• robin (10/5): Book it - you won't regret it! 😊 - It is very difficult to say anything that hasn't already been said about Paddy Green Villa. We can only agree with everyone else that it is an absolutely fabulous place to stay and simply relax.. We have stayed in many places during our trip and we can honestly say that here is at least twice as good as everywhere else. unlike many, many places here in Sri Lanka who have deceiving descriptions and photos (we could write a book!) here is totally genuine and we would not hesitate to book another stay, or recommend it to other people... Nothing!
• Sarah Jeanette (10/5): Schöne grosse Ferienwohnung mit tollem Balkon - Eine sehr schöne Ferienwohnung mit toller Ausstattung und grossem Balkon. Sehr sauber und sehr bequeme Betten. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett. Der Balkon ist sehr gross und man hat hier viel Natur ohne Verkehrslärm. Die Unterkunft hat eine kleine Küche mit guter Ausstattung. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.
• Larisa (10/5): - Отдых на вилле мне очень понравился. Место уединенное, тишина и покой. То что надо было после напряжённого предыдущего путешествия. Информация на сайте полностью соответствует действительности. Гостевая часть виллы находится на втором этаже. Отдельный вход. В моём распоряжении было две комнаты, терраса и балкон. На балконе стиральная машина. Есть раскладная сушилка. Вся мебель новая. В кухне всё необходимое, посуда красивая. Чистота идеальная. Завтраки и ужины я готовила сама, обедала на пляже. Заказываешь что нибудь в кафэ и лежак под зантиком на весь день твой. Большая удобная кровать. Звуки джунглей очаровывают. Я пила утренний кофе и наблюдала за играми пальмовых белок (очень похожи на наших бурундуков). Большое спасибо владельцам виллы за заботу. Они не обременяли лишним вниманим, но при этом выполняли любую просьбу. До пляжа не далеко, если вы не любитель пеших прогулк, воспользуйтесь тук туком. Торгуйтесь, обычно цену завышают. Я ездила и за 400 и за 300 рупий. Первый же, кто повезёт, будет предлагать телефон, потом можно вызвать. Есть приложение PickMe. На пляже Далавэлла огромные черепахи, очень интересно за ними наблюдать. Вход платный, но есть и "тайные тропы" по берегу. Всё отлично.
• Svetlana (10/5): Exceptional - It was an amazing apartment where I stayed for more than a month. Located in a very calm area, 10 min by tuktuk from the main beach of Unawatuna, beautiful view from the window, very close to a Yoga Shalat with good Yoga courses. Area is full of animals, including monkeys, which visit you from time to time. This apartment also has a washing machine, which is a good plus! Everything was incredible!
• Rachael (10/5): A beautiful apartment with lovely people 😊 - Where do I start! This place is truly amazing I initially booked my stay for 7nights however after a few days I loved it so much I decided to extend it to 11 nights. Firstly the apartment is beautiful. Definitely one of the best places I stayed in Srilanka. - great sized bedroom with a comfortable bed and amazing air con 😀 - a beautiful balcony with a sofa that overlooks gorgeous greenery where you can watch the monkeys in the trees and the squirrels running around. - the washing machine was a bonus after travelling for a while - great fully equipped kitchen if you do want to cook in Like the other reviews say, it is slightly out from the main beach area however this is the true beauty of it. It is very easy to organise a tuk tuk on pickme or if you do like to walk like me it only takes 45mins. Secondly and most importantly the hospitality was truly amazing. Ganga who owns the apartment and his beautiful family who live downstairs were always there if you needed anything. They arranged transport when needed, cups of tea/fruit plates some mornings and a few days cooked me up a beautiful traditional Srilankan breakfast all free of charge. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. Hopefully will be back to stay again in the near future 😊
• Rosie (10/5): Beautiful nature stay in new and stylish apartment - Loved everything about Paddy Green Villa and will definitely be back. The pictures do not do the accommodation justice. The apartment was spacious and very clean. The balcony was lovely and great to sit out and and watch all the wildlife. We saw so many beautiful birds and lots of fireflies at night. The kitchen was very well equipped and Ganga & family were excellent. He helped us sort out a scooter and onward transport to Colombo. We were also surprised a couple of days with a a traditional breakfast which was delicious. Would 100% recommend and we look forward to coming back! :) Nothing. A little far from anything by foot, so a scooter is practical.
• Justina (10/5): A Hidden Gem in Unawatuna – Comfort, Nature, and Great Hospitality - We stayed here for 10 days, and without a doubt, we will be back. This apartment is a true gem – beautifully designed, high quality, and thoughtfully arranged. Nestled in lush greenery, the apartment offers breathtaking views, a super comfortable bed, and an overall relaxing atmosphere. The internet was also very good most days. Finding a reliable driver was initially a challenge, but once we did, everything became much easier. If you need a pick-up or a great driver, we highly recommend +94 77 468 1327 (whatsaap) For an even better experience in Unawatuna, we also recommend SkinnyToms Deli for amazing coffee and sweets, Shanti Shanti for the swing and beach vibes, Wild & Sage for books, and of course, The Garden House for families and kids to play. The Hideout was also good. This place truly exceeded our expectations – very comfortable, impeccably clean, and managed by incredibly kind owners. It was an honest pleasure. Highly recommended! No, no this time nothing to complain about .from the first contact you know you are in a good place with good people.
• Agata (10/5): An experience not to be missed! - We loved absolutely everything about our stay at Ganga's place! It is located quite far away from the town centre but this is actually a good thing- we loved the tranquility of the surrounding area. As for the apartment itself, the photos do not quite reflect the standard or the size of it- it is actually better than shown in the pictures :) However, the absolute highlight of our stay was the incredible hospitality we received from Ganga and his family- thank you again for the lovely cake & massive breakfast you prepared to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday!
• Nina (10/5): Exceptional - This was the best Sri Lankan Accomodation we‘ve had during our stay. This place is tranquille, super clean and spacious with such a high standard. Very unique. Very close by is a beautiful Yoga shala which I can also absolutely recommend. In front of the place you can watch monkeys jump & play and listen to lots of beautiful birds. What a bliss. As an absolute cherry on top was the stunning and versatile breakfast which was offered by the host. The host was so lovely, supportive and attentive which made our stay an overall beautiful experience. We will definitely come back. Thank you so much! Nothing!
• Mylene-bilbo (10/5): Great place, great people. - I loved the balcony! Beautifully protected with trees, with light, a ventilator to keep the mosquitos away and a SOFA. This was a perfect place for me to work. The young family living on the other side of the house are super friendly and really helpful. They also invited me to celebrate the 6th birthday of their oldest super sweet girl. There is a construction place not far away. And right now, it is noisy. But this is only for now.
• Janko (10/5): Exceptional - The best accommodation on our trip to Sri Lanka and we changed a lot of accommodation since we stayed for a long time. The apartment is new and looks like something from a fairy tale because it is located in nature, where you have peace and quiet to enjoy your vacation. The kitchen is also equipped with all the necessary things if you want to prepare breakfast, lunch or even a cocktail or smoothie because it has a blender. The main terrace is beautiful as it has a lounger for relaxation where we spent a lot of time. You can reach the beach in 5-10 minutes by scooter, and you can also order a tuk tuk via the pick me app for very little money (it's about 1 euro to the nearest beach). The host is a very kind and cultured gentleman who will do his best to make you feel at home. Thanks to the host for the wonderful breakfast on the last day, which he made for us for free and he served it better than in the restaurants where we ate (my favorite were the beautiful sweet pancakes that I will remember).
• Rosmarie (10/5): Much more than expected - This place is really excellent! We planed to stay 2 nights and stayed 4 nights. A very new apartment, spotless clean. The bedroom has a large and very comfortable bed. The bathroom also very big with warm water shower always. The kitchen offers you everything you can think of. And you have a large balcony with a cosy sofa, where you look right into the jungle. This is the place we spent most of our time, watching the many different colourful birds, the peacocks, the squirrels and the monkeys. The nights are extremely quiet, there are not even dogs nearby. It is true that it is away from anything, no shops, no restaurants, but you get an absolutely calm place. And there are TukTuks around to get you anywhere. The nearest beach (Turtle beach, Frog rock) is 20 minutes to walk. We walked this in the morning, this is a beautiful walk in the shade and after swimming and shopping we took a TukTuk home. Unawatuna beach is a 45 minutes walk from here, the very opposite from this calm place here, crowded and loud!
• Perrie (10/5): Exceptional - Where do I start!  This is hands down one of the best places we stayed at throughout our whole Sri Lanka trip. I wasn't expecting anything special due to the cheap price, but I was so wrong! The photos do not do it justice.... It's clean, modern, finished to a chic standard. Beautiful exposed beams, tall ceilings, huge balcony overlooking the jungle (can sit and watch the monkeys on an evening!). French doors leading out onto the balcony, huge bed, comfy pillows, fully equipped kitchen should you need.  Air con!  It's a short tuk tuk ride to the main road of Unawatuna, the owner happily orders you one and you can then take the phone number of the tuk tuk driver for future use, easy! Nearest restaurant was only a 10 minute walk away, Jungle restaurant and also the Makahiya fitness gym is only a 15 minute walk away which we used a couple of mornings.  The owner of Paddy Green Villa is so friendly and literally will do anything to make your stay special.  He gave us a lift to the ATM and then the beach when we first arrived, provided us with coconuts, him and his wife even made us breakfast each morning, it was some of the nicest Sri Lankan food I've tasted.  And they didn't even want us to pay for it, the hospitality was through the roof.  Highly recommend Paddy Green Villa, we will for sure be back 😊 A little slice of jungle paradise 🌴🤩 Thank you 🙏🏻 Perrie & Ben 😊 That we couldn't stay longer! It was fully booked, rightly so!
• Sarah (10/5): Stunning property and brilliant hosts! - The entire family were very welcoming as hosts and made me feel at home straight away. They were very friendly and helpful and always available if I needed anything. As I was travelling alone, they checked in with me every now and then to make sure I was ok which was lovely. The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures - if not better! It’s spacious, extremely clean, has a fan and aircon, a private balcony with sofa, a huge king size bed (which is extremely comfy) and has plenty of space to put your things. The bathroom is large and has a great shower with hot water. The Wi-Fi works perfectly. There is a private dining area and kitchen as well. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with lots of flavour! I was also given coffee whenever I wanted one. The location is a 45 minute walk from the main beaches/restaurants but it’s a beautiful walk and cheap to get a tuk tuk back. The hosts also ordered me a tuk tuk one evening as it was raining. The property is tucked away so the only noise you hear will be the wildlife outside - you can even sit on the balcony and watch the monkeys right in front of you! I would 100% recommend this property and would absolutely stay here again.
• 道 (10/5): Exceptional - It was the best stay we had in Sri Lanka during three weeks of traveling across the entire island. A spotlessly clean and very spacious room and bathroom, with excellent air conditioning, a well-equipped kitchen, and a lovely balcony offering a beautiful view. The host was incredibly friendly and responsive. The place is calm and cozy—perfect for a relaxing getaway! I highly recommend this place without any hesitation.
