• Elisea (10/5): Falla en la Puerta de acceso. - El desayuno, excelente en precio y calidad. La entrada, es una pequeña rampa y como llueve muy seguido se pone resbalosa...es una condicion insegura. El acceso, es medio complicado por que si la contraseña no funiciona y tuvimos que esperar a que abrieran y no hay ese servicio nocturno.

• Marvin Thomas (9/5): - Clean and comfortable with very friendly and helpful owner and staff. Basic accommodation, but great value. If I come back to Xilitla, I'd definitely stay here again. Nothing. It was all good.
• Matt (10/5): Great experience and outstanding value - The Posada is simple but extremely comfortable and in a great location. We were greeted warmingly and enjoyed learning about the local culture. We had the "fuerte" breakfast which was a excellent but too much for us to eat. If you are looking for luxary, this is not for you. But if you want to stay in a place that is both authentic and a tremendous value, the Posada is ideal.

The host was super kind and with a passion to share her culture and connect with guests - at the same time, we had all the privacy we needed. It is a short walk into the center. The rooms on the street side m once upon a time must have had stunning views of the surrounding valley but new construction is slowly blocking that, and play music late into the night :/

• Alejandro (10/5): Lovely stay at Jardín Huasteca Xilitla - This is a peaceful spot in Xilitla. Eva is very sweet and welcoming. She was always teaching us about Xilitla’s culture and promoting local communities that sell food and handicrafts. The food was delicious (definitely get the breakfast with Eva!). Jardín Huasteca Xilitla is close to the main square, yet far enough away that you don’t hear the noise. The bathroom door was hard to close.

• Lucie (8/5): Bon rapport qualité/prix et un accueil incroyable - L'hôtel est situé tout près du centre à pied. L'accueil était chaleureux et notre hôtesse très accueillante. La climatisation était bien utile pour avoir une chambre fraîche avant de se coucher. Le petit-déjeûner était simple mais très bon avec du café à la cannelle et des gâteaux faits par des communautés locales. Et le jardin est coloré et magnifique ! Il faut juste avoir en tête qu'il peut faire très chaud et très humide à Xilitla donc les logements peuvent présenter des traces d'humidité.

Our room lacked ventilation and although we had an aircon unit, it made so much noise that we couldn't sleep with it on. A small window in the bathroom will help just to ventilate the space.

From the delicious breakfast (as long as you're willing to experience local culture), the friendly and knowledgeable hostess, room amenities, to the beautiful rustic look. All were perfect for a couples getaway. Definitely recommend it.. We personally had no issues, but others may Have a problem with the steep ramp up to the front entrance of the posada..
• Kim (10/5): Small but perfect - Every effort has been made to make the place special, from the room decorations and the decor to the garden and its plants. It's a great base for exploration, or just to relax and eat the fruit of the lotus for a few days. Eva and the other staff are friendly, helpful and quite unflappable.

The room was beautifully rustic and had everything we needed, and the owners and their family incredibly welcoming and helpful despite our mangling of Spanish - a snifter on arrival and a lovely breakfast the next morning. WiFi not the fastest but reliable. Great shower. No aircon (we knew this in advance) but the ceiling fan did a good job. Just outside the very centre of town and therefore a good bit quieter. We'd definitely stay here again.

Great location just a 5 minute walk from the plaza. Lots of information for tours in the area. Great shower. Very unique and beautiful rooms. Good AC. Decent free breakfast with the option to upgrade. Beautiful building and courtyard area. They do warn you in the welcome message, but there is a very steep ramp to walk up to the front door. All the streets in general in Xilitla are very steep. Spotty wifi. If you're staying on the lower floor, you will hear everything happening in the courtyard area.

Please do not expect a "Hilton" like room/bathroom. But as you do not pay a "Hilton" price neither, I think it is more than fair ! The owner EVA is the PERFECT host, as friendly and helpful as any human ever can be, she is just wonderful and the soul of Xilitla - we were amazed by you hospitality, and will come back in 3 month with you again - THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING, what a wonderful stay we had !!!!!!!

We prefer our coffee to be a little stronger than was served and both of us would have liked a fruit other than apple. It was a bit disappointing based on other reviews we read. Room amenities lacking - chair, bedside table, dresser, better place to hang clothes. Window, by bed leaked. No need for two fans. Prefer 24 hour hot water.

The facilities would be considered nice and perfect for backpackers who want privacy and for those looking for luxury stays, would probably not enjoy this place. This feels like you are living in someone’s home. You are. Friendly People come and go for deliveries and to say hi downstairs all the time. The neighborhood can be loud like most of Mexico at night and that’s part of the charm. It’s a nice walk to the place.

• Gheorghita (10/5): Great family - The key of the property is the family itself and the nature you can observe in their garden. If you gen your energy from looking at nature and interacting with the family behind the business the place is for you. Their kindness and openness impressed us and being able to watch colibríes in the garden was exceptional. It can get pretty hot and would be nice to have insect nets to be able to proper ventilate in the evening/during the night.
