Guest Reviews
- Emilson (9/5): A Good Place - I have loved privacy from day one. It was good and my family and I felt safe.
The location is good and quite Not much......but it cannot all be perfect. The flat would need a dedicated cleaner to do a job just after the previous occupiers have left.
- Rubab (4/5): - The apartment has separate bathroom, living room, kitchen and 2 bedrooms. It was a nice place to stay for a family with all living spaces available to use according to the size of it. Communication of host was good. Both the cupboards in the bedrooms were occupied with extra bedding, the bedding was dumped in the cupboard just like that without covering it up and was on the floor. One of the cupboard had only beddings in it and had no place to use for clothes and had some old nappies and other trash on it. There is no hot water coming from the sink of both bathroom and kitchen. The sofas had a lot of dust. In the bathroom there are many opened bottles of conditioner and other unlabelled bottles filled with I guess lotion? hand wash? I wouldn't know because they are unlabelled. The towels clearly looked old and overused. The beds were really squeaky every time I would even move slightly which kept me on edge the whole night. Also there were seagulls all over the surroundings area and would make constant loud noises throughout the early morning and also night. Overall it is a spacious apartment but it has been managed poorly. More efforts need to be put into making the apartment liveable and occupied comfortably by the guests. Not good value for money.
- Magdalena (6/5): Good location but disappointing flat. - Good location, spacious living room, free parking space and easiness of picking up the keys. Responsive host. The flat is neglected, needs deep cleaning. Appliances are old and not very easy to operate. There was some (used?) underwear left in the drawers and we could not use wardrobes as were full of rubbish. Kitchen is dirty.
- David (8/5): Very good - The apartment is in a good location, near but not on one of Aberdeen's main streets. The kitchen was well setup and there is a nice table to eat at. Living room and TV setup were nice. Temperature controls were relatively intuitive. If you are travelling with heavy suitcases be mindful of the stairs as this apartment is a the 3rd floor.
- Jeanette (9/5): Superb - Really clean, very quiet.
- Julie (3/5): Great location but good few faults sadly! - The flat is in a great location, very central, so good for exploring Aberdeen and we spent a few mornings in the beautiful Duthie park nearby. Also a very quiet area, didn’t hear a peep from neighbours/outside. Unfortunately, the accommodation was let down by quite a few things..The bed in the first bedroom is awful - can feel all the springs (and that’s with 2 duvets on top of mattress - these were put there already)..had a terrible first nights sleep so then 2 of us had to sleep on sofas on the other nights (there were 4 of us staying). Poor standard of cleanliness - cupboard doors and walls had food stains, dishes, glasses and cutlery not properly cleaned, dirty oven glove, dirty around light switches. Some cracks on some of the glasses and dinnerware. There was a small frying pan with a load of used oil in it, horrible to find when going to make breakfast! Fridge freezer not properly cleaned either. Dishes and glasses had been put away in random cupboards as though no thought given, just chucked in. No placemats or coasters so we used wooden chopping boards, as didn’t want to dirty the table cover etc. Minor thing but there was no cafetière, a pain only because we arrived late and really wanted our usual coffee the following morning. Yorkshire Tea box in the cupboard ...opened to find it was empty! Contacted the owner to ask if any extra loo rolls as only 2 very cheap small ones that was never going to do for 4 people for a 5 night stay. Owner replied to say 2 rolls is standard policy as people just take the extra home. I think this is poor, I’ve never had to go buy more loo roll anywhere I’ve stayed before (and yes we did need more!). The front door to the building was often wedged open and we weren’t sure to leave it like this or not as there was a sign on front saying it should always be shut. Bathroom light flickering constantly from moment we went in - managed to change ourselves as there were spares in cupboard, but made us think it’s likely it was like that when whoever cleaned it was last in but not changed.
The accommodation has the potential to be a lot better with a new bed, a better standard of cleaning and just bit more attention to detail..
- Edoardo (9/5): Lovely stay! - Building and neighborhood both quiet and safe, within walking distance to anywhere (busses, shop, bars, etc), good kitchen and wifi, clean and bright apartment, amazing host, helpful and flexible with time of checkin and checkout. Matress not great, it was ok for a couple of nights but not very comfy, so keep in mind if ur planning to stay for extensive period of time.
- Lindsay (10/5): Just what we wanted. Owner was very helpful and answered all our questions. - Very clean. Comfortable beds. Had everything we needed. Parking was available. On the third floor- stairs rather steep for elderly relative. Very cold when we first arrived but heaters worked well.
- Gill (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay, will definitely book again. - It was comfortable and very convenient for the city centre. The free parking was a real bonus. Nothing major at all. It seems really petty but oven gloves and a baking tray were the only things missing for us.
- Charles (8/5): Very good - Is okay No staff but responded to our request
- Sachin (10/5): Best home stay experience in Aberdeen - Excellently kept apartment, it felt like a home away from home. Kudos to our host Natalia for ensuring the place is clean and tidy and for the well stocked cupboards.
From over 5 places I stayed before in Aberdeen, this was definitely the best. Can't think of anything
- Suellen (10/5): Perfect location in an upscale part of Glasgow I just loved it, you still have the possibility to go to the gym which is - The apartment was extremely clean and organized. I was also welcomed to the apartment where I received all the institutions in the apartment, they were very attentive and welcoming. Thank you for everything! If I can say something I didn't like, only the windows that open just a little leaving the house with poor ventilation.
- Bruce (9/5): Superb -
