• Matthew (5/5): Great view, nice living space but tired - View outstanding. Couch / living space and outlook great. Tired property. Example include coffee machine didn’t work. BBQ small and an afterthought. Fridge beeped regularly for no apparent reason etc.
• Arndell (8/5): Although we went for a very sad Memorial for our best friend we felt comfort being there together. - Location spectacular. Beds furniture good. Kitchen good. Bed linen very good.Underfloor heating fantastic as the Antartic winds hit the coast. I lovePatonga it’s unique reminding me of our childhood holidays. The old buildings as you enter the property whether they were occupied or not. The toilet and laundry I understand would have been original but probably need decent second toilet. The door handles need an update nothing worse than getting stranded in the loo. The outside lighting very poor .
• Monica (6/5): Pricey for what it was, with several aspects of the property that makes you feel uncomfortable. - Location was great There was an unexplained run down demountable right in front of the house that had a bunk bed in it and curtains half drawn so we didn’t know if people were living in it - the main bedroom we slept in also overlooks it, so we kept the curtains closed. The lounge, which you walk past each time you need to use the bathroom, has no curtains and we’ve had several people walk right next to it as there is no fence between the property and the beach. The multiple signs around the property in red with exclamation marks reminding you to put things where you found them (e.g. can’t leave dishes drying in the dish rack, you need to wait until they dry and put them back in the cupboard) plus signs for the cleaners to check the property has X amount of cutlery (in cases guests have broken/stole any) was completely unnecessary and unwelcoming. The staff dealing with the booking were also not great with communication - I had to call a few times on the day I checked in to chase the locker details to get the keys. The pamphlet that the keys were in with the return address for the keys was also incorrect (their old address) and different to the address on booking.com.
