Les lumières extérieures ne fonctionnent pas. Certains transats sont cassés. Le personnel manque de sourire.

Des conseils très aléatoires.
• karine (10/5): Soleil couchant de rêve sur la mer des Caraïbes - Très belle adresse au Sud de la Dominique, à une quinzaine de minutes du centre de Roseau. Si vous vous faites déposer par un transport en commun, l'accès depuis la nationale est assez compliqué pour qui n'aime pas marcher mais avec un sac à dos, la route en pente est tout à fait acceptable et la propriété est à seulement 10 minutes à pieds. La piscine est calme et propre, la vue incroyable à 180° sur la Caraïbe. A pieds, il est possible d'aller dans un centre de plongée et 2 restaurants (un jamaïcain et un restaurant de poisson assez cossu). Un établissement bar-restaurant est également adossé à la résidence mais nous n'avons pu le tester car il n'ouvre que le week-end. Vous pourrez louer un véhicule abordable directement dans la résidence, et on vous propose un transfert du véhicule depuis le port de Roseau et l'aéroport au besoin. Les équipements des appartements sont au top, la cuisine très bien équipée et vous pourrez sans problème y confectionner vos repas. rien de spécial, si ce n'est quelques bricoles usées par le soleil à remplacer sur les terrasses (transats fêlés et coussins d'extérieur déchirés)

Spotlessly clean, fully stocked, exceptionally lush place to call home for a week. Wanted to stay forever. Wished for investment opportunities because would be here all the time if we could!

• MARIE-NOELLE (7/5): Magnifique vue à 180 ° ! - Couchers de soleil magnifiques. Piscine accessible. Logement spacieux et très propre. Petit bar/resto (attention moins de 10 places !) juste à côté du logement, ouvert du jeudi au dimanche. Très belles fleurs autour de la résidence. Pas d'électricité, pas de climatisation et donc pas de WIFI le 1er jour ! L'accueil est fermé à partir de 16h et aucun numéro de téléphone n'est laissé en cas d'urgence, les hôtes ne résident pas à la résidence. Aucune information n'est donnée sur les restaurants ou épiceries à proximité du logement. Une gazinière à gaz mais pas d'allumettes, il a fallu en acheter.

• Christine (8/5): Magnifique vue - La vue, la piscine. Nous avons été logé dans un premier appartement super avec un grand lit confortable dans une grande chambre. À notre 2e réservation, dans un autre appartement moins propre et un petit matelas protégé par une protection plastique très bruyant et inconfortable. Le lave-linge pratique. L’accès est un peu difficile à trouver. Le matelas plastifié.

• Roman (8/5): Great place with a little room for improvement - Perfect place to stay on Dominica. We stayed at room #6, which is on the same level as the pool. Well equipped kitchen, king-size bed, washing machine and an awesome infinity pool with stunning views on Roseau. Dahlia was a great host, although we have never seen her in two weeks. Responded quickly via Whatsapp and helped us when we needed anything. You definitely need a car since the place is on a hill and no food or drinks are available in foot walking distance. - The pool pump is located right next to the pool (and not in the basement as usually) and is VERY loud. It never turns off and you hear it all the time when swimming or sunbathing. - The sunbeds: 3/6 are broken or damaged. With 6 appartments accomodating 12-15 ppl at max, it's pretty hard to have one for yourself. Also there were no cushions and it was uncomfortable to lie for a longer period of time. - The kitchen is very small with almost no space to cut some vegetables or put a plate. - There was only one small window that can be opened that had a mosquito net. Prepare to sleep with bugs or breath a/c air all the time. - The doors had large gaps at the bottom and didn’t seal properly against the floor. As a result, leaves, branches, iguanas, and insects all made their way into the house, and in the evenings (drawn by the light), mosquitoes did too. A door should be airtight. - Safety: We did not feel unsafe but the house can be entered by everyone since there is no lock at the main entrance.

• Pascal (10/5): Ehepaar in Urlaub - Du Aussicht auf das Meer und die Küste ist wunderbar. Jeden Abend kann man den Sonnenuntergang beobachten. Vielen Herzlichen Dank auch nochmal an Kadeem und seinen Partner!!! Wir hatten einen ebenfalls einen PKW gemietet und unser Ausflug hat mit einer Reifenpanne geendet. Kadeem und sein Partner haben uns sofort geholfen, obwohl es Sonntag Abend war. Sie haben die Panne uns gegenüber entspannt wahrgenommen. Am nächsten Morgen habe wir gemeinsam einen neuen Reifen besorgt und konnten das Auto direkt wieder nutzen. Vielen vielen Dank nochmal für die Gastfreundschaft von meiner Frau Anita und mir (Pascal).

• Limin (10/5): Wish we could stay here longer - This guest house really exceeded our expectations! It's definitely the highlight of our trip in Dominica. Watching Caribbean sunset here is a magical experience, we enjoyed the spectacular view while having breakfast and dinner on the balcony, as well as in the pool. The unit is very spacious and clean. Well equipped kitchen, you have everything you need. Not many guess houses in the Caribbean offer a king bed, but it's so luxury here. Having Washer/dryer is also very convenient. Check in is easy, no problem communicating with the owner. We couldn't stay longer because other dates were all booked. Will definitely stay again if we come back to Dominica!

• Maggie (8/5): Beautiful setting . - The setting is beautiful , & the pool is lovely but there are unsightly broken tiles around the edge which should really be repaired to avoid any.one getting injured . We went to Wendell’s restaurant next to the apartments and really enjoyed the food - he went out of his way to get Baracuda from the market for us and cooked it beautifully on the BBQ. The apartment had no wine glasses which we were not expecting so had to use tumblers instead. Also the pool loungers have no cushions so could be made better by adding this for guests comfort . The lounge area only has bright centre lights so we adapted by using an occasional bedroom light to soften the brightness. We had an issue with security as a patio door could not lock but this was dealt with promptly as Rob came to fix it Our unit did not have a washing machine which we did not expect as the general information lists washing machine available ….so read your individual unit listing carefully - many reviews comment on washing machine but don’t assume anything .

• Leanne (8/5): Beautiful views - The view and the infinity pool were lovely. The washing machine was a plus. The kitchen was new and had filtered water and ice from the fridge. We stayed on the top floor. We never had hot water in the showers. It never worked. It was warm enough outside so we tolerated it. The air conditioning in the bedroom off the bathroom never the cooled the room enough for us but our son’s room and the living area got very cool.

• nizar (5/5): - Le cadre et l’emplacement du guest house est appreciable. Malheureusement, nous avions loué un véhicule auprès de cet établissement. Alors que celui-ci était stationné sur un emplacement sécurisé à Roseau (centre-ville), un autre véhicule a endommagé le rétroviseur. La facture demandée par le loueur, qui est également le gérant de l’hôtel, s’est élevée à plus de 800 euros. Je regrette particulièrement le manque d’écoute de sa part : il n’a, selon moi, fait preuve d’aucune compréhension et a exigé le paiement immédiat de cette somme. Certes, ce sont les aléas du voyage, mais cette situation nous a laissé un goût amer.

• Hanna (9/5): Amazing, would definitely stay again! - The property was STUNNING. It is very well kept. Has a beautiful view, and amazing sunsets. The pool is a huge bonus, likely to enjoy it alone as most people use it quickly and then get on with what they’re doing. We didn’t avoid it when people were in it, it just never lined up that anyone was there. The staff were very friendly, and helped us with many questions at the beginning. They also helped point out places on the map which was a must see so we didn’t waste our time we were there. They did eventually not answer me for 3 days before leaving through what’s up, but it was minor things.

• Wayne (10/5): Excellent value for money combining luxury with a homely feel. - Upon arrival I met Dahlia who was friendly warm and welcoming. The apartment was spotless, a true home away from home with all the modern essentials you need. It was tranquil and my wife and I took full advantage of the infinity pool and its amazing sea view every morning and sunset. If I were to nit pick, one of the patio blocks around the edge of the pool was broken and not a good look. Easily available though and not enough of a concern to have altered our positive experience.

Le logement et le personnels étaient au top et toujours présent en cas de problème. Pour y accéder il faut une voiture et ce qui est génial c’est qu ils font aussi location de véhicule et le tout pour des prix très corrects. Canapé pas très confortables et logements très peu insonorisé, on entend les voisins et on voit les voisins quand on est sur nos balcons.

• Kethlyn (10/5): Convient à tout type de voyage et très ressourçant. - Le logement est spacieuse, à l’abri des regards, les équipements proposés impeccables. La vue est tout simplement époustouflante lors du coucher de soleil. Le personnel est très réactif lors ce que l’on en a besoin. La connexion wifi est très mauvaise, lors de mon week-end on a pas réussi à capter du tout. On a eu quelques tasses/verres ébréchées.

• Bryan (10/5): El Dorado REALLY made our stay PERFECT in Dominica! - We stayed in the Superior Apartment (#1) for two weeks. In our opinion it offered the best view & privacy. Just as everyone else has said the property, pool & view are outstanding. VERY clean & the kitchen was very well appointed with everything (& then some) that you would need to prepare meals. We had a car & the parking was very easy at street level. You take stairs down to a pretty courtyard with room access. You DO need some form of transportation, as El Dorado is located a good bit uphill. We shopped at the "Fresh Market", made breakfast everyday & visited ALL the GREAT waterfalls, beaches & sights (Most often we had them to ourselves!) & then were SO happy to come home to this beautiful Oasis & jump in the Infinity pool! We dined at several close by restaurants....M&G's Jerk Hut (authentic & casual) & Ocean's Edge (Beautiful spot right at the water's edge, good food & service) and Lacou (Downtown, need reservations & delicious). El Dorado made our stay in Dominica just PERFECT!!! Thank you! Having to leave!
• Kathryn (10/5): Exceptional stay - Great view, very helpful host, pool, washing machine. Restaurant next door is excellent. Agree with other reviews that a car is a must. We were not going to hire one originally until we saw the hill we would have to walk whilst in the taxi from the airport. Not really a negative, as without the hill the view wouldn't be as great!
• Kavita (8/5): Beautiful views and kind host. - Beautiful pool and view from our room. Location is up a hill so you will need a car if you want to leave the property. Bit of miscommunication with the check-in and ended up having to wait a couple of hours to access our room.

Not enough sun loungers for the amount of guests and cushions on them would have been nice. Door handle kept falling off the back door. Balcony didn’t have a privacy barrier to next door so you could hear and see everything.

• Kenneth (8/5): Very good - The room, swimming pool and view were outstanding. The local bus services were used to get to many interesting places on the island. The location was somewhat remote and rather far from grocery shopping and nice eating places. We are both 'walkers' but found the steep road to the guest house a challenge ... neither of us wanted the challenge of renting a car and and taking to the roads.
• Katharine (9/5): Excellent value, creature comforts, just lacking in the warm water/shower - The location isn't easy to get to unless you have a car or a taxi but it makes it quiet and there is a great view! We still walked up and down the hill for dinner. The a/c was much appreciated and the washing machine was a big plus too. My only issue was cool/lukewarm water for my shower.

• Cynthia (9/5): Great stay, highly recommend. - Because we didn't have internet access yet, we had a bit of trouble finding the El Dorado. But we phoned the owner and he met us in town and showed us the way- what service! The apartment was very large and comfortable and well-equipped. Our room was right next to the pool with a spectacular view. The El Dorado is close to town with easy access to lots of restaurants and amenities. The building is a little difficult to find but this is pretty typical of the town because streets are not well-marked. Our host had advised us ahead of time that google maps might send us in the wrong direction so this wasn't really a problem.
• Lindsay (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, comfortable, and the kids loved the pool! Dahlia was super helpful when we checked in, and we loved the spacious deck overlooking the water. Perfect for morning coffee before getting out. We loved it all. But beware that it's located at the top of a big hill, so it's a good climb up on the way home from supper or a day out!
• Ted (9/5): Very good value and great location. Some of their operations could be improved. - Good location to explore Roseau valley, Roseau, Champagne Beach and Soufriere/Scotts Head. Nice view from the patio. Some maintenance issues with the room. No pool towel provided. Pool was not really usable since they were busy running a power washer of the deck for hours during the short period of time when it wasn’t raining.
• Veronica (10/5): Comfortable, clean stay near Roseau with beautiful views of the ocean! - Good location near Roseau and main points of attraction like hiking and champagne reef. Beautiful pool and porch with view over the ocean. Nice amenities like full kitchen, washer, air conditioning. Helpful staff! You’ll need a car to stay here because it’s up quite a hill and down the road from Roseau so you’ll not want to walk that.

• Kamila (10/5): Will definitely come again - Fantastic views, comfy mattress, large balcony, clean everything, well equipped kitchen, parking space... We loved this place! And definitely will stay here the next time we come to Dominica. The bedroom should have better blinds. Especially because the light from neighbor's balcony shines into the bedroom. Bring your sleep eye mask if you're sensitive to light in bedroom.
• Barbara (9/5): Great location and comfortable beds - The location is fantastic, close to Roseau and other places to visit with some restaurants close by. Try M&G jerk restaurant or Ocean edge! The view from the pool and terrace are breathtaking. The bed was comfortable and we had plenty of room. The staff was helpful and easy to communicate with. The hotel definitely needs some repairs like our toilet didn’t flush properly and some tiles are loose or broken. The hurricane shutters are broke or missing. The first day we were there it rained quite a bit and the water doesn’t flow away so the stairs and pool deck became very slippery.

Booking.com double booked this room on the first day. The property owner took initiative and provided us a room at another location.
• Aisha (10/5): Stunning - I love the fact that the pictures are 100% accurate. This place is absolutely stunning. I came to visit my dad & celebrate my bday. I will definitely be booking my stays here in future. First night there were quite a few ants coming from 1 corner in the bedroom but once I laid down some salt they were gone.
• Jessica (10/5): Even more beautiful than the photos - Apartment was spacious, immaculately clean, comfy bed, fantastic kitchen facilities (tea, coffee, water provided etc) Dahlia was great with communication and help! The view is phenomenal, absolutely worth it. Recommend getting a car, but it's a ten minute walk up/down the hill to get the bus, which is super easy to navigate.
• Alfred (6/5): Pleasant - Staff was very friendly and tried to solve problems as much as they could (got a different room at 10pm). Pool very nice. Kitchen was fully equipped; some apartments (e.g. #6) have a washing machine (#5 didn’t) The whole house had a “strange” smell and in my apartment (#5) it was stinky. Furniture not beautiful, my bathroom was very small (shower too big and therefore no space for anything else)
• Amanda (10/5): 10/10 guest house - This property features a modern design, brand new finishes, and a spacious layout with plenty of room to move around comfortably. The entire space feels fresh and clean, and the well-thought-out layout enhances both style and functionality. It’s a contemporary home equipped with excellent amenities, including a fantastic pool that adds to the overall appeal. A car is recommended if you plan to travel frequently, but you can easily walk down the hill to catch the bus.
• David (10/5): Exceptional - The sunrise and sunset from the balcony is priceless. The hosts are super friendly. And they look after you whenever you need them, from car hire to local restaurant recommendations.
