- Louie (4/5): Book a hotel, you’ll save money and sanity - Prime location as stated on the booking, attentive owner, responds to messages very fast. As soon as you enter the property you’re faced with a narrow corridor that leads to the basement stairs which are also narrow and very steep, good luck with your suitcases. When you get down into the basement you’re met with nice wooden flooring and a lovely welcoming entrance area, also a dehumidifier (we will come to that later). When you’re down in the basement there is a really damp and foisty smell that no amount of air freshener can seem to get rid of. The kitchen is in good shape and looks appealing, the fridge works and it has a good amount of utensils, only thing about the kitchen I would say is that some of the items were dirty before we had even used them which wasn’t nice to come into when you’re about to cook your evening meal. The beds in the bedroom were comfy and both bedrooms have adequate clothes storage space, one of our bedrooms we had the radiator on all night as we couldn’t figure out how to turn it off and in a basement with no windows it’s almost a death sentence lol. We were told by the owner in the morning that we had to use our fingers on a tiny dial like nob on the side of the radiator as the propper dial for it had broken off. There was a fan in each of the bedrooms which was wonderful for me, I like the white noise in the background as I go to sleep, and it allows you to attempt to keep the room at a cool temperature as there is no ventilation (basement floor apartment). Now talking about ventilation, there is a massive damp problem in this property, the dehumidifier which was mentioned earlier got full twice in our two night stay and it’s a massive compartment that it collects the water in. I’ve seen another review about the damp problem too, shame I saw it after I booked the place and realised there was no refund on cancellation.

- Carl (6/5): Average stay - Location close to Vauxhall station The apartment is beneath ground with only the stairway leading down/up to ground floor level.
Apartment smelt musty and air freshener used to mask musty smell.
Owners did not provide VAT receipt despite 3 requests

Good service from the Owner allowed us to keep bags in property till a later time on day of check out. Mould in the bathroom shower on the ceiling.
Heating & Ventilation was non existent
Had to empty the dehumidifier (and it’s a 12L tank that tells you enough) all the time because of the dampness.
Tv wasn’t the best no digital tv because no signal or bad WiFi I don’t know.
WiFi was slow and not the best range for connectivity
Cups in the kitchen were dirty before first use.
Price tag defines what the customer gets I guess with the added “London” fees like everywhere else in London.

- Laura (1/5): Needed a deep clean and the smell of damp and sewage investigating. - The flat was very dirty and some of the fixtures and fittings were broken. There was a unbearable smell of sewage and damp. The smell was so bad we had to move out and find alternative accommodation.
- Bao (9/5): Lovely place and definitely stay again - Its so closed to the bus and the train, literally minutes and you can travel anywhere. Its a small cozy place in the basement of a terrace house so its a pleasant surprised after the tiny staircase. Modern, well maintained and clean place with full kitchen and heater provided The tiny European staircase would trouble many Americans :) travel light we are not.
