Guest Reviews
- Sandra (7/5): -
- Papageorgiou (9/5): - Beautiful, calm and clean! Location a bit far from the center but next to the nature! Loved it! Beds are so comfy! There is shower gel, shampoo and olive oil and salt for cooking, really appreciated! Recommend it. If you don't have a car might be a bit far to walk back since the accommodation is in Sacromonte which is on a hill. It's 25-30' from the center. Also, if you are using the big telephone in the shower, it might flood, since the shower cover is not completed closed. It happened and we had water all over the entrance. Apart from this, everything was perfect!
- Inma (9/5): -
- Krzysztof (10/5): - Beautiful views and clean. All good.
- Ju-Jiun (4/5): -
- Gail (9/5): Very nice stylish property - Fantastic location with views over the Alhambra. Nice patio area and stylish interior. The shower base had no rim and the shower had no door. We had to roll up a towel to stop water coming out. The first time someone had a shower the water spilt into the next room and we had to mop it up. There was also a leak in the small window near the ceiling so water leaked in as it rained heavily.
- Manon (6/5): Bel endroit rustique !
Was uns man wissen sollte: Die Wohnung ist sehr hellhörig.
E a acomodação é confortável.
Muito perigoso, devem colocar algum anti-derrapante no lugar do banho.
- Carlos (10/5): Experiencia INOLVIDABLE - Ubicación excepcional en el Sacromonte . Frente a la Alhambra . Casa cueva muy acogedora , muy limpia y trato exquisito . Hemos quedado encantados … VOLVEREMOS !!!!
- Els (7/5): A special experience - The host was very friendly and helpful. The cueva was 10' on foot to the bus or the cueva Los Tarantos to see the Flamenco show. The neighbourhood was calm and from the first floor you have a view on the Alhambra. Last minute this location was not available and we had to move to La casa del Aljiba which was a big house with different rooms. It was a pity as we wanted to have the experience of staying in a cueva. The other guests were a bit noisy in the evening. Although we had to move we didn't get a refund.
- Mike (9/5): - Fantastic location. Very comfortable and cosy. Unfortunately it rained the whole time we stayed so we didn't get to enjoy the spectacular views from the balcony.
- Georgia (10/5): - This place was pure magic.
- Sila (9/5): -
- Maria dolores (10/5): -
- jayne (10/5): - The experience of staying in a cave house . It being cold but its january .
- Lydia (7/5): - Tucked into Sacromonte’s hillside caves, this stay felt quintessentially Granada: a quiet perch above the city, moments from flamenco shows and evening strolls through white-washed lanes. The cave room was spotless and comfortable, but keep expectations simple—no in-room tea, coffee or breakfast, and the terrace, while boasting sweeping valley views, doesn’t frame the Alhambra. For travellers who value location and authenticity over extras, it’s a memorable base; just pack your own morning brew.
- paloma (8/5): -
- Emine (9/5): Overall enjoyed, recommend for those who doesn't mind walking uphill! - Coziness, good location, beautiful view, warmth, clean Towels weren't changed until we asked for that
- al-abed (7/5): Very cool place but could be even better - Beautiful location & very uniquely designed space! Amazing view from just outside the property. The beds and pillows are not really comfortable, they felt old & worn out. We had trouble getting our key and locking/ unlocking our door because the locks are old and need maintenance/ replacing.
- sophie (9/5): - Parfait

- Aman (8/5): -
- Klaudia (8/5): All in all fantastic place. - Fantastic experience! We were worried about the accessibility of the place as we were travelling with my elderly parents and unfortunately we didn’t receive answers to our questions, when we asked the host. We have also be sent to the wrong address due to miscommunication.
- Guntars (10/5): -
- Ailish (10/5): Absolutely delightful - Beautiful property, well stocked and laid out Couldn’t fault it
- Maria (10/5): -
- Totsaporn (10/5): Unique apartment, well equipped and nice view - Unique apartment, well equipped and nice view A bit walk up the hill and it could feel stuffy inside if you don’t open the window or turn on the extractor fan inside which is a bit loud.
- Heather (10/5): - Beautiful location, wonderful accommodation.
- Mujahid (10/5): -
Nada.
- Muji (10/5): Lovely location and a beautiful place. - Location.
- Iain (10/5): Tremendous location.you need a minimum of two nights here to appreciate Granada - What an authentic place to stay. Quiet end of town with fantastic views. The walk up to it takes you through the old town. All white washed houses and terrific views of the Alhambra palace. Well worth the climb. The place is unmanned and you get your keys from a padlocked box. A bit of a hassle with filling in emails. I had to call in the end to get the key code to open the padlock.
- Chiara (10/5): Cueva acolhedora - A Cueva é deliciosa e acolhedora, com excelente espaço exterior e numa zona privilegiada com vista maravilhosa. É preciso ir com calçado confortável e mochila do estacionamento à habitação. Com uma mala convém ir de táxi.
- Liv M.B. (9/5): -
- Bianca (10/5): -
- Bert (7/5): Unieke plek in Granada. - Unieke ervaring.
- Katherine (6/5): Unique experience; 1 night is enough - It is a unique experience which is why to do it. View is lovely. Quiet. Could see the Alhambra just up the path so didn’t need to go to Mirador. Rooms were clean, beds comfy, water pressure good. Things to know: no car access - steep climb up many stairs with rugged rocky path. Don’t bring heavy suitcase! No aircon but Caves have natural coolness. Not much in the area- a few restaurants but no shops so bring drinks and snacks with you. Long way from action in the city. Tricky to walk as on very small streets sometimes without sidewalks - very narrow to walk esp after dark. Taxi has difficulty finding the street as several paths up the mountain. No one is on site to help. Can’t get in until 4pm and no place to wait or leave your bags. Difficulty opening lock box (one of the other guests said same thing) so instructions in message could be MUCH clearer. Also they didn’t answer the bell or phone and took 30 min to respond to chat in booking.com. We were on verge of cancelling as so frustrating.
- Grazyna (10/5): - Pokoje schludne i czyste . Łóżka wygodne. Cisza piękne widoki . Byliśmy zachwyceni. Nie było takiej rzeczy .
- Jane (8/5): Beautiful area, beautiful view… needs a deep clean and a fan - It’s of course a beautiful and unique stay! I had messaged them about not being able to find a wine opener and they told me they would bring me one the next day… but they never did and they didn’t respond to my messages until after we left. Also, the tv didn’t work (I messaged them about it but they never answered), and it was quite hot in the cave! Cobwebs in corners and on dining ware.
- Sonia (8/5): -
- Rebekka (9/5): -
- Johannes (10/5): Ganz ganz toller Ort. - Eine wunderschöne Höhle. Kühl im heißen Sommer. Liebevoll eingerichtet. Komfortables Bett. Idyllische beschattete Terrasse vor der Tür. Es war wunderbar
- Joserra Martínez (6/5): -
- Parul (8/5): Lovely experience and views are amazing but wished we had someone to speak with upon arrival. - The location is stunning. Getting into our accommodations was tough. The code initially did not work and there was no one on site to help us. When we were finally able to get someone on the phone, they could not find our booking. Because the area is a bit remote and not so easy to find, it would be really helpful if someone could meet us to let us in and let us know where we can buy groceries, etc. I sent many texts asking for suggestions but unfortunately, they were not helpful. Overall, the place is beautiful and an amazing experience if you are okay with slowly finding your way on your own.
- Dr. (3/5): Far from the city, unsafe and very unprofessional service - The view of the Alhambra from the viewpoint not far from the accommodation was very nice (but you can also have it if you go for a short walk there). It was also pleasantly cool in the cave, without any air conditioning. Unfortunately, our “neighbors” went on a rampage for hours every night (wild insults, wild shouting under strong influence of alcohol, constant door slamming in the middle of the night, etc.). It was dangerous and like being in a "drinking hole". We felt extremely unsafe there. The host did react the first night and allegedly warned the neighbors. But the next night it was even worse and the host was unavailable. I then requested a partial refund of the price. I was assured that I would hear back, but this has not happened for weeks (to date). Overall, the service was therefore very unprofessional. We will never book there again. It was - by far - our worst experience in the whole Spain trip.
Apart from that, the location was very far from the city. The surroundings of the accommodation were not particularly inviting either.
- Houyem (6/5): Nice location and authentic experience. However, the hygiene standards did not meet expectations. - The location was perfect and the host was very friendly. The property wasn’t clean, and the bed had bed bugs, which caused an allergic reaction in one of our group members.
- Susanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hamdi (8/5): Very good -
- Steve (1/5): Poor - It was a cave No excess, bad drain smells, owner tried to mask with bleach, stray cats come in if you leave door open, or if you sit outside cats keep bothering you.
- Lisanne (9/5): Superb -
- Laura (10/5): Authentic, comfortable and relaxing, not to mention view to die for. - Loved the authenticity of this cave hotel. Location was just perfect, close to everything but felt a million miles away. So relaxing with the gorgeous private outdoor space. Communication was 10/10 as well. Would definitely recommend. 5 min walk up relatively steep path to get to, but just take it slow and it is very much part of the charm. Will be back! Nothing!
- Deirdre (10/5): Exceptional - Cozy, clean, and great location!
- Badger66 (10/5): Fantastic stay in a real cave next to the Cave Museum and above La Canastera Flamenco. - It was, of course, really fun and interesting to stay in a cave in this historic neighborhood of cave homes in Sacromonte. The kitchen was well supplied. The bathroom was nice. The beds were a little hard but just fine. It was quiet. There was a gorgeous view right out the front. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. No complaints.
- Jenifer (10/5): Excellent - Rooftop Terence Beds were uncomfortable
- Jones (10/5): Staying in this Gitano cave house was an amazing and unique experience- we loved it! - Visiting Sacramonte and staying in a cave house has been on my list of things to do for a very long time and it didn’t disappoint! Daniel was a magnificent host and the house catered to all our needs. We had a wonderful stay and I highly recommend it to others seeking such a unique experience! Nada
- Jessica (9/5): Authentic cave stay in beautiful location - Cosy, clean, beautiful area with a lovely patio (people kept asking at the gate if it was a cafe haha) and if you step around the corner there are stunning views of the Alhambra and beyond. It had everything we needed for self catering (I recommend the Elemen supermarket as the only one open as per google hours!) and a short walk to the flamenco caves and the cave museum. There was a little misunderstanding about how accessible it was because of the hills and cobbles (I was with my 75yo mum) but going slowly was fine, and we already knew Sacromonte was not flat. However the host immediately changed the details on the advert for future guests which is appreciated.
