• Johann (10/5): Halfway Heaven! - Prachtig modern Guesthouse 180 meter boven de lagoon van Knysna, gelegen aan de Brenton zijde. De hotelkamer met balkon was gerieflijk en had een fabuleus uitzicht. De lounge had een courtesy bar. Het ontbijt was uitstekend. De gastvrijheid van de gastvrouw, Dirkie, was groot. Geen negatieve ervaringen

• Carola (8/5): Schade, da könnte man mehr draus machen. - Wir hatten uns sehr auf dieses moderne und neue Guesthouse gefreut, aber es blieb hinter den Erwartungen zurück. Betten gut, Raum groß, sauber, ruhige Lage und der Blick auf die Lagune waren gut Das Ambiente war kühl und wenig gastlich. Das Frühstück war sehr lieblos - Eier wurden offenbar Stunden vorher gekocht, Butter unappetitlich angeschmolzen, kein Orangensaft, kein Cappucino. Andere Eier als hartgekocht und kalt gab es nur auf Vorbestellung am Vortag ( bei insgesamt 4 Gästen ). Die kamen dann glibberig und lieblos an. Dieses Frühstück war keine Freude. Keine Liegen draußen, der Pool wenig einladend. Die halboffene Toilette und das Milchglas zum Flur, dass nachts jedes Flurlicht von draußen durchlies, waren auch nicht ideal.

• Mpho (5/5): Average experience - Location was amazing. 1)House keeping was poor. We stayed 4 nights and our bedding was changed only once. 2) Roof was leaking 3) Their breakfast was only cold food. No fried or cooked items.
• Michelle (9/5): Views of Knysna - What a beautiful view overlooking Knysna from a very modern room. While this property is located a little outside of Knysna, and you would need a car to get around, the views from this property are worth it. The host is extremely friendly and even booked a dinner for us on our first night, which given we went in high season, was really appreciated. The tea and coffee stations as well as the books and games to borrow really create such a fun atmosphere and you could easily spend the day in your room or next to the pool relaxing. The bed and pillow was not too comfortable.

• Joanna (7/5): Mixed stay - Absolutely stunning views - could not fault the property in terms of aesthetics. Johan kindly booked us into a local restaurant for our first night and was very helpful with recommendations. Roof leaked during the night as heavy rainfall and was dripping on partners head- although could not be helped, I did not feel that the hosts were great at empathising with this situation or looking to rectify it. Breakfast was very average- only one boiled egg each. No sun loungers downstairs in communal area by pool so not able to lounge really.

• Russel (10/5): A hidden gem. The perfect escape from the stress of your daily grind, where one can unwind and be emersed into the beaut - My wife and I had an amazing 4 night stay. Johan and his wife Dirkie were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. The view over the Knysna Lagoon was absolutely breathtaking from our corner bedroom (Unit 6) with floor to ceiling windows which was amazingly beautiful to experience. Large bathroom and open plan bedroom. Fast wifi. 5 min drive from Brenton on Sea beach. Lovely breakfast. Surrounded by nature. Very quiet and relaxing venue, far away from the hustle and bustle of Knysna. No aircon in the bedroom and with the floor to ceiling windows the bedroom got extremely humid / hot compared to the rest of the guesthouse. There is a fan but don’t do much.
• Juls (8/5): Exceptional views in a rather cold ambience - The location of the guesthouse is really exceptional and the view from the room couldn't be better. The room is very spacious and modern, the beds are very comfortable. Dirkie is very friendly and made reservations in advance at great restaurants. The stuffy decoration doesn't match the modern design, prohibition signs and rules are everywhere. The breakfast is poor and the presentation is reminiscent of a youth hostel. In the bathroom everything (sink, toilet and showerhead) is very low. The toilet flush is abnormally loud, which is a problem at night in the open bathroom. The ambience was uninviting, there were no pool loungers and the atmosphere was rather cold

• Michael (10/5): Sehr ruhig gelegene Unterkunft mit fantastischer Aussicht auf die Lagune von Knysna - Die auf einem Hügel oberhalb der Lagune von Knysna gelegene Unterkunft bietet eine einzigartige Aussicht direkt vom Zimmer. Man ist auch in 5 Minuten am wunderschönen Strand von Brenton-on-Sea. Die Ausstattung ist neu und sehr komfortabel. Dirkie (Gastgeberin) kümmert sich sehr herzlich um ihre Gäste ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Eigentlich nichts. Wenn man auf hohem Niveau meckern wollte - das Frühstück ist völlig ausreichend (mit frischem Obst) aber hat noch etwas Luft nach oben im Vergleich zu anderen Guesthäusern in Südafrika.

• Magda (9/5): An unforgettable view! - Such a relaxing stay with breathtaking views! You won’t get tired of looking out of the glass windows. Bring a nice sleeping mask if you want to sleep in! Many thanks to Dirkie who is a fantastic host, she gave us amazing recommendations and did not hesitate when we asked if we could do laundry as we were on the road for many days! If you are travelling to this guesthouse while temperatures are really high please mind that as there is no AC in the room, the fan is great but might not be enough.

Besides that, the hosts were amazing and extremely friendly, check-in was seamless, the place was spotless and it had all the facilities. The location is superb. My partner and I absolutely enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend the place if you want to relax and enjoy your stay. 10/10.

It's a new build, modern design, very spacey with low eco footprint, a bit off grid in the positive way. Only six rooms and very personal. Dirkie and Johan as owners and hosts are very friendly and helpful. Don't be surprised if the rising sun is waking you up in the morning ...

It feels like sleeping under the stars and in the mornings the sunrise is magical. We experienced all this from the luxury of our comfy warm bed. This is an experience not to be missed!
