• Christine (10/5): - The apartment had been remodled and was lovely. Spacious, clean, and well appointed. The beds were comfortable, along with perfect pillows (not easy to come by), with soft linens. The apartment was well equipped with everything you would need for a short stay. Both bathrooms were clean and spacious.The location was perfect. There are a few flights of stairs, but it was worth it when you entered the living space to find two beautiful large windows that opened up to the square with Puccini relaxing in his chair. I can't say enough about Andre, our host. He went above and beyond, helping us with our luggage and making sure we had everything we needed. He was readly available for whatever we may have needed. I have spent lots of time in Lucca and highly recommend it to anyone traveling in Italy. Tranquil, relaxing, and slow paced, much needed after the larger cities. Andres apartment is the perfect place for your visit. Enjoy! There were no dislikes.

• Viktoria (10/5): Lovely apartment in Lucca's oldtown - The apartment is perfect! Super clean, well equipped, spacious and in the centre of Lucca. The host is super friendly and has wonderful tipps how to spend a good time in the city. Highly recommended! All Perfect!
• Zoe (9/5): A beautiful property in a perfect location with a very helpful host. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. - The location was perfect. I loved sitting at the big windows and looking out on the piazza. Great for people watching. It was big and comfortable and had everything I needed. It could be noisy from the restaurants in the piazza in the evenings. They close by 11 but people sit there chatting. In the mornings the rubbish is collected early (6am) which is noisy.

Andre was very kind and welcoming, and the communication was great before and throughout our stay. Would recommend! :)

• DAVID (9/5): Amazing, we’d recommend it to anyone. - The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, and comfortable. It is in an amazing location and very close to all the restaurants, bars and attractions that Lucca offers. The only negative was the street cleaner who cleans the road at 6am each morning! But this is only a small annoyance. Overall it is very good value, and Andre is a charming host. We will definitely stay again. It’s on the second floor so be prepared for stairs, and it will be so much better when the building renovations have finished and the common areas are cleaned!

La posizione è semplicemente perfetta: nel cuore della città, ma allo stesso tempo tranquilla, ideale per vivere l’atmosfera autentica del centro storico. L’appartamento è curato, accogliente e molto pulito, con spazi ben organizzati e un’attenzione ai dettagli che si percepisce fin da subito. Si respira un senso di armonia e comfort che rende il soggiorno ancora più speciale. Un ringraziamento particolare all’host Andre, sempre disponibile, gentile e attento: una presenza discreta ma preziosa. Un’esperienza che consiglio senza esitazioni, e che spero di ripetere presto.

• Paula Ortega (10/5): HERMOSA ESTANCIA - El apartamento esta muy bien equipado, era grande y comodo, luminoso y bien decorado, con una excelente ubicacion, el contacto fue fluido, extremadamente cordial, dispuesto en todo momento para cualquier inquietud. Fuimos en enero y el departamente estaba muy bien calefaccionado, no tuvimos en ningun momento frio. La vista del departamente a la plaza Puccini es hermosa. Lo recomiendo y volveria sin lugar a dudas. Me gusto todo.

Eine kleine Kaffee Maschine (Tabs) wäre ideal gewesen.

He let us keep our bags there whilst we explored Lucca and even brought some things we left behind to the train station for us! Really above and beyond 💕 I would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Lucca. Absolutely unreal place xx Nothing it was perfect 💕

• Mark (9/5): A special place with a very helpful owner - Fantastic location and a beautiful apartment in the historic centre of Lucca. Very helpful owner who made himself available at very short notice to meet us at the property, after we had been badly let down by the agents of the property we had booked originally. We switched to staying at Puccini's Home and are so glad we did. We will definitely come back here again. Only that there's no air conditioning so it can get hot in summer. There's fans so it isn't too bad, but aircon would make it perfect.
• Angela (9/5): An excellent base for enjoying Lucca - The location next door to Puccini's house was superb. We loved being able to open the window to look over the square, one evening hearing a quartet play. The nearby bars and cafes are good. The apartment is historical, sensitively modernised, very light, and nicely decorated. The living room is huge, beds and bathrooms comfortable, Andre is lovely, very helpful. He welcomed our few suggestions. We expected and accepted that the privilege of staying in an old building is having to climb stairs. This apartment is two floors up.
• Marco (10/5): I felt like o was staying in Lucca of 100 years ago! - Puccini’s home was exactly above Puccini’s statue in the square. It was on the third floor with a view with 4 meter ceilings and a feeling of spaciousness. It was quiet yet centrally located. Andrea was a perfect host who was there to recommend all types of areas to see in Lucca. You are in a very old building which most do not have an elevator but the staircase is wide and definitely worth the walk up.
• Louise (10/5): Exceptional - An apartment on two floors, each with a bathroom and great view over the square made this a superb place to stay. Everything you could wish for - a lovely home from home. Very clean, tidy and lovely welcoming touches. Andre the host is so genuinely helpful and approachable. The square itself has restaurants and a gelato cafe, fashions, gift stores, kitchenware, the Puccini Museum itself but you also have so much more within a stone’s throw including beautiful churches. My favourite is the tree-lined 4k city wall - superb to run, cycle or walk. Definitely want to return 💯 recommend Puccini Apartments

• Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is perfect for a group of friends as there are two spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms and a sofa bed. The location is perfect as you are just of Piazza San Michele where there are many places to eat and lots of shops nearby. It was very handy for exploring Lucca. Andre was such a lively and attentive host who allowed us to leave our luggage before check-in as we had an early flight. He was also kind enough to arrange a taxi to take us back to the airport early morning on our way home. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, spacious and had all the appliances there if you needed them. Would absolutely stay again and would recommend to friends and family! Grazie mille Andre :) It didn't bother us as we are young and fit, but the stairs may be an issue for elderly travellers as the apartment is located two floors up.
• Kevin (8/5): Spacious, well-located, modern apartment - This is a very spacious apartment, to the point where it almost feels under-furnished. But it has all of the things you need. The location was wonderful, right in the centre of Lucca, looking down on a piazza. The beds were comfy, nice showers, fairly well equipped kitchen. This was the first of a few apartments on this trip afflicted by the 'three mugs' curse i.e. there were only 3 coffee mugs in an apartment that takes 4 people. Obviously not a big deal but it's the detail like this that separates the 7's and 8's from the 9's and 10's.

He helped with our luggage and taking us to our car People of a certain age and abilities should be aware of the 52 very steep stairs to get to the apartment. The bedding is in need of updating, the pots and pans aren't that inviting to use,need replacing, apartment could have been cleaned more thoroughly,

The apartment was beautiful and in an exceptional location (within walking distance from the train station). The grocery market was literally across the piazza and there were lots of dining options nearby. The area was quiet and the apartment finishings were very nice. We would absolutely stay there again. The fridge may have been off before we stayed (or not used in a while), as it was really smelly when we opened it. However, we were traveling in the off-season and it wasn't a big deal. Everything else during our stay was wonderful.

Hot water kettle along with decent mugs and wine glasses lacking. Also wine bottle opener broken. A minor fix but will go a long way to make the stay more enjoyable.

Functional kitchen area. Good shower, hot water at good pressure. Comfortable bed. Friendly owner. For U.K. travellers in particular, be aware that dropping bags off early incurs a charge. Difficult stairs for older people - 2 flights. The downside of location is the noise from the piazza below. Not a criticism just an observation.
