- Henk Vallentgoed (10/5): Superb stay!!! - What an awesome place and such a well planned, quaint, container living experience.
I love the location and as a aeroplane nut, I really loved sitting beneath the 19 runway short final of the airport in Cape Town.
Dewald and Adri are wonderful hosts. They are so friendly and welcoming and they really have a spectacular living space for travelers. The little lounge is comfy and more than enough to sit and relax at the end of a working day. The kitchen is stunning. Top class finishes and cutlery, more than enough coffee and tea to last for days. Fresh milk in the fridge, some rusks, complimentary bottle of wine and lots more.
Two aircons help get the temperatures down in minutes on hotter days and was a welcome fixture the day the wind decided not to blow. The bed is soooo comfortable. I slept really well while I was there. The bathroom is nice and big and everything in the container is just top notch.
The deck outside with table and chairs and the piece of artificial grass just adds a homely touch to the whole setup.
There is a Weber braai that can be used if you feel like having a braai and hopefully next time I can make use of this facility.
The resident cat was a lovely guest and hearing their kids and dogs really adds a homely feel to your stay. I would have loved my wife to have been there to enjoy this with me.
- Westerdyk (10/5): 10/10 - Such a cozy space. Pristinely clean when we checked in. Very modern, well decorated and furnished with a beautiful outside area perfect for a morning coffee on the stoep. Had all the amenities needed for a self catering unit - toiletries, cleaning aids, kitchenware and appliances.
The host was very welcoming and accommodating. We were spoiled for options of places to visit in the surrounding areas - Tyger Waterfront being our favourite with lots of restaurants to choose from, around a scenic water view, just a 10 minute drive from the property.
There was a safe place to park the car in front of the pedestrian entrance and the container felt nice and private with a wooden perimeter.
You can tell the host really put thought into each little touch. Very enjoyable stay, would happily stay again.
- Steyn (10/5): A Hidden Gem... Comfortable, Convenient, and Incredibly Welcoming! - I had a fantastic stay at Leopard Leaf Inn, a perfect spot for a working individual or solo traveler. The location is ideal, close to the N1, just 16km from Cape Town and 25km to Stellenbosch, making it centrally positioned for both business and leisure.
The fully equipped container unit had everything I needed, from olive oil and kitchen essentials to lightning fast 300Mbps fibre, perfect for working remotely. The bed and mattress were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's rest every night.
I was warmly welcomed with a bottle of wine on arrival, and felt completely at ease with safe, off street parking for my rental car.
The space was quiet, secure, and thoughtfully set up, and the hosts (along with their friendly furry companions) were some of the most welcoming I’ve ever met.
Highly recommended, I’ll definitely be back!

- Rhein (8/5): A Breath of Fresh Air in Stylish Container Living - From the moment I stepped into the Stylish Container Suburbs Living, it was clear that this was more than just a place to stay – it was an experience. The cleverly converted shipping containers melded modern comfort with an artistic vibe, offering a spacious and well-equipped sanctuary. The luxury of having not just one, but two air conditioning units, ensured a cool retreat from the day's heat.
The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the braai. There's something special about grilling under the open sky, and the small patio with the Weber braai was perfect for enjoying this South African tradition. It felt like a nod to both the simplicity and the richness of life here.
Each morning at 7:45, like clockwork, I was greeted by the heartwarming presence of the resident dogs who waited eagerly at the gate. Their delightful company was a joyful way to wake up, infusing the start of each day with a dose of unconditional love. The location near the main gate also provided a unique opportunity to greet fellow guests, adding a sense of community to the stay.
Despite the early wake-ups, which some might find a tad early, the charm of the dogs and the overall tranquility of the place made it a minor detail. The amenities provided, such as uncapped Wi-Fi and access to streaming services, were the cherries on top of an already splendid cake.
In essence, my stay was nothing short of exceptional – a true testament to innovative living spaces and heartfelt hospitality. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already looking forward to my next visit.

- Omar (10/5): Exceeding expectations. - Good amount of space. Convenient location. Clean and good finishes with extra homely touches like heater blankets and a nice coffee selection. Driveway parking. The area is quite safe though, just to make sure no valuables are visible in the car and you should be fine.
- Antonior (10/5): Smart Container Lodging - My first time staying in a container unit, with a beautiful experience. The layout and design of the unit was well thought out and pleasing to me as a designer. The invitation approaching the unit onto the deck, brought much smiles with a cute table setting. I Loved the kitchen layout and the detail that went into it. The bathroom was very nice with the subway White tiles in just the right setting. I love the Black inserts to the bathroom which rounded this off nicely. The lounge, a nice cozy feeling and well thought out. No need for the AC to run because the unit was extremely well ventilated. In conclusion, well done to the owners for a stunning experience.
- Colette (9/5): Thank you for the time spent in your very stylish facility. - Is it a room? Is it a containter? NO, it is a tiny home. From the moment you walk through the gate, you realise that peace, comfort and tranquility have welcomed you.
Situated on top of a hill, in a quiet, leafy suburb, Stylish Container is the perfect get-away. Home from home. Office away from the office. (There is excellent WiFi and cell phone reception, with smart energy solutions to South Africa's rolling blackouts. Whilst it is a beautiful, safe neighbourhood to have leisurely walks at any time of the day, the hill is quite steep. YOu need to be fairly fit.
