• Melissa (10/5): - Very comfortable stay, beautiful location situated on the foothills of the pathenon, easy walk to shops and sights. As a female travelling alone,I felt very safe in the accommodation and around the village during late evening. Communication with the owner via WhatsApp was very responsive and on hand during my my stay. Inside the accommodation provided everything I needed, it was well presented, spacious, very clean and tidy. A lovely small outside patio area with stairs leading to a good size roof terrace with seating and dining table, with an incredible view overlooking Athens. I would highly recommend a stay here.
• DIMITRIOS (9/5): Cozy, well appointed with unique character. Will definitely stay again. - Well appointed, clean, well maintained. Loved the outdoor sitting area. Good location, within walking distance of main sites. One A/C unit was ok for the bedroom but the rest of the apartment was warm, especially during hot days/nights. Location was good, however, it is important to be aware of the stairs/walk when returning.

• Sorren (9/5): It was just what we were hoping for! A charming place to stay in Athens! - I loved the location because it is so charming. However, with that, it was also very remote and hard to get to (had to walk up and down the hill to get there). I also loved having a small apartment instead of just a hotel room. We loved the rooftop area, it was so beautiful! I'm not going to lie, the alarm system was a bit stressful. Mainly because I do not use one of my own at home so I was not use to having to turn it on and off. Also, we had to walk up and down the hill quite a lot.

• Joanne (10/5): Incredible location, unbelievable private rooftop terrace, cute quiet place - The neighborhood was magical and at night was very quiet. During the day there were always folks visiting the narrow streets and taking pictures thanks to Instagram and it is now on every “must see” in every Athens guide. But the rooftop terrace was the best private quiet view in all of Athens! The location is unbeatable, close to everything good and even some cool grungy areas if you venture beyond the Plaka neighborhood. The Acropolis is literally right behind the apartment and every street leads to someone serving delicious food day or night. Can’t forget to mention all the cats! There are two particularly friendly ones right around the apartment and one even joined us on the terrace for some playtime! Comfy bed, nice bathroom and extra nice having a 2nd toilet and the living room. Washing machine is also a plus. Communication during our stay was a little lacking. The skylights had covers on them so the kitchen and living room were a bit dark and though we asked about how to open them early on, we never got a response. Also, bring a sleep mask to block out the alarm mechanisms on the windows as they blink intermittently during the night. Would like to have had some hangers in the closet. As it was there is no place to hang clothes so we used the couch and chairs to lay our clothes out. Not a deal breaker, just a small inconvenience.

• Anna (10/5): Very nice view from the deck and close proximity to Acropolis - Location in the center of Athen , close to Acropolis, deck with awesome views, property manager was very accomodating , exceptionally located , there was a kitchennete but we have not used it , felt like home Quality of AC - it was very hot and that AC bearly cooled the bedroom. . I probably would reconsidered the location knowing I would have to climb so many stairs to get to center of town and back and repeat again .

• Gordon (9/5): A magical tiny gem below the Acropolis - Location is unbeatable! Beautiful setting and central. Room/living area is a little small, and the interior is a little dark - but made up for by the magical upstairs deck with views over the city
• Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - The location was amazing! It was in such a charming neighborhood and only a few minute walk away from beautiful areas of Plaka. The private roof/terrace was incredible. We woke up to see the sunrise over all of Athens.
• Michelle (10/5): Lovely Anafiotika gem! - What a hidden gem in Anafiotika. We loved having such close proximity to the Acropolis area and Plaka. It was nice having a space larger than a hotel room to spread out. The washing machine was a life saver. We loved having peach cats visit us each morning and evening. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Only one air conditioner for the entire apartment which is located in the master bedroom. The living room would get a little warm but there was a nice fan that helped circulate the air. Overall, or that big of a deal but if you are wanting ice cold air in the living room, it won't happen here.
• Adamandia (10/5): Lovely little home with fantastic views - This is a charming home literally right below the Acropolis. Beautifully designed with a lovely rooftop and spectacular views of Athens. The host, Antonis, is very prompt to respond and an all-around nice guy. Three gentle cats in the yard complete the picture. Memory foam pillows and comfortable mattresses ensure a good night's rest. Lots of steps for those who wish to explore the Anafiotika area. Some steps can be slippery so athletic shoes and caution are necessary.

It felt very safe and secure. For us it was accessible but terrace steps were steep and narrow. Recommend trash cans with covers in the bathrooms for paper.

• Glenn (10/5): A lovely apartment in a beautiful neighborhood, and a perfect location for touring and dining. - The apartment was exactly as pictured in the listing. The living room / sitting area inside was very comfy. I was in Athens in November, so the weather was a bit chilly and rainy. When the weather was nice, I really enjoyed the rooftop patio. The host was always available on WhatsApp when I had a few questions at the beginning of my stay. I would highly recommend using the taxi driver the host recommends. I arrived in the evening, and the apartment would have been somewhat difficult to find. It is located on a pedestrian path, a bit of a walk from where the street ends. Although I would say the entrance does look exactly like the posted pictures, which would help. The taxi driver walked me from the end of the street to the apartment, which I really appreciated. The apartment is located in a wonderful, beautiful neighborhood, Plaka. I greatly enjoyed walking through Plaka to and from the apartment. The location is perfect; nice walks to Acropolis, Syntagma Square, and Monastiraki Square. All in all, it was a wonderful visit to Athens! The apartment is near the top of the hill of the Plaka neighborhood, and it was either a lot of steps or a fairly steep sidewalk to get down into central Athens and then back up. I am 73 years old and in pretty good shape, but I will say the walk up always left me fairly winded. Lots of good exercise!

• Kendal0982 (10/5): The charm of Anafiotika and Villa Artemis, exceeded all our expectations. - The location of this place in the historic Anafiotika neighborhood was our favorite attribute. We knew, given its location, that there might be some stairs & inclines & so packed accordingly. The view from the rooftop terrace was stunning. We spent time on the terrace each afternoon and night enjoying the sounds of the city & the gorgeous view. During the days, we explored the little alleyways in the neighborhood & the incredible views. There has been tremendous care put in to this place. It's well stocked with just the right appliances & provisions, features wonderful artwork & photos, and makes one feel very much at home upon arrival. It's very secure - important for a well-trafficked area - and in addition to the AC unit in the bedroom, has wonderful options for moving cool evening air through the entire unit via fans, skylights, etc. One evening we were graced with the company of one of Anafiotika's many cats who decided he would hang out with us on the rooftop terrace. Proximity to the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, Plaka & Monastiraki Square is perfect - only minutes away on foot.

• Simone (10/5): Perfect few days in the heart of Athens ! - The apartment was adorable and so many little amenities that made the stay really comfortable and enjoyable. We relaxed on the rooftop in the morning, enjoying views of the city before the heat of the day set in. The location was so close to all the attractions we wanted to see but tucked away in a little neighborhood that was quiet and private. The host coordinated with a taxi driver for our pickup arrival from the ferries and drop off to the airport. He made it super easy to get around with little effort! Can’t recommend this place enough !

• Lia (10/5): Staying in this gem was an experience in itself while providing all the comfort one would like. - Amazing cycladic small house renovated and refurbished with beautiful, inspiring and cosy style. It was comfortable and functional that we could fully enjoy including the amazing rooftop, comfy bed, two bathrooms, even the washing machine. Our host was incredibly attentive and helpful. If you are lucky enough to spot this apartment free, book it! It worths it!
