- Iryna (10/5): A really cozy 3 story house, warm and very clean✨ - Everything was great, it had a home-like vibe.
There is everything you would need, everything is thought to the smallest detail to make your stay comfortable Nothing to point out
- August (9/5): Perfect stay to explore Purveck Islabd. - Beautiful home, cosy but also very stylish. A lot of thought clearly gone into creating a home away from home property. Would highly recommend. Only downside but would not stop us returning was parking not easy and not something I’d attempt alone as needed someone to help me get arounds tight bend when getting onto drive.
- Caroline (10/5): Lovely stay at the property to attend a family wedding. - A lovely spacious property, Fantastic garden and generous rooms. The ow ers left a lovely welcoming note and some milk and bubbly in the fridge.
- Louise (10/5): Very enjoyable stay in a lovely area of the country - Cosy and well equipped. Great location.
- Jean-Louis (10/5): Far from the madding crowd but still in the center of a Little Town - Welcoming, charming.
- Terry (10/5): Lovely property, clean and well thought out in a great location - Great location. Excellent facilities and everything thought of in the house. Very clean and well cared for. Great outside space. Being of the older generation the stairs a little trying.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Great location for exploring Dorset - The location was excellent. The garden was lovely. It was very hot but there was always some shade. The house was nicely decorated and very clean. The only problem was reversing up the drive. We had 2 largish cars and it was much easier for the second car to use the long stay car park.
- Laureline (10/5): The holiday house you would dream of - Everything was just perfect : super clean, very cosy and charming house, all equipment for cooking, beds comfy, what else ?
- Harbottle (10/5): Well equipped, very clean, well looked after and the host is fabulous! - The house is absolutely beautiful, incredibly well equipped and the the host was accommodating and friendly. So much attention to detail on every floor and you can tell that Francis takes great pride in his property. We were lucky to have a beautiful weekend where we could sit in the well tending garden and enjoy the sun. The fact that there was seating in every nook and cranny to make the most of where ever the sun happened to be, was amazingly well thought out. Highly Recommend! Honestly can't think of anything. It is well located, well looked after and the host has put a lot of effort into it. We shall be visiting again!
- Carole (9/5): Very enjoyable - comfortable and central. - Excellent facilities, especially the coffee machine. Car access and parking a little tricky at first, but you get used to it.
- Nina (10/5): A lovely hidden gem perfect for exploring the area - The Hideaway was very clean and well equipped for a weekend stay. Francis was a great host and kindly greeted us on arrival. The location was also fantastic for exploring the Purbeck area. Nothing to dislike!
- Tommy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Giorgiana (10/5): This house is one of the most beautiful houses I have stayed in. It is so welcoming and so clean. We were greeted by Fra - Absolutely everything. ❤️ N/A
- Lindsey (10/5): Lovely stay in this beautifully presented and equipped house in an excellent location. - The property details, two parking spaces and location were the reasons we chose the property. It more than lived up to expectations: exceptionally well presented and equipped, suited our needs exactly. The “joining instructions” were really clear and detailed - not called the Hideaway for nothing - but we had no difficulty finding the house. Francis made us feel really welcome and the house details/information pack brilliantly covers all the essentials and loads of local information is also available, along with reading material, games etc. We expected a characterful property and it is. Wareham is a lovely spot and an excellent base to explore this part of Dorset. There are a variety of tea shops/pubs/restaurants/takeaways… There was nothing we could find to dislike!
- Rusi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Philip (8/5): Very good - Location for us was superb, the Townhouse is beautifully decorated and a good size with lots of sleeping areas The stairs are short and steep, the drive was tight as warned although useable. The same drive is uneven and overgrown which when going out at night can mean your shoes get dirty
- Theresa (10/5): A real lovely stay. Would definitely recommend. - The property was well equipped and very comfortable. The location was good too. Easy to walk around the town and easy road access to other beautiful landmarks. The parking was very tight and quite difficult to negotiate with two cars but we managed.
- Venetia (10/5): A wonderful weekend away. - The Hideaway is very special. It was such a welcoming space with amazing attention to detail in everything. We had a wonderful weekend, using The Hideaway as a base to explore the Isle of Purbeck and feel very lucky to have found it, especially as we booked last minute - Francis was incredibly accommodating.
- Sarah (9/5): Amazing (not so little) hideaway in a perfect position to explore and relax. - The house was in a perfect position to pop to the shops, go for something to eat or head out and explore. The house was beautifully decorated and the host, Frank, had thought of everything! There were various teas, coffee, condiments, milk, biscuits and a bottle of Prosecco.
We were five adults staying here and there was plenty of room to sleep and relax. Lovely modern bathrooms with a gorgeous little roof terrace to soak up the sun. Parking was a little hairy as we had quite a big car to reverse up a drive way to get to the parking spot. But this was the only slight negative.
- Carmen (10/5): Wonderful! - All one would need supplied and extras of wine, biscuits and flowers made this stay superb
- Tuesday (10/5): Exceptional - Francis is a great host, really friendly and happy to help with any queries. He let us know the house was ready slightly earlier than expected, so we were able to check in early and make the most of our weekend. We also arrived to a lovely welcome note, a bottle of fizz, some biscuits and fresh flowers which were all nice touches.
The house is beautiful, and was absolutely spotless. Francis had thought of everything, and it really felt like a home away from home. We had no issues at all during our stay (which was nice as we have had issues with other holiday rentals!).
The garden was secure and peaceful(perfect for our dog), and we loved having coffee on the balcony in the morning.
The location is great, close to lots of attractions, beaches, great pubs and restaurants and walks. The house is tucked away but Francis provided really detailed instructions and photos which made finding it straightforward.
We would definitely recommend, and we will be sure to book in next time we are in the area. There was nothing we didn’t like!
- Henry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruth (9/5): Superb -
- John (10/5): Great weekend - Charming and thoughtfully done from the fresh flowers to the fully loaded coffee machine Bit chilly when we arrived, heating's good though!
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): A beautiful house with every convenience and a great central location - A beautiful, spacious house with a gorgeous garden and a large balcony for sunny days. Very tastefully decorated with everything you could want for a home from home. Very central location in pretty Wareham which is itself an ideal base for exploring Dorset. It was great to be able to bring our little dog too! Nothing
