- Britz (9/5): Back to basics accommodation by connecting to the settler in you. - The basic, rugged nature of the hut appealed to us. It’s basically an empty shell with beds for 4 people. We felt like early settlers. There was plenty of wildlife with a kangaroo visiting the hut early in the mornings and at dusk. The hut even comes with its own local mouse so make sure your food is kept in sealed containers. The hut walking distance from scenic Shell Beach. At night you can see millions of stars. Absolutely beautiful! The remoteness of the hut makes it something quite special. We stayed for 5 days and made some amazing memories. Shell Beach is a popular beach for visitors and campers who do not reside at Shell Beach campground. Unfortunately, the hut is build directly next to the dirt road that is the entrance to Shell Beach meaning plenty of dust from passing vehicles and lack of privacy during peak visiting times. The property also has limited natural protection from the wind.
- Cathy (7/5): Good - The location and building were interesting. It was very warm in the early evening, lots of light and very quaint.
The simplicity of the dwelling was excellent The description of the site did not include essential information which was apparently on the National park website.. this should be corrected.
- Tenille (7/5): Good - Remoteness of location A few loud mice
- Jo (10/5): minimalism, back to basics- unplug- we loved it - we absolutely loved this little getaway- felt like we we explorers
the facilities of course is very basic- beds were comfortable and we even started the fire at night .
the only thing was that we locked the keys in the hut and literally had to break in- the phone numbers for emergency did not work and that sucked!! we had to damage the hut as it was dusk and I did not want to sleep outside -
a Mumma and her 2 boys. it was an old hut- not much to expect- we loved everything- even when there where high winds and rain we were safe inside a brick hut
- Graham (10/5): Basics, beat putting up a tent but with all the advantages of having nobody next door annoying you. - Peace and quiet. Blessed by wonderful weather - do you guys turn that on every time?
- Catherine (1/5): Please provide a refund see my email sent last weekend - We couldn’t stay due to
Mice and I’ve asked for a refund but you haven’t responded to my email Mice running around and we had to sleep it the car and left the next day
- Greg (10/5): Exceptional - Great accommodation perfect location
- Czarkowska (4/5): Disappointing - The room was very dirty, and I'm not talking about dust ( this normal ).There were pieces of food left on the table and mattress were not wipe out for long time. This is probably minimum to expect.
