8/5): - The apartment was exceptional, clean and well equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable. The noise from the upstairs apartment was very loud. Children running around, sliding doors opened and closed, washing machine and hoover noise was annoying.
Fortunately it stopped between 8pm and 7am and during school times.
Sound proofing would be beneficial.
- Martyn (9/5): - Awesome property we loved it 🥰
- Barbra (10/5): Comfortable and cosy place - Lovely clean and comfortable, great location
- Simon (9/5): - It was a cozy apartment with two double bedrooms. The bathroom and kitchen were really good. I didn't mind so much but my family would have liked it to be more central.
- David (9/5): - Not applicable Non slip mat in shower
Larger bath towels
- laird&lady Graham (9/5): Fit for the laird and lady. - Beautifully presented property had everything you needed for a peaceful holiday or an active break, Only issue was we found forks difficult to use ,but we survived,we still ate lol.thanks again for one of the best appointed units we've ever stayed in.
- John (8/5): Very good. Host helpful and all facilities in good and working order and spotlessly clean - Good location and easy access as street parking was ok after 5.30pm Was right on main road so a little noisy with the odd passing traffic
- Mark (9/5): Superb - Flat was superb. Very comfortable and welcoming. Noise from upstairs.
No dishwasher.
- Chris (10/5): Staying for work, but had a "holiday" experience - Needed good clean, easy accesable accommodation whilst working in the Port of Montrose. Property fits the bill.
A short walk over the bridge and up the hill brings you into the centre of Montrose.
If you dont fancy the hill then there are places to eat and enjoy a drink along the North Quay.
I recommend The South Esk Inn for a genuine Scottish pub experience (right hand door) or great cocktails, made to order (left hand door)
- Kathleen (9/5): Would stay at this property again🙂 - Good communication with host. Clean, nicely furnished and well equipped ground floor apartment with private parking space. Main bedroom king bed very comfortable with quality linens. Respectfully, the bed mattress in the green bedroom would benefit from a comfort upgrade to match main bedroom.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ammar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margaret (9/5): We had a very relaxing break and enjoyed four days of beautiful sunshine and clear skies - perfect for enjoying the wild - The flat was extremely comfortable, well furnished and cosy. Everything was spotlessly clean and new. It was a quiet location and ideal for visiting the SWT Reserve and hides around the Montrose Basin. Nothing. We would, however, suggest a few kitchen items that future guests would appreciate - a teapot, cafetière, and a tray for carrying things to the table.
- Jillian (10/5): Lovely place to stay in Montrose, recommended. - Very clean, spacious, well equipped. Comfortable and nicely decorated. The remote for the TV was a bit hit and miss.
- Dale (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leanne (9/5): Would stay here again - Very clean and nicely decorated. Adjacent to industrial port area with grain silos but this didn’t upset our stay, it was off interest and makes for a quiet secure property. In walking distance of Scurdie Ness lighthouse through the fishing village of Ferryden. Also visited the bird hide at Montrose Basin Visitors Centre where we saw seals, geese and many waders and ducks. Roo’s Leap, Salty’s and Charlton Fruit Farm were good places we ate during our stay.
- June (10/5): Fantastic - Very clean and comfortable
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Omar (10/5): Great stay, would recommend - Everything Nothing
- Geoff (7/5): Very comfortable and relaxing - Self contained with plenty of facilities for self catering Ground floor with an apartment above which was occupied and you could hear people moving around. Minor detail, great to have a washing machine but could benefit with a dryer as weather unpredictable. Front door lock took a while to figure out
- Colin (9/5): Superb -
- Dale (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mike (10/5): Fantastic stay in Montrose. Hoping to be welcomed to this property again in the future. - Location was good for proximity to Montrose town centre. Around a 10 minute walk. The property was spotlessly clean and well stocked with kitchenware, cleaning products, kitchen roll, coffee, tea, sugar, etc. Large TV in the lounge, which had a super comfortable sofa. Wifi was fine for our needs - a bit of browsing, kids streaming on tablets, uploading some holiday photos.
I thought our bath at home was large, but this one was enormous. Large walk-in shower with both rain shower and hand shower. Good pressure and rapidly heated water.
Both bedrooms had comfortable double beds that were low enough to be easily accessible by our 2 year old but not so low as to be a challenge to stand from. Lots of mirrors, including full length, and a dressing table with mirror and lights in the main bedroom.
Dedicated parking space right outside the property. Whilst the location is good, there aren't any views to speak of. Industry next door and other views largely obstructed by neighbouring properties. However, this isn't something that affected our stay in any way, nor is it something that the owner could change.
We located the property ok but the front door can't be seen from the road so it may help others if the owner added a little description to indicate where the front door can be found.
- Megan (8/5): Very good - Great decor, bathroom is gorgeous, very close to the port which is where I was working and great kitchen amenities. Very noisy neighbours upstairs which did disrupt some of my sleep and my evening but not the hosts fault.
- Tomasz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (10/5): Would highly recommend such a well maintained property - Really well appointed. Lovely decor and shower amazing!! Very comfortable throughout Clean and had everything you need for super stay
- Stephen (10/5): Superb - Spotlessly clean. Well furnished and modern.
- Sandra (10/5): A great apartment to stay - A great apartment in a lovely quiet area close to centre. Beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Comfy bed and good shower. Also easy access to bus services. nothing
- Ross (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ross (10/5): Stayed for a week for work perfect we home from home 10/10 - Modern, comfortable, High quality N/a
- William (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable and clean.
- Dale (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (10/5): Excellent 10/10. - This property is very bright, airy, cosy, clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything you could want for your stay and more. Decorated to high standard and it has the most amazing bathroom I have ever seen (that’s including 5 star hotels that I have stayed in around the world).
Excellent communication and direction as to where to find the keys etc from the landlord and love the little touch of the menu board for local takeaways and the folder full of useful information.
Apartment is in a very quiet area, so no traffic noise to keep you awake at night and Montrose is a lovely little town with lots of lovely restaurants to try too (my favourite was Roos leap, a must try if you stay here).
If you are thinking of staying in Montrose, make this place your first choice to book, you will not be disappointed. The adverse weather warning cut my stay short😢. There is nothing not to like about out this place.
- John (8/5): Great base for a family - Modern, spotless, well furnished Hard to find the street, and the front door, description could be clearer .
- Jan (9/5): Delightful, cosy and comfortable, fully equipped 2 bed apartment, good wifi. - We really enjoyed the ambiance of the apartment. It was super clean and comfortable, well equipped, cosy and a 5 minute drive to town. Perfect! Nothing to dislike..
- Matthew (10/5): Clean and well presented property, excellent stay. - Emmaculate property, perfect location for my business trip (working offshore). Key collection was easy (lock box). Well stocked kitchen with utensils, crockery, etc. for self catering. Can't think of anything to critique.
- Sally (8/5): Very good -
- Bernadette (9/5): Superb - The location was nice and quiet and the house was fresh really impressed how clean it was. Good base for exploring the region
- Jayne (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely clean flat, 15 minutes walk into town Nothing
- Amanda (10/5): TOP NOTCH - Beautifully presented. Ground floor. Every possible thing you may need to use, even a golf brolly. All top of the range items throughout. Spotlessly clean and private. Nothing to dislike
- Nicholas (10/5): Perfect - Everything was amazing clean and fresh
So easy to find
Easy to access keys
Everything you could need Literally nothing
- Sandra (8/5): Very good -
- Storey (9/5): Superb - The only thing we found was that the remote control to the television wasn't working properly. It didn't ruin our beak, lovely apartment
- Derek (9/5): Superb - Apartment was very clean and well appointed, it is better than the pictures. Would be good to have instructions for the oven and stove top.
- Rachel (8/5): Lovely property in a good location for exploring Montrose, I would definitely recommend. - It was immaculately clean and tidy. A quiet location, parking was right outside, had its own private outside space and it was very well presented throughout. Good location for exploring Montrose, it had everything we needed for our stay. We had difficulty finding it due to the postcode being incorrect on the details, my phone had run out of charge after a long journey so I had made a note of the postcode for the sat nav and it took us to completely the wrong place! but there was nothing negative about the actual property.
- Madeleine (9/5): fantastic stay, lovely apartment. would visit again - clean, and decorated nicely. comfortable it was cold when we first arrived and I have a 4 year old and a newborn, so it took a while to heat up. would be better if the heating could be turned on before guests arrive. would be good to have two sets of keys too, like you would at a hotel incase each of us needed to go somewhere
- George (10/5): Excellent - Everything was new and clean.
Comfortable mattresses
Great shower
- James (10/5): fantastic - property was very high standard and comfortable everything was great . bed was super comfy and the huge bath was amazing
