• Jacky (9/5): Nicely-furnished apartment with a great view of the harbour in a quiet part of Pothia, Kalymnos. - The apartment has a wonderful view and catches the morning sun so it's lovely to sit out there and eat breakfast. The interior has been thoughtfully decorated and it's what I'd call traditional Greek. There is a large kitchen/sitting room with a high ceiling and plenty of room. Good sized fridge-freezer and a good cooker with an oven. In the bathroom there is a washing machine which was great; our clothes & towels pretty much dried overnight on the rack provided on the patio. The bed was comfy and it wasn't so hot in May that we needed the air-conditioner. We really liked the place. If you are walking up from the ferry, I'll repeat what other reviewers have said: there are a lot of steps. If you have reduced mobility or a massive suitcase, you'll have difficulty. Although the kitchen was well equipped, the cutlery needs to be replaced. Many of the plastic handles are loose. It was a cheap note in an otherwise classy place. The double bed is against the wall, so one of you will have to get used to climbing over your partner to get in & out!

• Anthony (10/5): Kalimnos port vuew - A lovely apartment just above the main port (albeit with plenty of steps to negotiate). Well equipped with good air-conditioning (quiet too). Only a hundred metres or so from the nearest beach and a 15 minute walk from the restaurants and bars. Very quiet overnight. Nothing
• DIMITRAZYM (10/5): Η πιο όμορφη θέα του νησιού - Ένα τέλειο κατάλυμα με την πιο όμορφη θέα της Καλύμνου!!!!!!! πεντακάθαρα ολα,δεν μας έλειψε τίποτα στη διαμονή μας!Μεγάλο προσόν το πλυντήριο,τα αποριπαντικα και η απλώστρα μπαλκονιού!!! Το προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα γιατί είναι σε σημείο που όλα είναι κοντά και το λιμάνι στα πόδια σου!!! Όλα ήταν υπέροχα

• ANASTASIA (10/5): - Πολύ όμορφο διαμέρισμα, πλήρως εξοπλισμένο, σε κοντινή απόσταση από το λιμάνι και το κέντρο της πόλης (αποστάσεις που καλύπτονται με τα πόδια). Έχει όμορφο και άνετο εξωτερικό χώρο αλλά καθόλου θέα.

I arrived late, very late at night...not the fault of the property. I had difficulty finding the place...but again, not their fault. In the light of day....it was easy!!

• Terry (9/5): Excellent but should have communicated to my host how we were arriving and how to get the luggage up - Size of the apartment and the view from all windows The steps leading up to the room. Assistance is clearly required to get up there.
• Tunc (8/5): Very well decorated clean apartment but a bit hard to reach. - Very well decorated, roomy, clean and cool environment. It is not easy to reach due to the nature of the narrow roads and steep stairs. This is true for almost all roads around the island. So be prepared.

• John (9/5): Well-equipped, well-situated apartment - We only stayed on Kalymnos for 2 nights, so we were undecided about a hotel vs apartment. Sunrise beats any equivalent hotel on a value for money basis; it's been recently renovated, and has good facilities and lots of space in the lounge. We stayed in the upper apartment (note that the pictures on booking.com combine 2 different apartments) where there's a narrow terrace from which to admire the sunrise, watch the ferries come and go (it is only a 5 minute walk to the terminal or to the main seafront taverna's and bars), or just read a book. The hosts were super friendly, and though we were on an earlier ferry than planned, we were able to enter the property straight away. There's efficient air conditioning separately in the bedroom as well as the main living area, and the sun doesn't shine directly into the property after mid morning, so it doesn't get too hot. We were delighted that not only was there some washing powder provided, the washing machine cycles had been translated by the hosts into English - a lovely touch. This was only one example of a really good welcome pack and instructions. We would certainly stay there again if we came to Kalymnos. It's undeniable that access from the quayside or town requires guests to ascend to the property (to compensate, there is a good view from the apartment!). We suggest that guests on foot with heavy suitcases should walk along the street past the town beach towards Gefira, and then double back along a narrow street to the apartment; yes it's further, but it will avoid most of the steps. The other challenge was that the bed occupies much of the bedroom space - either one person sleeps right next to the wall, or they need to climb over a corner of the bed to get out. Maybe there's a smarter way to lay out the room to give more access space?
