- AR (2/5): Never again - The only thing good was the cleanliness of the sheets. They were white and crisp and clean. Everything else was a 1-star for me. I would've not cared much about the antiquated microwave that couldn't be operated no matter what we tried. I would've frowned but looked the other way for the cleanliness of the floors. A lipstick under one bed and a hair clip in another room told me those rooms had not been vacuumed. The master bath sink was covered in some oily residue. The shower was grimy to the point where I didn't want to use it. BUT.... a big one for me was the thermostat setting jumping back to 62F overnight, so we could wake up frozen stiff in our beds. I don’t think anyone sleeps at 62… We’re Floridians, so we’re going for 73-74 in the winter, but having to poke around in the thermostat to control the issue was a huge buzzkill. In hotels, you have absolute control over thermostats, and they don’t jump back at midnight. It made me feel like you valued the extra penny that was pinched off the power bill more than our health, especially when I woke up the next morning with back pain and chattering teeth, AFTER I thought I’d set it up. You see, we travel to have fun and feel good, not to do online searches as to how to reprogram your obsolete unit. It was a bad experience! Your house was more expensive than several hotels we looked at, and we chose it because we wanted to feel good, to have more control. It came up really short in these areas.
