- Daniele (3/5): Misleading listing about local tax - be aware of it and avoid paying it twice - location is good. nice big apartment, clean and with an amazing rooftop. the listing is misleading and you pay the local tax twice. before booking it’s explicitly stated the local tax is included in the booking. when you book, the confirmation says local tax will have to be paid on site. tried to address it with booking but our requests were completely ignored. see attached evidence.

- Kamila (3/5): - The property looks completely different in reality than in the photos and is in clear need of a full renovation. As soon as we entered the room, there was a strong, unpleasant smell. After reporting it, the owner explained that it was vinegar used to clean the floors and that “some guests don’t notice it.” However, this was not the smell of vinegar, but rather of a dirty mop, which made the stay very uncomfortable. A major issue was the lack of hot water, both in the morning and in the evening. After reporting this, I was told that the gas level was sufficient, so hot water should be available. Later, I was informed that it had been checked and that I just needed to wait a few seconds. In reality, hot water did appear in the kitchen after a short time, but in the shower it took around 15–17 minutes of running water before it became warm. This is not only extremely inconvenient but also highly wasteful and not eco-friendly. This issue clearly requires proper fixing, as access to hot water is a basic standard. The bathroom is in very poor condition: old, with visible mold in the shower and on the ceiling, leaking (the floor floods after every shower), with a broken shower head and a loose toilet seat. The kitchen also requires renovation. The rooftop terrace is neglected and messy, with scattered trash and two heavily damaged grills. There are no hooks for towels in either the bathroom or the room. Housekeeping during the stay was practically nonexistent. Old, discolored towels were left on the floor. There is also an old, rusty ceiling fan in the room. Despite repeatedly reporting these issues, the staff showed a dismissive and indifferent attitude. There was no genuine effort to investigate or resolve the problems — responses were brief, unhelpful, and came across as dismissive rather than supportive. Every day someone from the staff entered our room, but it was properly cleaned only once (the floor was washed and the bed was made).

Avoir de l'eau chaude était aussi aléatoire (si une autre personne dans un logement en prenait, il fallait couper l'eau et relancer pour avoir de l'eau chaude)

La mampara de la ducha está medio rota, sería bueno cambiarla.

- niko (9/5): - Loukaz liegt in den kleinen, ruhigen und touristisch wenig bedeutenden Ort La Gaulette. La Gaulette liegt am Meer, aber hat keinen Strand, da muss man 5km nach Le Morne fahren. Die Unterkunft ist einfach, hat ein super gutes Kingsize Bed, sauberes und komfortables Badezimmer und eine Terrasse die in einen Garten führt. Auch die Küche haben wir oft benutzt, sie funktioniert bestens. Ein Topf mehr wäre toll. Wir waren 10 Tage hier und fanden es richtig gut.

- Latiatia746 (10/5): Studio A au 1er étage : top - L'emplacement près du Morne, le roof top pour admirer le coucher de soleil, la terrasse dans l'appartement pour déjeuner au milieu des palmiers et des oiseaux, le calme pour dormir, le chant du coq, la cuisine équipée à minima (four micro onde, grille pain, bouilloire, 2 verres à bière, à vin, 2 verres à eau et à ti punch) Avoir de l'eau chaude mais pour la douche, pas de problème, il faut simplement mettre à fond vers le chaud et être patient. L'arrivée et le départ se fait en totale autonomie, mais j'aurai eu plaisir à échanger...

- Laurence (6/5): Secteur à éviter - Grand appartement, bien agencé et spacieux. Un rooftop très agréable. Emplacement pas agréable, pas de plage et bord de mer sale, longer de " baraquements ". Les équipements ne sont pas en très bon état : table extérieure cassée, robinetterie cuisine et poignée salle de bain à manipuler avec précaution, les serrures de la porte fenêtre ne ferment pas, prise inaccessible pour la haute aspirante et le grille pain. La climatisation ne rafraîchit pas du tout ! Le ventilateur menace de tomber, mieux vaut ne pas l'utiliser.

Super friendly, responsive manager who accommodates all requests where possible (eg early checkin, late checkout). Our son could stay in our room which was spacious with a king and a single bed. To dry wet kite gear you can put it on the roof top terrace N/A

There is a nespresso machine and a washing machine. Very nice terrace with outdoor furniture. The owner is very nice, friendly, answered all our questions and asks immediately. Very easy self check in. Clean and spaciois, very quiet. There is a parking space infront of the building. Location is nice, if you are with a car actually close to everywhere. Easy to reach from the main street. Thank you very much! If we go back to Mauritius for sure we will stay in Les Pecheurs!

Although shower doors were a bit annoying as kept coming off the track even with moving it gently, this was really a minor issue.

- Ingrid (10/5): Lovely, modern apartment near the beach - The place is big - even has a dressing, open air terrace where you can have breakfast, it is clean and very well maintained. The rooftop was amazing on New Year’s night, to obseve the fireworks and shoot some of our own, thanks to some kind neighbours who shared theirs with us. Nothing to dislike, Saul is very responsive and helpful.
