- Lee (10/5): -
- Heidi (10/5): A lovely few days away in a beautiful cosy cottage in a superb location for a country getaway. - Beautiful Cottage in a little village close to everywhere we wanted to go!
Had everything we needed there and was so cosy! Owner’s excellent with responding immediately to any questions and will definitely stay again! Was all good
- Guest (10/5): Heerlijke dagen verbleven in deze smaakvolle ingerichte Cottage! - De gastvrije ontvangst en de schone cottage! Heerlijk om lekker buiten te kunnen zitten. Nvt
- Karen (10/5): Lovely Peaceful Cottage - Beautifully furnished & comfortable little cottage in a lovely peaceful location & only 2 doors away from a friendly pub serving great food.
The owners left us coffee, tea, cereal, butter, bread & milk etc, which was really thoughtful of them.

- Andy (9/5): Lovely weekend break - Beautiful cottage, thanks for a lovely weekend! Nothing
- Flash (10/5): The cutest cottage in a small village - Marshmede Cottage was superb- had everything we needed and was just a beautiful, comfortable place for us to relax and unwind after a busy few weeks on the road!
We were only a few miles out of Canterbury but you felt so removed from a busy city!
The Red Lion pub was a great place to visit with really nice food and friendly staff Absolutely nothing!
- Tatiana (10/5): Fabulous long weekend and Fabulous hosts ! - Loved the cottage itself : spacious, clean and well decorated. Loved the little welcome gifts : ice-cream, bread, butter, honey and jams. Loved the hosts' care and attention to every detail during our stay. Everything was great, and the location itself was just a blessing after the busy life, exactly what we needed! The nature, birds, picturesque sunsets and sunrises , natural reserve itself, absolutely stunning. The hospitality of the local pub and their yummiest Sunday roast , complementary bottle of wine, warm and welcoming attitude is another reason why weaved our stay. The whole experience was 10 stars from the start to the end. Definitely recommend and definitely will be back ! There's nothing to mention at all. If I need to mention something that would be only one thing : the parking space is a bit tight for a bigger car. However there's plenty of space to park off the road so not a big issue at all.
- Nicole (8/5): Cute cottage for a short 1 night stay for 2 adults and 2 children with a good location. Not ideal drive way for a big ca - Drive was very tight. We had to keep moving the car to load the boot and cars kept coming down the road.
Toilet kept flushing when not being used. Would have liked a few more pieces of wood for the fire.
- Karen (10/5): Fantastic cottage and wonderful place to stay! - We’ve had a wonderfully quiet and relaxing time away. The cottage is extremely well presented and equipped and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
Close to Canterbury and beautiful beaches, we were so lucky to find this gem!
- Julia (9/5): Really great comfortable weekend to catch up with family. - Lovely cosy cottage. Tastefully decorated with nice touches to it. Very clean and comfortable place for 2 people and furry friend. (Suggest bigger door mats at both doors to avoid muddy footprints) Not the house's problem, but parking is a wee bit tricky with small narrow lanes and most cars won't fit on the small space by the cottage, but it's fine to park outside the pub just be aware of tractors using the road.
- Shelly (9/5): Perfect overnight stop in the country - Lovely quaint little village location - pub twenty steps away so super convenient for dinner with
Lovely food! Cottage lovely and comfy - spacious - great beds! Parking a bit tricky
- Rob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): The host did everything to make the stay as good as it could be. - Very cosy property The parking, very small space
- Maxine (9/5): Beautiful calming clean and catered for our four legged girl - Everything Small parking space hard to get into but we survived
- Lorna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lauren (10/5): Peaceful, ideal location for a cosy get-away. - Everything - it was peaceful, well stocked and beautiful with a Christmas tree and near the nature reserve! Nothing!
- Patrick (10/5): Perfect! - We had a perfect stay here in the cottage with our family and dog. It was cosy, comfortable and immaculate. The cottage is very tastefully decorated with comfortable beds and sofa. Everything required was provided for, the welcome basket and the dog welcome basket a bonus touch - lovely dog walks in the surrounding area too. We relaxed and chilled by the fire almost the whole time which is exactly what we were after. Excellent communication with the hosts who went above and beyond to be accommodating for us. Lovely countryside location with quick access to Canterbury. Would 100% stay again - thank you for having us :) Not applicable!!
- Nyan (9/5): Superb - Everything was perfect Stairs a bit steep
- Nikki (9/5): Lovely english cottage - The couch and fireplace. The beautiful environment and the lovely pub on the corner. Nothing
- Charlotte (10/5): Lovely cottage - Lovely cottage, nicely decorated and very cosy. Hosts were really helpful. Great location close to walks and local sites
- Andy (9/5): Superb - Peaceful, clean, well equipped, only 15 mins from city centre ….. nothing
- Lauren (8/5): Lovely cosy, comfortable dog friendly cottage in quiet location - Lovely cosy, comfortable cottage. Quiet location but not far from the coast and Canterbury. The pub practically next door was good too. Nice to walk in the nature reserve 5 mins up the road. Comfy sofa and great big TV for when the weather wasn’t good! Loved the tea & coffee selection provided and the welcome pack - that is very kind, thank you ☺️ Nothing major.. the parking space is only suitable for a small car but we didn’t have trouble parking on the road nearby. The stairs are very steep and open backed. Might be an issue for small children or less mobile adults.
Would have liked some access to cleaning stuff as it was quite wet and the dogs made a bit of a mess in the doorways with soggy paws but I messaged the owner and she is going to add these items to the property so all sorted!
- Katherine (10/5): Just wonderful; so impressed. - The communication from the host before and during was fantastic (and not in any way obtrusive, as I have occasionally found elsewhere). The cottage itself was stunning - beautifully and tastefully decorated, extremely well equipped, a lovely welcome basket with all the edibles for a breakfast to get you going, full-sized gorgeously soft bath sheets, a brilliant shower, very comfortable beds and linens, and very clean throughout. Although small, it has been designed very cleverly so it doesn't feel closed in. Just perfect for myself, my friend and our 11yo boys. A hand/hair towel in addition to the bath sheet would be great; but that is literally the only thing I can think of! It may also be worth noting that the staircase is a little narrower and steeper than an average set, which could potentially be difficult for some guests.
- Heather (10/5): Beautiful cottage in a very traditional village with boutique hotel comforts. - Beautifully situated and very comfortable beds and sofas. everything is very good quality. I would love so stay again but for longer than 3 days. If I have to pick one thing it would be the stairs are very steep. I understand it is a very old cottage and expect this but could be a struggle for some.
- Leonard (8/5): Very good -
- Eleanor (10/5): Truly peaceful & beautiful inside and out. - The cottage is so peaceful and beautiful inside and out.
Very well presented, looked after and lovely heart warming touches for not only us but our dogs too!
