Guest Reviews
- Keith (10/5): - Near town centre
- Sian (10/5): If you get the opportunity to stay here, don’t hesitate to book! - Wonderful hospitality from hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Apartment was beautiful, so very quiet and really well located for walking into the city. I really wish I’d had longer than a one night stay. N/A
- Colin (10/5): Me and my family had a great stay loved every minute of it. - Great location, very clean. The owners brought round milk when we arrived and also came real quick to change light bulb in bathroom. Highly recommend this property. Nothing
- Kathleen (10/5): Short walk to town centre. Lovely apartment! - Everything you might need and a very close by shop for anything else. Short walk to centre. Easy access and helpful host.
- Neil (10/5): -

- Olivia (10/5): Clean and comfortable apartment, close to the city centre - The apartment was clean and comfortable. It’s in a great location by the river, a short walk away from the city centre. N/A everything was great 🙂
- Stephen (9/5): Inverness stay - Clean tidy and great location as well as were working at Inverness Castle. Nothing
- Evelyne (9/5): -
- Sharon (9/5): - Location, kitchen and bathroom, comfy beds. Spacious living and bedrooms. Nothing
- Vince (9/5): - The apartment was well equipped and right next to the river
- Kimberley (10/5): Cute and comfortable apartment!!! Great host 😊 - I had an exceptional experience staying at Glen Ness apartment. It was a cute, clean and comfortable space with everything we needed. Just a short lovely walk to sights, food, shopping and bus tour pickup spots.
The host is incredibly kind, friendly and helpful. Will definitely want to book when I return to Scotland! Loved everything!!
- Pieter (9/5): -
- Laura (8/5): -
- Ainslie (10/5): Absolutely wonderful, such a considerate host! - So cosy and wonderfully clean. Great location. Maybe the price was just a bit much, but still within the realms of fine.
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (8/5): Very good -
- Marie (8/5): Compact and comfortable
V - Good quality furniture and fittings, comfortable beds. Quiet situation
Easy to walk down to river, and short walk to city centre No instruction manual for microwave or oven
Heating not on in evenings
Shower room ok for us but wouldn't suit a large person
- Ronald (9/5): Really good - all that we needed - Clean cozy and great location - nice touch having milk, tea bags, cooking oil etc Toilet / shower room was rather small
- Julie (9/5): We’ll definitely come here again if returning to Inverness. - Really handy location with pretty riverside walks nearby and short walk to shops, restaurants and theatre. Clean and comfortable. Just what we needed. N/a
- Natalie (10/5): Amazing host and property - My friend had an accident and tripped and fell into the tv and broke it. The host was very very understanding and was so lovely about it and I have arranged to make payment to cover the cost of the television. The flat was beautiful. Very clean and in a lovely area. Definately recommend
- Will (9/5): Superb -
- Yin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rob (10/5): Cute and well-equipped apartment in a quiet street - The cute apartment had a very well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and was conveniently located on a quiet street just outside of the city center. The host was very friendly and accommodating.
- Marcel (9/5): Definitely stay there again, perfect for a short stay. - Comfortable, and cosy. Owner left milk, teabags, parking permit. Lovely beds, warm flat. A small thing, breakfast stools were a bit uncomfortable.
- Andrew (7/5): Good -
- Giles (10/5): Lovely, comfy, warm apartment a short walk from the city centre - Great location within easy walking reach of the city centre (probably about 7 mins walk). Lovely warm, comfy and clean apartment. Clear instructions were given on how to access the property on the day of arrival, along with a parking permit to put in my car for the duration of our stay. It was a self-catering holiday so it's also really pleasing to have a fantastic oven & hob to work on.
- Jane (10/5): Very enjoyable and will be back - Warm and comfortable with great attention to detail Absolutely nothing
- Zelia (10/5): great place great location great host - everything
- Warrenwendy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elise (9/5): Charming apartment in a terrific location, perfect for a few nights stay in Inverness. - We loved our stay in this super cute apartment. So many gorgeous touches in the place from the lampshades to the little frog hanging at the end of the bathroom light switch cord. Excellent location, easy walk into the centre of town or along the river. Not a dislike but note if you are needing 3 separate beds like we did, having the sofabed out does make the living area a little cramped. But, it's such a cute place it's worth it :-)
- Kerry-ann (10/5): Great night stay. Would definitely book again and like to stay longer. - Great wee apartment in a perfect location. Nice lounge area and great kitchen. Rooms good size. A few stairs to climb with luggage which would not be suitable for some but fine for us.
- Maximiliano (9/5): Very nice apartment, we will stay here again if we can - Stylishly finish all over the house. Design and colours, as well as quality of furniture was taken care of carefully. Door lock is a bit tough to open, toilet door gets stuck with the rug that is opposite to it. Just only that, everything else about the flat is amazing and prepared for a great comfortable stay.
- Karen (10/5): Excellent, would stay there again for sure. - Everything! Location is fantastic, apartment clean and comfortable. This place has everything you need. Not to dislike but entry door is bit difficult and Apartment is one flight up a winding stair
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Lenka (10/5): Exceptional - We liked location in the center, possibility to park the car. The apartment was cosy! We felt like st home ❤️ -
- Marianne (10/5): Can’t wait to stay again - Loved all the details that went into the furnishing and decoration. Nothing!
- Marianne (10/5): Will for sure be back! - Everything about the flat was beautiful. You can tell a lot of attention and love went into the whole place. Nothing!
- Timothy (10/5): Exceptional - The host and their family were so accommodating and helpful and it truly made our trip much better!
- Alison (9/5): Great stay. - We absolutely loved staying in this apartment and the soft furnishings and ornaments were a talking point. It was well appointed and had everything we needed. The heating was good, and the beds were comfortable. A parking permit came with the apartment, so we were able to park the car in the street. The apartment was in a great location and only a short walk to the city and some great restaurants, 'pubs' and supermarkets. We would definitely stay here if in Inverness again. Our host was very prompt with text responses. Nothing
- Roxanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marek (6/5): Not as good as expected from past ratings. - Quiet location within walking distance to city centre. The main problem was the door knob. It was so difficult to turn that my wife could not open the door. She would not be able to escape on her own if there was a fire inside the apartment.
Also, there were no instructions inside the apartment, not even a single sheet of paper. I had to contact the owner/manager to find out where the washing machine was - it was located outside the apartment in a separate store room. Also, I had to ask about how to adjust the the temperature in the apartment.
I parked my car on the short, narrow street next to the apartment, displaying a residential parking permit obtained from the apartment. Most likely parking on this street would not be available to me if I arrived a bit later and did not leave my car in the same spot for the duration of the stay. It would be a big struggle to find an alternative place to park my car.
On departure I heard swearing addressed in my direction from the ground floor window.
- Phao (9/5): Fabulous property, great location -
- Wendy (9/5): We had a great time . Lovely atmosphere in Inverness and everyone really friendly. Mustard Seed as always our favourite - Apartment had everything we needed ! It’s good to not have to go out and buy coffee, tea milk etc . Clean and comfortable beds Only tiny thing was toilet/shower room could have been a bit bigger. However realise there’s nothing you can do about that
- Jan (8/5): Cozy, well appointed apartment on a quiet street ear the center of Inverness. - While small, everything felt brand new: the kitchen was very modern. The heat worked perfectly. The beds were comfortable. The location was very quiet. The only minor negative was the bathroom. The shower as well as the rest of the bathroom is tiny. I am rather tall and I felt at times a bit like a contortionist. That said everything in the bathroom worked perfectly.
- Alexandra (10/5): A perfect feel-good temprary home in Inverness - The „Glen Ness- Apartment“ made a significant contribution to my perfect and unforgettable stay in Inverness.
Situated in a quiet yet central location (all the sights, city center, bus and train stations are within walking distance), the facilities really do offer everything you need to feel at home and to be able to self-cater comfortably - I would have no idea what could be improved. I particularly enjoyed drinking my coffee early in the morning in the peace and quiet of the garden, watching all kinds of birds.
The stairs are often mentioned in the reviews: There are exactly 15 steps, with handrails on the right and left and in my opinion, no narrower than is usual in this type of house construction. The special entrance area, the steps - all this contributes to the special charm of this accommodation.
Before you arrive, you are given an easy-to-understand description (including photos) of where and how to find the accommodation. I had the pleasure of being picked up from the airport by Carl & Tippy and didn't have to worry about it 😊.
That brings me to a point that I really want to mention. For me, Evelyn, Carl and Loora (and Tippy 😉) are the best hosts you can imagine. Always available, warm-hearted, helpful and attentive. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you again from the bottom of my heart for the gift I found on my birthday on the doorstep of my apartment.
I can highly recommend the Glen Ness apartment and would even describe it as an insider tip for a special and perfect stay in Inverness. I really didn't like leaving.
- Alan (10/5): Great place to stay - Absolutely fantastic flat, location and parking... Nothing....
- Hamish (8/5): Very good -
- Gargi (10/5): Perfect choice of stay for a family at the quiet corner near the city centre. - It was an excellent experience for us to stay in this beautiful apartment. It was a lovely two bedroom apartment which was tastefully decorated and was a perfect for my family. The host was like a friend and was forthcoming to help to have an amazing experience.
When we arrived the host was at the flat to receive us and he assisted us with our luggage and guided us well for our Inverness stay. The house was a family accommodation which made us feel at home with excellent hospitality by the host. There was nothing that I didn't like. It was the best stay I have had in my whole stay in Scotland.
- Kathryn (8/5): Very good - It was like home from home!
- Andrea (10/5): Was up visiting family. Flat was so clean and had everything you needed and more. - Location was 5 min walk from town centre. Flat was in a quiet and lovely bit of Inverness. The host has thought off everything, was very impressed by the flat.
- Sonia (10/5): That is a gorgeous place to stay. It 5 minute's walk to town centre. -
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cameron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Usman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ranald (10/5): Highly recommended destination 👌 👍 - A very comfortable, very well-appointed flat in a quiet area, just as stated.
The decor is very modern but tasteful down to small details. A very well equipped home from home.
There was real coffee provided with a French press in the excellent kitchen 👌. All the facilities provided were excellent.
I would recommend this property without any hesitation or reservation. The entrance through a passageway then uostairs would not suit everyone. I arrived in the dark, and the light sensor was slightly slow to switch on.
- Yuriy (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely lovely apartment. Nicely renovated, very warm with pleasant smell. Plenty comfortable sleeping spaces. Fully equipped cosy kitchen. Free parking space at the front of the apartment. Decent internet (approved by 2 teenagers :))
7-10 minute away from the town centre with lovely walks along the Ness river, shopping centre, castle, museum, churches and Cathedral.
- Margaret (10/5): Pretty much perfect space and location - It was a lovely comfortable space, beautifully decorated and spotless. Loved the kitchen/living area, and the bedrooms were a decent size. Overall a lovely vibe to the place. Loved the shower also! Really handy for city centre, 10 min walk. Host was extremely helpful. Just me being picky but would like to have had some sort of freezer or small icebox and being REALLY picky maybe some smaller wine glasses :)
- Maria (10/5): Amazing stay in a comfy and cosy house. Very close to the river, fully equipped and with such beautiful details in decor - Everything really!
Location was perfect, apartment very clean and comfy! Liked everything
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Claire-louise (10/5): Great stay with friends in this spacious, modern home,in central - Lots of character, quirky, modern apartment with everything you need, the provisions left were a real treat. Quality down to the linen and towels. Loved it. The church bells ringing constantly from first thing on
a Sunday morning means no long lies
- Nagpal (9/5): Superb -
- Marion (10/5): Spotless clean, bright, airy, warm and cosy with fantastic facilities in a great location. I highly recommend Glen Ness - It was a bitter cold night when I arrived in to Inverness and the apartment was so warm and cosy it was sheer bliss. There was every amenity you could possibly want. Large and airy with an open plan kitchen/living room. The bedroom was large with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in other than my own at home. I struggled up and down the semi spiral staircase with a large heavy suitcase although that probably had more to do with me than the property.
- Tina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adam (8/5): Very good - Lovely apartment
- Jacqueline (10/5): Exceptional - Great location.
Helpful owner
- Garfield (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was fabulous we highly recommended it. Walk anywhere. Well appointed and owner (Carl) I believe was super helpful.

- Colin (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Spotless apartment with excellent facilities. Nothing
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Shruthi (8/5): Very good - Well thought setup. All the necessities for our stay were already there. It may not suit people with disability, while we were okay using the status to the first floor.
- Joan (9/5): Very nice hosts! -
- Naraporn (9/5): Great location and fast responsive host - The location is great, you can easily walk to the city center.
- Glenda (10/5): Great location and comforts of home - It was perfectly located and had everything we needed! Hubby had a knee replacement, and the stairs were a challenge
- Helen (10/5): A wonderful, comfortable stay - Great location, clean, quiet and feel like home :), no breakfast served The narrow steep staircase entering the apartment
- Molly (8/5): Very good -
- Lee (8/5): Reasonable place at a reasonable price - The location was good. Just a 10 minute walk to the center city The bathroom was very small, and it was an upstairs unit with a narrow staircase
- Yvonne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Logan (10/5): Lovely - Super cute
- Anastasia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rosemary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alessia (10/5): Exceptional - Great apartment, huge sofa bed, comfy beds, very clean and welcoming.

- Stuart (9/5): Superb -
- Adam (9/5): Super appartment! - Lovely appartment. Very clean & very well equipped. Spacious & perfect for my needs.
- Jane (10/5): Really cosy apartment nice location -
- Corrie (9/5): Ideal for a weekend break. - Comfortable, clean and well equipped. Great location within 10 mins walk from city centre. Nothing
- Homa89 (10/5): Perfect home away from home! - If we could move here, we would. Adorable kitchen with everything you could want to cook at home, though we couldn't take advantage of everything during our short stay.
The apartment was clean and well decorated, warm, and welcoming. Check-in was a breeze and we managed to park our car right out front. The rooms were bigger than we were used to and had plenty of space for us to unpack our things. The bathroom is perfectly fine, though on the smaller side it was super clean and the shower was nice and hot.
The apartment was a short walk away from the center of town, so I found that it was very convenient.
There was even a TV with Netflix/streaming for those who like to relax on the couch before bed. The bed was very comfortable.
I absolutely would stay here again. Nothing bad to say, to be honest.
