Guest Reviews
- Jo (10/5): Perfect stay. - Very well appointed room , with excellent facilities. Very comfortable and super quiet! Nothing
- Joanna (10/5): Welcoming, clean, comfortable, had lovely food and the air con a plus on a very hot day. Shame I watched some kids destr - Clean and plenty of parking. Nothing
- Malina Bien (9/5): - Lovely location and well designed room, no fuff with trying to get keys so easy to get in La k of breakfast was a big one for us to mark it down
- Robert (7/5): - Large car park
Lovely rooms etc
Useful kitchen area with fridge Difficult.
My annoyance is with Booking.com for their lack of details in the description of the hotels. No gripe with the property.
Rarely is the size of car park mentioned. When driving a larger vehicle or towing a trailer this would be useful . Thankfully this has a big car park.
My main complaint is that this property does not open on a Monday or a Tuesday. No food or no bar. I was unaware of this until after I had paid and couldn’t cancel . The hotel did inform me of this in their excellent communications so I was able to make alternative plans.
I didn’t meet or speak to anyone at the hotel or use any of the facilities so cannot comment but it does look nice.As a frequent traveler I mainly use Holiday inn, mainly because of experiences like this. I don’t like this lack of detail. Booking.com need to improve its description and be more accurate please.

- Michelle (8/5): Beautiful, clean, slept incredibly well. - Beautifully clean, lovely touches and finishes the room was done to a really gorgeous standard, loved the red rose in the vase and soft drinks and crisps in the fridge :), very tasteful and good quality. I would have preferred to have been able to make tea / coffee in my room instead of a shared kitchen, and would have loved an option for a continental breakfast.

- Paula (10/5): Cosy stay with lots of parking. Spotlessly clean - Very cosy and clean. Great little kitchen and snacks and soft drinks left for us. Nothing to dislike.
- Suzanne (10/5): - Very clean, and tidy, everything i needed plus a little kitchen to make tea and coffee with an oven and microwave which was great
I didnt interact with staff but checking in and out instructions were good. I would have preferred to know a few days in advance that the restaurant was closed on the Tuesday i arrived, as I could have brought food up to make in the kitchen. It may well have been on the website but a direct message would have been better.
- Wayne (10/5): well done to The Crown - We struggled to get in at first but there was a member of staff still in the pub. It was close by to Burnham which had a v good Itailian It is difficult to find fault. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels which have been less roomy and less comfortable. My biggest gripe was that we were only there for one night but as I have to travel down to see clients again in the future this will be a chosen destination and I will stay a few days.
- Roger (10/5): A very enjoyable stay in all respects - Wonderful staff and a beautiful setting Zero
- Barbara (8/5): -
- Lorna (9/5): Beautiful accommodation, very clean, quiet and comfortable. - N/A No coffee facilities within room.
- Lara (10/5): Perfect in every way! Loved it. -
- Hannah (10/5): Beautiful place to rest and wonderful hosts - Beautiful location, stylish but cosy pub with lovely hosts
- Louise (10/5): -
- Denise (9/5): Lovely quiet location and great standard of accomodation - Very well furnished. Loved the fresh flowers, cleanliness and shower. Small point but it would be nice to have a kettle in the room as when i got up early, i didn't like to wake others up by going to the kitchen to make a cup of tea.
- Karen (8/5): - Comfortable, nicely decorated room. Decent shower.. Outdoor stairs could have been swept and generally tidied up.
- Millie-Rose (9/5): Great value and luxurious - Great room, shared kitchen a great pub downstairs. Wish breakfast was an option but there is a cafe only a short walk away in town which they helpfully recommended.

- Julia (10/5): Nice stay - Lovely room. Great location for where we needed to be. Friendly staff. Nothing
- Annette (9/5): - The storage and surfaces were excellent. Lovely atmosphere to the room and high standard bathroom fittings with lovely large soft towels. The mattress was not as comfortable as it should be
I could feel the springs .
- Bimla (8/5): Delightful, comfortable and clean and much better than expected for pub rooms. A lovely stay thanks. - I liked the room - it was spacious and comfortable with a nice bathroom and clean fluffy towels. The small shared kitchen was useful with a microwave and cutlery etc so as the pub doesn't open on a monday and tuesday when I was staying it meant I could still make myself food which I bought from the local supermarket. The grounds are lovely and with horses which was a nice treat. Good car park - plenty of space and it felt safe. I didn't see any staff so I wasn't sure what would have happened if there had been an emergency - although there was a mobile number provided. Unfortunately the kitchen was not cleaned nor the coffee cups and spoons replaced during my stay - there were bottles from the other occupant who had also used all the cups and spoons meaning I had to make do slightly. Also no real coffee - only instant which I can't stand - and as in a village no options for better coffee unless you fancy a drive. Wifi didn't reach to my bedroom so I had to hotspot on my phone. Thankfully phone signal was good so no issue there. These are minor issues - the rest of the stay was great.
- Anthony (10/5): - Great stop off spot to relax Nothing
- Mark (10/5): Lovely, would absolutely recommend as well as stay there again myself. - Very comfortable bed, smart TV in the room, excellent pressure in the shower, the little kitchen with fridge freezer was much appreciated, very soft blanket on the bed! Staff were very friendly and helpful but not always easy to find.
- Emma (10/5): Excellent rooms, fabulous food, can’t wait to go again - Beautifully set up. Room was lovely, decor very well thought through considering the age of the property. Nothing to not like
- James (8/5): Comfortable - Very simple accommodation, easy to access and no messing around. Very high standard of fit out and very comfortable and quiet. The little kitchen was really handy. Parking was easy. Had a very comfortable stay. The pub is shut on most week days, so if you wanted a pint or some food then you are not in luck. (we did not need this so it is didn't bother us. Also bring your own breakfast, as there will be none available.
- Patrick (9/5): Lovely room in a lovely bistro pub in a wonderful location - Lovely modern room in a very nice bistro pub in a wonderful location. Excellent food and wines served by a friendly and professional staff. Real relaxing stay. Nothing. All very good
- Paul (10/5): Great staff, friendly and professional. Beautifully designed and appointed room. Comfortable. Great toiletries. Just per - Great staff, friendly and professional. Beautifully designed and appointed room. Comfortable. Great toiletries. Just perfect in every way. 10/10. Nothing, it was perfect.
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Martin (8/5): Very good -
- Di (9/5): Superb -
- Carl (10/5): Another fantastic stay and my favourite place in the local area - The room is lovely, it’s incredibly clean, comfortable and looks amazing. Plus the little touches from the hosts make it feel like a home from home and extra special, like the complimentary minibar and kitchen Mothing
- Tara (10/5): Very comfortable - Room, very clean Check out was a little too early!
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Noel (10/5): Excellent - Everything Nothing
- John (8/5): Very good - (No breakfast was included.)
The room was a good size, the bed was very comfortable and the en suite was very clean and well-equipped.
The location is excellent for Burnham Beeches forest walks. There is no lift to the rooms and the exterior staircase is steep for us old folk. The lone staff member was busy in the bar so we were kept waiting 10 minutes to sign in and no help was available to help take luggage upstairs.
- Shaun (10/5): Exceptional - Beautifully decorated. Excellent standard of fit and finish. Very good facilities. In a nice quiet area and a very cosy bar downstairs
- Liam (10/5): Amazing accommodation and cozy room - Amazing accommodation, very welcoming hosts, comfy bed and amazing room and facilities
- Grace (10/5): Flawless! - Absolutely gorgeous rooms, high end facilities and friendly, accommodating staff. The perfect location just a 20 minute drive from Windsor Castle and 1 hour by train to London Waterloo. Could not rate this place more highly.
- Martin (6/5): Pleasant - Staff slow to act , no real interaction , room nice , value wise bit steep , only real complaint was the loo roll was cheap !
Ok stay bit pricy at £140 with no breakfast Poor interaction , paying up front before even being shown to room
- Miles (7/5): Good -
- Jackie (8/5): Great stay, lovely place and you must make an effort to eat here! - Location, beautiful area, lovely pub & restaurant though we didn’t eat there, wish we had!
Great atmosphere Friday night, really good singer in the private room, thoroughly enjoyed it! No breakfast service available. We arrived late, so kitchen closed but we were disappointed to not be able to try the menu which looked amazing.
- Graham (6/5): You should inform guests that the pub would not be open on Monday and Tuesday! - Facilities Nice
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (6/5): Pleasant - No tea for morning and we weren’t told when booking pub was closed on day of booking
- Diana (8/5): Great Potential - Gorgeous country setting. Newly remodeled room. Pub downstairs with celebrity chef wasn’t open either day (Monday and Tuesday). No breakfast included in the room rate and you must book ahead if you want breakfast. They had ladders up, were scraping paint and doing external repairs on arrival. Workmen everywhere. £180 was way too much to ask for what it was.
- Kirsty (9/5): Superb -
