Guest Reviews
- Mark (7/5): Value for money - Location was good, we were visiting the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Comfy sofa and fully equipped kitchen. We did not receive the code for the lock box in advance, we had to message the host once we were there, which meant standing in the rain for 5 mins. The radiator in the lounge was turned off as it leaks and the boiler was off so it was very cold when we did get in, took a long time to warm the place. Very thin duvet on the bed, could have done with a much thicker one, also a couple of throws for the sofa as there was only a small electric heater.

- Renata (1/5): DISGUSTING - Location AVOID!!
Property wasn’t cleaned after the previous guests.
This property needs a deep cleaning!
Cleaners do not even know idea of a basic hygiene requirements.
Hosts complete SCAMMERS!. Started to ignore straight after we had an issues.
basement apartment.
Not possible to sleep on sofa bed, extremely uncomfortable, you can feel every single sprung in your body.
Dirty bedding.
Broken wardrobe
Radiator not working in living room, leaking.
Not a single cup to drink tea.
This is a first such a bad experience in my travel, and I travel a lot!
All we wanted was a clean and comfortable bed but never had it.
- Fernandez (10/5): Perfectisimo .... - Todo perfecto y con fácil acceso a todo !!! Recomendadisimo para todo el que quiera visitar londres y estar tranquilo a la hora de descansar .
- Carolina (8/5): -
- Adrian (9/5): Fabulous convenient stay. - Great location
- Karamovi (1/5): -
- Gwynn (9/5): - Phillip was good he showed me round .
- Abraham (2/5): Disappointing, and below expectations for the price point - Location Property description are misleading, this flat is not immaculate, it is rustic / basic at best and there are too many pictures about the area and very few actual pictures of the accommodation.
Note: There are not two beds, there is a double and a pullout couch, the wardrobe in the bedroom is broken, the floors into the apartment are uneven and a trip hazard
The place looks rundown / poorly maintained and not worth the fee at best it is two star venue and I would not recommend to other travellers
- Ashish Ravjibhai (1/5): Unmanaged storage flat - It’s too close to Tower Bridge and prime location
And the Philip who at least responded when we call and report issues . 1. Kitchen sink is clogged and has drainage issues
2. kitchen was not cleaned
3. bedroom wardrobe is broken one and not usable
4. no extra blanket
5. there is quite strong smell of damp in bathroom
6. living room near fireplace gas pipe is broken one
7. No kitchen paper towel
8. Kitchen dishwasher liquid/detergent is almost finished
I would suggest don’t book until apartment is cleanup and fix all the above reported issue .
House is not cleaned at all
- Kronberga (7/5): - Ļoti laba atrašanās vieta. Uzturēšsnās vietā būtu vēlami vairāki uzlabojumi, nomainīt dušas aizskaru (aizskars bija netīrs un paliekot mitram, oda), salabot virtuves izlietni (ūdens tecēja prom ļoti lēni), salabot guļamistabas skapja durvis.
- Endri (1/5): Bad - Horrible, sheets are not clean, thin mattress old dirty and uncomfortable. Floor slippery. Everything was dirty.
- Heidi (1/5): Filthy, complaints were ignored by owner and booking.com, we endured as prepaid for 3 nights - Good location with public transport, pubs and small supermarket nearby. Easy walk to Tower Bridge and Tower of London. Stroll along Queens walk. Host left us standing in the street for 30 minutes beyond our expected arrival time waiting for a code. Various messages and phone call were ignored. Why the code was not provided on arrival day I don't know. It's not clear but this is a below street level apartment. You have sunlight but its down about 10 steps. We stayed during a heat wave, but still had to wear jumpers inside it was so cold. No instructions provided to work boiler, shower, heating etc. This place is filthy - get black feet walking from the shower to the bedroom to get dressed. Tried to use a power point beside the bed but it was covered in thick dust. There is no table - you have a shelf attached to an alcove with 2 x stools. We had to eat breakfast in shifts. We had 3 towels and 2 cups/glasses for 4 people. Complained and were told there were more towels on site - wrong. Was told they would deliver additional crockery & towels - they didn't. There is no room for anything - not even a towel rail - we found the clothes airer and put our towels on that. Wardrobe door fell onto us as it was broken. Had to carefully squeeze past the broken door and bedpost to climb into bed. Mattress was like a hammock the way it fell in the middle. Our 10 & 11 yo complained how uncomfortable the sofa bed was. We struggled to find a power point that worked to recharge phones. Dishwasher is broken, couldn't move broken blinds in kitchen. Random power cords everywhere, gas heater pipe broken and trip hazard, water heater leaking with a bucket to fix it, exposed wiring in unlockable hallway cupboards, floorboards slide as you walk on them. These are serious safety hazards - DO NOT stay with young children. 5 days after our stay we got a message cleaners couldn't get in as we left keys on table. Full bin and wet towels locked up for nearly a week - it must have smelt almost as bad as the mice infested bins by the building entry door.
- Frank (8/5): For me it was going to be about location...access to transport and office meetings. Just perfect - Location was exceptional. Met neighbour's also who were most friendly and helpful
- Tom (3/5): Great location but terrible arrival experience and cold basement flat - Location is fantastic, right by tower bridge. The kitchen was fairly well equipped and the fridge freezer was clean. Hard to get past the terrible arrival experience. I was sent a message with instructions, which told me a separate message would be sent with the code for the key lock box. This didn’t come, I tried to call and message and no one answered. I got a message via Booking.com 20 minutes later with the code but it was wrong. I’d had a long walk, it was cold, dark, starting to rain and I couldn’t get in. Honestly at that time I was starting to wonder if this was a scam. Neither number for “emergency contact” were picking up. Finally I got sent the correct code.
The flat is clean, tidy and fairly well lit but is pretty worn. No mirror at the sink so good luck having a shave or women applying make-up. Lots of black mold in the very dated bathroom, and the heating is on low and timed so it felt cold the whole time. They’ve obviously had this comment before so provide one fan heater, but I had to change this between rooms. If you want to be warm watching TV, your bedroom is going cold.
The kitchen was fine, everything was clean and well equipped, and towels and linen were clean etc. They pre-warned me the wardrobe was broken.
All in all this feels like the owners are spending as little as possible and relying on the location to get customers for this drab little apartment. If you are fit enough, London is easy to walk around or get the tube so yes, great location but I frankly wish I’d stayed in a nicer place further away and just got the tube or a nice brisk walk to my visit destination (Union Street).
- Ambrine (10/5): Comfortable little flat❤️ - To be honest when I saw the block from outside I was a bit reluctant but the stay was lovely everything was close by and the flat is absolutely comfortable and warm, I had my 3 daughters with me and we had enough space using the sofa bed to, everything that was needed was provided I would definitely recommend and will definitely book again when I visit London.
- Jd1955 (8/5): Very good -
- Murali (8/5): Excellent location for a short stay - Excellent location. Near the Tower bridge, London bridge, Tower of London, HMS Belfast.
Also close to public transport services... Tube, city bus, hop-on hop-off bus, Uber boats...
Restaurants nearby....
Sainsbury's local just 50m away...
Play area for kids behind the property..
Sofa bed available The bathroom is not so clean..
Add a few more utensils in the kitchen
- Naicker (6/5): Pleasant -
- Nadia (1/5): Totally awful - Location Bad directions the owner tried to cancel and charge more after I booked then was aggressive and I was scared the whole time I was staying there after that.
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debbi (9/5): Great location - The owners were great- really helpful. The location was fab too, only a few minutes to the river. The shower stayed hot for only a few minutes when using it. Which was fine as we only stayed a couple of nights but if I had been there longer I would have been really sad!
- Denis (7/5): Good - Apartments offer unbeatable access to London's iconic sights. You'll get a clean, functional space with a kitchen for basic cooking, all within walking distance of the action.
Very easy check in. Be prepared for slightly average furnishings.
The bath hot water is not so comfortable to use.
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Silke (8/5): WONDERFULSTAY!HELPFUL HOST - LAGE SUPER! BUSSTOP NEARBY! SUPERMARKET CLOSE
- Stuart (8/5): Very good -
- Lora (8/5): Great location and would be happy to stay again, just get PIN code in advance! - Fantastic location a couple minutes from Tower Bridge, as well as one minute from a Sainsburys, a playground behind, and bus stops outside. Had thought it would be noisy from traffic and I'm a light sleeper, but was pleasantly surprised (although I was in the lounge rather than the bedroom). The owners also let me check in early without an extra fee (organised in advance). It's a basement flat so only views of feet and fairly dark, but that's to be expected. No issue with the standard of cleaning except for a couple of items left in fridge from previous guests, and had new kettle, toaster, and microwave. Would be happy to stay again. For some reason they would only give the key safe pin code when we were right outside, so even though I had messaged ten mins beforehand from London bridge station, we then had to wait on the doorstep for nearly 15 minutes before they responded to messages to give me the code, not ideal with kids!
It didn't affect me, but the dishwasher and washing machine weren't working, seems longstanding from the other reviews. The shower function wasn't intuitive so struggled to get hot water for a few minutes, and no bath plug as back up option. As said above, no issue with cleanliness, but would not describe as 'immaculate' simply down to the presentation (mop and plunger left out in bathroom, no finishing touches or feeling of cosiness), and just general wear and tear including to the shared entryway.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect little apartment in a fantastic location, hosts were so helpful nothing was to much trouble will definitely be telling all our friends can highly recommend.
- Alli (8/5): Ideal location for Bridge Theatre - Location was perfect for Bridge Theatre Fridge was a bit loud
- Drew (1/5): I didn’t stay , within 5 minutes I decided to leave the property, I had to pay over $800 to book into an hotel , I was e - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING .. UNCLEAN / DATED / NOT ‘IMMACULATE’ as described on Booking.com ..
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Very comfortable well furnished property right by Tower Bridge, friendly host, would stay again. - Excellent location right by Tower Bridge, very nice comfortable well furnished property had everything I needed, Phil the friendly host was great & let me stay longer than usual to make up for a website mix up during the booking procedure that I very much appreciated thank you very much. Very good communication. Would stay again.
- Julie (1/5): Fawlty Towers on speed - would not recommend this property - The location - access to the property was problematic (key code not provided etc)
- property wasn’t clean
- it is far from ‘immaculate’ as described in heading
- there are no city views
- the pull out couch had a dirty sheet on it
- I didn’t trust that the rest of the bedding was clean
- there were empty shampoo bottles in bathroom and a used towel hanging in back of lounge door
- the washing machine didn’t work and had mould
- the microwave needs a good clean
- the accommodation smells of cigarettes
- The fridge is extremely noisy
- payment was an issue. I had the money ready to come out of my visa prior to the stay (as per requested by booking.com confirmation when I booked) but it wasn’t activated at their end. Didn’t appreciate an email at 12.50am followed by a visit at 7.30am to ensure I paid right there and then via PayPal
- the photos I’ve seen online of the outside of the property is actually the building across the road
- the building is covered in scaffolding
- I’ve never been so pleased to check out of accommodation!
- Maria (2/5): This property is not newly renovated nor immaculately presented and it should not be advertised as such. Reading through - Location was convenient The property was not clean. The kitchen in particular was very dirty and greasy. The sheets were stained and had not been changed from previous guests. The toilet was blocked upon arrival which meant we were unable to use it.
- Helene (7/5): Wonderful positioned apartment- great if you’re not too worried about cleanliness! - Central to Tower Bridge and surrounds! Not particularly clean, would be nicer if cleaning items were in cupboards- wash machine and dishwasher not in use.
- Giacomo (7/5): Good -
- Marko (7/5): Good -
- Greeley (3/5): Didn't quite cut it for us - Location was very good.the male owner very helpful.good Internet. Nightmare of checking in.hadnt been cleaned from previous people.the owner came down from his house to clean it up whilst we was there until about 11pm at night.no parking until owner helped out with that also.to be expected in London though.it isn't immaculate so shouldn't be advertised as so.noise from the underground trains.
- Richmond (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marco (10/5): EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT - BEST LOCATION IN LONDON --
- Colleen (6/5): The management of the property was badly disorganised and so we had a disappointing start to our stay but thankfully we - The property was good value for money as it suited our needs for two nights for three people and the location was very good. The property was not ready for us upon arrival at 6:30pm and we had to wait before we could enter which meant we had to cancel our original dinner plans. It was very cold and no hot water so we soon discovered that the boiler had not been put on for us in preparation for our stay.
- Michelle (9/5): Superb -
- Rithielli (7/5): Good - The location is awesome, a few minutes walking from tower bridge.
- Suman (6/5): good - Location cleanness
- Anonymous (1/5): Bad - Our check in time was 3pm , however We reached there at 4pm but room was not ready . We waited outside at-least 5 hours which was ridiculous.
They said key will be in the key safe but there was no any key in the key safe. They were just making excuses . We got the keys at 8 after that cleaner took alot of time.
- Abel (10/5): Great location, comfortable on department - The location is excellent just a couple blocks away from the tower bridge and a few blocks away from train and underground station
- Ann (7/5): Good - Fabulous location, clean and comfortable. Great communication with the owner , no hassle re key collection.
- Andrew (1/5): You get what you pay for - Great location Not clean
Not comfortable
Intimidated by staff
- Ashleigh (3/5): We had a less than enjoyable stay here. Firstly on booking.com it said we could book in at 12pm (which is why we booked - The location. Cleanliness of the property and mishap of check in time.
- Leigh (6/5): Pleasant -
- Payal (6/5): Pleasant -
- Poh (10/5): Perfect!! Highly recommended. Super value for money. - Perfect location! Short walk from Train and Underground station. Tower Bridge just a couple streets away. The flat is well equipped and the owner communicates well.
Self check-in was easy. For a shy person like me, it was perfect because some of us don't like the daunting meetup with a landlord 😊. Owner made sure I was ok and comfortable via phone texts.
Staying in the comfy flat felt like I was staying at home. Bathroom and kitchen are well equipped. We even popped to a nearby 24 hour store to buy some stuff and cooked supper (was raining, so didn't venture out with toddler to eat). Tesco and M&S supermarket nearby.
I've been travelling to London more than 20 years and stayed at loads of places. I must say this one is definitely worth it! Will only stay here when I visit London again.
Extra bonus is my favourite restaurant Flat Iron is just few mins walk away 😂 Nothing
- Thomas (1/5): Appalling. Property wasn't ready. The owner didn't follow up with the promised refund. - The property wasn't ready and the key was also missing from the lockbox The owner offered a full refund and stated that they would contact Booking.com to organise this. No refund was actioned. My follow up texts asking about the refund were ignored. Emails from Booking.com to the owner asking about the refund were also ignored. This lead to a significant delay and Booking.com had to pay the refund.
- Viviana (8/5): Very good - Beautiful location, very close to the beautiful Tower Bridge and London Bridge station. Philip was extremely kind, helpful and it was really a pleasure to meet him.
- Tracey (7/5): Good -
- Giuliano (8/5): Very good - The flat is located in a wonderful area, very close to the Tower Bridge and transports. The flat is small but really fully equipped. It's perfect for a family of 4 persons. The hosts were very nice and always available for any request. Thank you so much Elizabeth (and your husband too). We'll come back again surely. Some minor maintenance and nothing else.
- Teik (1/5): Long Hair found in bed (bedding not changed) and severe delay in check in - not recommended - Owner was apologetic about delay (though not cleanliness) Would not recommend overall. There was a significant cleaning issue, I found left over food in the fridge, the floor in the bedroom had dirt and dust and I found long hairs in the bed (it appeared the sheets hadn't been cleaned and changed) which was the last straw. I expected a reasonable level of cleanliness and at the very least for the bed sheets to have been changed from the previous guest. There was also a significant delay in getting the room ready due to the "lateness of the cleaner" as a result I could not check in and collect keys until 18:30hrs which I found unacceptable - the owner was apologetic for this lateness but I think the fee / rate should have been reduced as you have not allowed me to access the room within the check-in time and the cleanliness is unacceptable.
- Chloe (10/5): Excellent apartment and outstanding staff - The people were lovely so accommodating, helpful just lovely..... right opposite is a weatherspoons for cheap breakfast drinks etc, easy to get a cab, bus etc anywhere.
Huge apartment lots of space and very clean.
We needed to check in super earlier and they accommodated this which was so helpful.
Will always try and book this apartment for trips to London. There is nothing we didn't like
- Emma (10/5): amazing stay - Perfectly located apartment!
Travelled to London for my daughters graduation, my 2 adult daughter and I had an amazing stay.
I stayed on the sofa bed in the living room, whilst my daughters shared the bedroom. We were so happy to find an iron and ironing board.
The kitchen and bathroom were well equipped, would definitely stay here again. :) The owner Elizabeth was so lovely messaging us to check everything was ok and to let us know she was on hand if needed. 😊 nothing
- Iliana (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the location, and Phil was very helpful and welcoming
The location was great
