Guest Reviews
- Alessandro (10/5): - Lovely studio flat, well designed, the kitchen is well equipped and you will find everything you need. Comfy bed. Excellent communication. Highly recommended. Nothing
- Terry (10/5): Happy little home - The host Mario was very helpful. Lovely little place and ideal for what we wanted. Would definitely return again. Also just a couple of mins walk to the train station. Nothing
- Adrian (10/5): Very good location for two people - Great little, really little, place close to the shops and train station as well as the beach.
Well stocked for two guests.
Instructions and contact with the owner were clear and friendly. Liked everything
- Jo (10/5): Clean, comfortable, great location - A really great space for a weekend stay, or longer if necessary. Property was clean and tidy, contained everything we needed and is situated round the corner from food shops and a pub. Lovely cafe nearby for breakfast. Excellent communication from hosts and a handy location for exploring the area.
- Emma (9/5): Everything needed - Had everything needed and close tp beach Bed v hard which was great for one of us but not the other!
- Nina (10/5): -
- Robinson (10/5): Quiet and comfortable place. Had a great stay - Sam and Mario’s place was exactly what I needed for my week working away from home. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet. N/a
- Julia (9/5): Lovely, cosy accommodation in quiet seaside town - Lovely accommodation with walking distance to beach, park and local shops.
Accommodation situated in private house in quiet and safe area. Very clean, cosy and comfortable, equipped with kitchen area, and on suite shower amenities.
Owners of property very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
- Barry (8/5): -
- David (9/5): Cozy close to local amenities . Great value - Cozy little place. Only a two minute walk to railway station and trains into Brighton. Waitrose and CO-OP two minute walk. A welcome complementary pint of milk and fruit. Netflix etc for a rainy day. Nothing
- Kathy (8/5): It was exactly what I needed. - I had a unexpected personal issue when I arrived. The hosts were kind helping me manage my arrival. Being close to the train station and friends meant it was a very good location for me. Everything was fine and reflected the information provided.
- Katherine (6/5): Ok but - Very clean
Very helpful directions and answering my questions patiently
Very well located for train to Brighton It was very small
With the bed down there was a six inch gap between the bed and the table hard to navigate going to the toilet in the night
Hard to get in and out of the shower without getting water on the floor which I then worried about because the owners seem very very particular about how you keep the place
Expensive for what it was
In the end I didn't feel like a paying guest, paying 70 pounds a night.... More like staying with friends where you are very careful of all their stuff all the time....
Refrigerator which is sharing the room with you it's very noisy all through the night
Compact sofa uncomfortable god knows how you'd manage if there were two of you
I ended up using the chair as a little table so that I could watch the television while I had dinner
I would not go back
- Patti (10/5): - Hosts very helpful
- Barry (10/5): -
- Karen (10/5): - Tiny Home was cosy, clean, very accessible, everything worked perfectly. Owner was very friendly and provided clear instructions.
- Holmes (8/5): Tiny home - It was well fitted, and exceptionally clean, Bed was, uncomfortable for 2 adults, no WiFi, or local t.v. chanel. It was not a beach cabin. It was a garage conversion on a busy road, and a good walk to the beach.
- Oana (9/5): Very nice experience, the hosts put a lot of effort into making the room clean and welcoming. -
- Simon (8/5): Compact but has everything you could need. - Although a very small apartment, it has everything you need for a short stay. It's a fold down bed which I found it comfortable. Not unlike my camper bed! A Short walk to the harbour, the square and a couple of Pubs. A large, off road parking space Only got breakfast on one of the three mornings. The place you're staying is not the one in the pictures. It's difficult to watch TV from the sofa as the TV is flat to the wall. (It could do with an articulate bracket) .
- Simon Hathrell (8/5): A particularly convenient location for my purposes. - I obtained my own breakfast from the nearby shops, which are very convenient. It was rather hot inside when I arrived because the sun had been shining on the windows and the blinds were up.
- Colette (9/5): Very clean, conveniently located and affordable spot with lovely hosts. - Location was great, just a 10 minute drive from where our event was held at the Metropole near the centre of Brighton and they had parking right out front for a car. Hosts were truly lovely and made sure we were able to find the place and get in and even had a bowl out of pastries and fruit for breakfast. The Kitchen ameneties were good although we barely used it as we ended up being out more than we intended. The place was very clean and stylish, and the main space didn't feel cramped at all. Neat little spot for a cheaper stay in/near Brighton. It really is a tiny home, so it can be a bit of a struggle for bigger people, however it's a decent space if you just need the basics. For us, the bed was rather stiff but doable, I'm someone who prefers a much plushier/softer bed so it was a little bit difficult for me to find it super comfy, but again, it's a nice space at an affordable price to stay the night or two.
- Kerstin (10/5): -
- Simon (9/5): Comfortable and very convenient for my particular circumstances. - The breakfast was basic but that's all I wanted. The location was ideal for my purposes.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (9/5): Small but perfectly arranged, comfortable and self-contained accommodation - The location was perfect for my purposes. The host recommended a lovely Italian restaurant in the village for my first night's meal. There were plenty of options in the village for breakfast and my hosts had kindly provided some within the room as well so I had plenty of choice. There was also a kitchen in the room to prepare your own food.
Regular buses and trains to Brighton or along the coast would make exploring easy if I had more time.
The accommodation was very thoughtfully presented and perfectly self-contained and comfortable. All perfect for my visit
- Steve (7/5): Clean and comfortable. - Immaculately clean and well equipped. The drop down bed works fine and was, for me, very comfortable.
- Yvonne (10/5): Enjoyable stay in a compact cabin. - The location was perfect tor me as I was visiting a friend who lived locally. The cabin had all the facilities I needed and the host was very friendly, explaining how the hob and microwave & heating worked.,
- Amy (10/5): Excellent, suited me perfectly. Would highly recommend - Stylish, clean, comfortable and warm! Nothing
- Angela (10/5): Excellent stay with top facilities. 10/10 - Immaculately clean, very stylish, comfy and warm. Everything was top quality and the hosts were very helpful. I loved my stay in this trendy beach cabin. Nothing
- Elizabeth (10/5): Lovely, cannot fault - Perfect, spotlessly clean. Hosts had catered for everything right down to milk & orange juice.
Location great near station, shops and eating establishments. The bed was a little hard for me but it didn’t spoil our stay
- Lynette (5/5): Passable - Although clean, the double room was very small only one towel no tea bags suger or milk.
Only one pillow each and he bed was very small and uncomfortable
Parking was good.
cereals left by the host as a breakfast with no milk added.
It was pityful.
Shouldn't be advertised with a breakfast.
- Jones (10/5): Perfect - Lovely beautiful modern self contained flat, parking on the doorstep buses and train less than five mins walk away. Mega.
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional - Mario and Sam are excellent hosts. We had a bit of a medical emergency during our stay and they were extremely helpful and gracious, allowing us a little extra time to check out so we could deal with the issue. The space has been beautifully done and it is cosy and comfortable. The off-road parking was a very welcome option after seeing the costs of parking in Brighton.
- Neil (10/5): Lovely place. Excellent host. Value for money. - Host was excellent. Couldn’t do enough. Location is excellent.
- Robert, (9/5): Superb -
- Malcolm (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (9/5): A ship in a bottle - It had absolutely every appliance you could wish for. Immaculately clean and well-ordered. The host Mario was most charming keen to assist. It is very small but I was solo so it was fine. The place was extraordinarily clean and well kept and I can understand wanting to keep it so but I thought scraping the shower was a bit of an imposition, not because of the act itself, I do that in my shower at home, but because it was so small that I had to contort to do it.
- Angie (7/5): Friendly host! A pull out bed-studio accom (no cabin) but nice clean in modern house garage/conversion. Ideal short - Nice ‘n clean’ easy access to parking. Friendly helpful host. Good coffee machine. 2 mins walk village cafe/shops etc. Kitchenette ok washer seems an option (no where to dry)? Tbh., tiny modern garage ‘conversion’ on a noisy village road: puzzled not a “beach cabin” but —neat tidy conversion! ok for two nights. Sad no natural glass view or daylight at the only frosted window: ok for one person a bit cramped for two I’ll guess. I’m 5.8” yet there’s zero room head space (at shower/sink) tiniest face mirror! It’s a Studio. Unit lacked a body mirror say’ (on back of a door) or for makeup [one needs daylight]. Mattress (is pull out bed) small double sadly only 5” memory foam is tough on bones for an adult! It’s more tatami style Japanese bed.. ok sleeping place! A good tv and basic 2 seat sofa.
- Horto1976 (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect for a couple of nights near Brighton. Clean amd tidy with everything you need.
Mario was a fantastic host, friendly and very helpful. Nothing
- Stuart (10/5): Comfy and pleasant - Lovely property everything you needed good wifi and fantastic hosts. Mario was a great helpful person Nothing
- Marcus (10/5): Great location, great host, felt like home from home. - Fabulous location, very clean, reasonable price, great host. Felt very homely and cosy.. Nothing at all
- Colin (9/5): Lovely clean, stylish apartment with everything you need for an overnight stay. - Friendly, helpful host. Great base for exploring the coastal path. We wre cycling and host offered us secure cycle storage in his garden.
- Alan (8/5): Very good - Nicely set up for one or two people. Firm bed, how I prefer them. Washing machine and kitchenette could be useful for some.
This property is a well designed garage conversion but the image in the gallery of the cottage is not this property. Had a fight to release the key from the safe box. I'm not the first to mention this. Needs a fix.
Shouldn't have had to produce a photo ID not sure what that's about, and regretting doing so.
Shower quite small and I'm average build.
Don't understand asking guests to clean the shower after use. Couldn't clean it as I would have struggled due to size of cubicle.
Proper reviews are important feedback opportunities, so posting this honestly creates a balance.
- Blackwell (9/5): Superb -
- Roslyn (10/5): THE BEST BEACH CABIN EVER 10/10 - Loved 😍 the little beach cabin was small but so amazing to stay in and great value for money free parking beautiful little place in a great area close to beach shops and southwick square on your doorstep as.well as.southwick train station amd the little cabin is small but has everything you need and Mario was very welcoming amd so understanding of our situation he went above and beyond for us SO THANK YOU absolutely 💯 will be returning soon WE.LOVED OUR STAY AT THE BEACH CABIN ⛱️ CANT WAIT TO BOOK AGAIN The fact I didn't book more nights to stay there it was perfect
- Elaine (10/5): Compact and bijoux - Compact property but had everything you could possibly need. The fold down bed was very comfortable and easy to use giving good space in the room.
Bathroom was compact but again well appointed. Loved the touch of the washing capsule for the machine if you needed it. Breakfast items X nice touch Nothing
- Christine (8/5): It did the job. Personally, I didn’t like the frosted windows as it felt claustrophobic not being ab - It had everything that you needed in a very small space.
It was a cheaper alternative to staying in Brighton. We had problems getting in as the key was jammed in the key code box. Fortunately, someone from the pub over the road got us in, in the end. I contacted the owner who wasn’t in the area nor the cleaner. I was starting to worry about where we were going t sleep. Only one bath towel and mug for two guests that they were expecting.
- David (9/5): Cody and comfortable - A really good example of making the most of a limited space No outdoor area, and that's just the nature of the space. Something we're unused to
- Christopher (9/5): Superb -
- James (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location. Huge attention to detail by owners. Felt like home away from home.
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional - Space was clean and tidy. Was great to have space that was well utilised. Great value for money and an extra bonus being able to bring our dog. A fan for the hot days would be great and a couple more pillows for the bed.
- Giles (10/5): Very happy with the booking and would go again. -
- Kongjie (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location, quiet , very clean tidy and well thought out. Shops, barbers and pubs very ose by all 2 to 5 min walk. Nothing was great
- Grace (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simon (10/5): Small but perfectly formed - Really well laid out for such a small space - the hosts have made excellent use of every available inch. Comfy bed and sofa, well equipped kitchen, very cosy but completely usable shower room. Great pre- and post-arrival care. 10/10 One constraint for such a tiny place is the inability to provide passive ventilation. Even in mid-May this meant sleeping with a window ajar, resulting in inevitable disturbance from traffic and trains.
- Minh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elle (10/5): Would highly recommend and use again. - The accommodation was very clean and tidy and It had everything you needed and more. There was fresh milk in the fridge along with tea and coffee. There was a nice continental breakfast provided. The host was very accommodating making every effort to ensure we had all that we needed during our stay. Having a safe place to park our car was also very nice. The bed is a very practical small double bed, the mattress is firm which may not suit all.
- Georgia (8/5): A tiny overnight stay - A great little room, with everything we needed to have a great stay. Kitchen well equipped, a variety of teas and coffees, milk in the fridge, washing machine handy. It was all okay, found the oven instructions in the cupboard, a good idea to leave them out.
- Tania (10/5): Lovely snug place to stay - Perfect location for a trip to Brighton, good transport links Nothing
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): A lovely studio in the heart of Southwick - A lovely little studio with everything you need! Clean and comfortable right near Southwick shops. I loved everything.
- Jonathan (7/5): Too small and too needy! Forget the breakfast! - A very well appointed small space. Pull down bed was comfortable. Just too small. £60 a night it would be acceptable. They asked to “scrape” the shower after use but it’s so small you can’t bend down at all. Surely for nearly £100 per night, they could do that? Breakfast was a sachet of Oats so simple, and some fruit but only on the first morning as it wasn’t replenished. I’ve never been asked for photo ID before for a room! This is essentially a single garage conversion and an airbnb which is on a plaque near the kitchen part of the garage.
- Ann (9/5): Superb - A great base to explore the local area. The property itself was really well-equipped and comfortable.
- Lucy (9/5): Small and cosy space that was very well thought out. Great hosts, super clean, would certainly stay for a short trip. - Great hosts, super clean, very well thought out and equipped. The shower was quite cramped
- Stuart (10/5): Amazing air b+b great location to Brighton. - Hosts Mario and Samantha were so freindly and helpful, the accomodation was 5 mins walk from the coastal road to Brighton, and railway station and bus stop 5 minutes walk great Central location. Nothing
- Klaudia (10/5): Sparkling cleanliness and unbeatable price. - It is hidden gem for those seeking quality without breaking the bank. Good location, great communcation with a host.
- Colin (10/5): Exceptional - The place was perfect for me. The hosts were lovely and very helpful
- Maxine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dominic (9/5): Superb -
- Sean (9/5): Tiny, clean room in good location opposite a pub. - Clean, fresh decor, all facilities available. Very small accommodation as described, the bathroom is extremely small. The shower had instructions to clean it with a squeegee written on the wall, which is unnecessary.
- William (10/5): Cleverly designed, considerately furnished, comfortable and spotlessly clean accommodation - Cleverly designed, considerately furnished, comfortable and spotlessly clean accommodation - perfect as a base for exploring the south coast and visits into Brighton/Hove. Despite it's relatively compact size, it had everything we needed (and more) for a cosy stay on a stormy night in late October. Located 2 minutes from Southwick station (though you could not hear any train noise), we were in central Brighton within 25 minutes of leaving the property. Great communication throughout from the friendly, informative hosts. Would very much recommend, especially considering the value for money this lovely little place represents. Nothing at all - everything was great for us!
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pupinder (9/5): Nice little place near Brighton - Clean, well situated, friendly host. Shower was too small for me to use comfortably as I'm quite a big guy but still a very nice place.
