Guest Reviews
- Karen (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay & was perfect for celebrating my Mum’s 80th Birthday - We loved the fact that it was really private, not overlooked, a perfect place to bring my Mum & Dad, it was very well equipped & was warm & cosy, comfortable beds & the garden was ideal for our little dog. It wasn’t a case of not liking as such but we did find the water didn’t drain very well from the shower & because it’s a wet room the floor was left quite wet which could be a slip hazard, I think a large cubicle would possibly be better.
- MICHAEL (9/5): Quiet secluded property very thoughtfully fitted out to a very high spec - Quiet secluded property very thoughtfully fitted out to a very high spec Nothing that detrated from the enjoyment of the property
- Stuart (9/5): - Could be doing with a bigger bed in the master bedroom
- Alan (9/5): Just what ‘the Doctor’ ordered. About to undergo cancer treatment, so our stay in a very comfortable, clean cottage , in - Cosy/clean / idyllic location. Never met Donna but she contacted to ensure we got into the property ok and had everything we needed. No complaints at all
- Carol (2/5): Nice property ruined by uncomfortable beds & wet room. - It was in a very nice location. It was warm and quiet. The lodge had character and comfortable armchairs. The beds were very uncomfortable and we had very little sleep, which we needed after a long journey. We left a day early which meant it was very expensive for 1 night’s stay and we wished that we’d stay elsewhere. We didn’t like the wet room and we were expecting to see a toilet and a shower cubicle in the property so it was an unpleasant surprise.
- Sharon (10/5): - The lodge was lovely and in a peaceful location -

- melanie (10/5): Perfect and peaceful - It was perfect. On this occation it was a central location for a remonissing tour for our 90 year old uncle but i will be booking again to have several days just chilling. nothing. It would have been nice to have a guest book available.
- Jenny (10/5): Spread place. Would definitely go again. Met the owner. Lovely lady - Well located. Peaceful. Immaculate. Nothing internet not great but got resolved and then worked well
- Gail (9/5): -
- Susan (10/5): Just pure heaven, sublime! - Everything, just my cup of tea! There was nothing I could fault at all.
- Elliott (10/5): -
- Richard (9/5): Lovely spot in a good location - Beautiful property in a lovely countryside spot alongside a stream

- Hannah (8/5): Super location for exploring the local area. Peaceful and very comfortable. - We loved the fact the space was private and enclosed as we took a dog with us. There was everything you might need to cook with and the indoor and outdoor spaces were perfect for our requirements. There were four of us therefore we ran out of toilet roll and sourced our own. Some fresh milk and a loaf of bread might have been a nice touch but the instant coffee and UHT milk did the job.
- Mary (10/5): - Very peaceful. Great location.
- Kim (10/5): -
- Lana (8/5): Lovely stay for family of 4 adults , the lodge wasn’t large but plenty big enough for us and our dog , cosy and warm - Remote location
Plenty of parking ( 2 cars )
Outside space safe for dogs
Plenty of crockery / utensils etc
Lovely and warm
Decorated for festive season Uncomfortable seating in living room
- Fiona (8/5): A Little lodge of loveliness .... - Location,Garden,peaceful.Good amenities.
Decorating lovely....gorgeous surroundings...Loved it Sofa small & very slippery!..
Single duvets,not great quality & heavy,lumpy.
No Internet connection to TV - did report
- Monica (9/5): - Lovely lodge. Enjoyed our stay thankyou
- Melanie (8/5): Lovely location very clean and cosy - Very clean and in a lovely position Nothing all was good
- Sheryl (8/5): A wonderful break, lovely accommodation & the perfect location to do nothing or a lot! - Perfectly located to nothing & relax in the glorious peaceful countryside, listening to the babbling beck. No neighbours, no noise, no distractions. Equally, it’s perfectly located for travelling, walking & visiting Skipton, Clitheroe, Malham & other wonderful places. The property is fully equipped, nicely decorated, very comfortable & welcoming. Lots of bird life around the lodge and we saw deer on the brow of the neighbouring field. Communications with Host, from booking to arrival, even checking we arrived safely, was reassuring, but not intrusive. Only small issues & didn’t detract from the overall stay. Problems with the TV & connecting to Wi-Fi, but no drama as didn’t use it a lot & used my phone as a personal hotspot if needed. Shower could do with upgrading as flow is poor.

- Valerie (10/5): A real home-from-home - A lovely self-catering lodge, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Open plan lounge / kitchen/ dining area. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Comfy beds and great night's sleep as the area is so quiet and peaceful. With fencing all around, it's ideal for anyone wanting to bring their dog. Really good location - Skipton is only a 15-minute drive with Pendle Hill, Clitheroe, Preston, and Blackpool, all within easy travelling distance. Would definitely stay again and can highly recommend. Prior to arrival, we were made aware that the internet connection could be intermittent. However, we found it rarely worked at all. There are no shops or pubs within walking distance.
- Claire (9/5): Nearly perfect - The location is wonderful, we felt every much in the middle of the countryside. The lodge is very old fashioned in the decor but that didn’t bother us, it felt very cosy. The owner was easy to contact and provided a really helpful e-brochure with lots of information. The door pin was text to us on the day of check in which was very helpful. The lodge was very clean and has a well equipped kitchen and plenty of bathroom towels. The garden was fantastic for our Cockerpoo, though small dogs could escape through the gate. Some chicken wire on the gate would help with small dogs. The seating in the lounge is not the most comfortable. We did 2 long days of walking and just wanted to fall into a comfortable sofa. It has 2 very upright chairs and one small, hard leather couch. A new more comfortable sofa would really make a difference. I also think a king bed in the double room would be great. The built in wardrobes could be replaced by one small wardrobe in the opposite corner to allow for a bigger , comfier bed.
- Craig (9/5): - Location - Perfect
Host - Great, available and answered any questions we had
Definately stay again
- Sam (9/5): Beautifully appointed cottage. - Beautifully appointed cottage. Everything you may need is available. Lovely decor. Nothing all good
- Jason (10/5): Beautiful lodge and lovely isolated area for a fab break with the dogs. - Everything you could possibly need is supplied in the lodge and sparkling clean WiFi is bad but that really isn’t why you go to a peaceful and remote lodge. The gate isn’t secure for small dogs. Wire mesh on the gate would help with this.
- Joe (10/5): Fantastic! Will definitely be going back as I stayed there to visit family nearby. - Incredible place to stay!! Everything was perfect! It was clean, comfortable, had everything you need with fantastic views with amazing walks around it for my dog. Nothing not to like
- Wayne (9/5): And.... Relax - Location perfect for our trip
Host was in regular contact pre and throughout the trip
Its such a private space, with its own gardens and a little stream (Fenced off) at the bottom
This has everything you need for 4 adults. Having to leave the property, as it was such a great 3 night stay
Wifi wasn't the greatest, but I was there to relax not stream video's
- Katherine (5/5): Well adapted lodge for less able people with a lovely garden to enjoy in nicer weather - Lovely quiet location for a peaceful weekend The host decided to come and trim the hedges whilst we were trying to enjoy the garden and when we messaged through booking.com and the mobile number provided they said they'd ask them to stop. We then had a guy come into the garden and tell us 'you should have just asked me to stop' - maybe they should have thought about guests staying on a sunny weekend and wanting to sit out in the garden which we'd also mentioned when booking.

- Martin (9/5): Enjoyable stay and found the location ideal…. Would recommend and would stay again. . - The lodge is a home from home and is very dog friendly. It sits in a lovely rural location but within short driving distance of places of interest restaurants, shops etc. We had a relaxing 3 days and it had all the facilities including a dishwasher, washing machine microwave, ironing board and a fan which made our stay more enjoyable.
The host kept us well informed prior to and during our visit and were easily contacted when we required any help..

- Molly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Henry (10/5): Home from Home - Loved that it was totally private but with all the amenities you need and nice and secure for our pet dog ,Also loved that you can sit on the decking area outside on nice days . Can't think if any negative comments
- Holly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (9/5): Beautiful property, tranquil location - Host provided information prior to and on the day of arrival with questions answered promptly. Beautiful and tranquil location, enclosed parking and lovely maintained garden area, sun till after 8pm. Clean and tidy facility, with all the necessary amenities. Loved the peaceful setting with just the sheep overlooking the garden area. Coal BBQ located at the side of the property, but not used.
Not far for travel into Skipton and nearby shops only 10 minutes drive away. Would definitely return!! Shower temperamental, wifi not great (which is mentioned in the description) and not a lover of Chesterfield sofa's (personal opinion) for comfort.
Outside decking area a bonus but would have been lovely if it had been a bit bigger, but once again, just a personal opinion as we had to keep moving to chase the sun.
- Geoff (9/5): Superb - Surroundings. Quite. Relaxing
- Przemyslaw (9/5): Superb - Secluded, tranquil place and a perfect gateway to the Dales. Clean, well maintained and equipped, comfy beds, private parking. We loved it. The internet coverage is sketchy but we weren’t expecting any better.
- Samantha (10/5): Brilliant accommodation with everything you could need. Lovely location. Great host. - Private, good location and had everything we needed Shower not great but that’s the only thing which could be improved - everything else great
- Nathan (10/5): Just what we were looking for. A nice quiet spot for us and our 2 dogs. - Nice secluded spot
- La (7/5): Good - Nice quiet and tranquil setting.. Well equipped. Shower not very powerful.
- Chantal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Garlick (3/5): Poor -
- Charly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (9/5): Superb - A lovely lodge with peaceful surroundings. Was nice to have a few days to unwind.
- Ratajczak (10/5): Exceptional - The place was perfect for a peaceful stay with family, it was very nice and comfortable. As a location it's a perfect spot to do some exploring;) not far away from major attractions and walks. There was everything you needed to cook and do some barbecue. It's a dog friendly place which is a bonus for us. Perhaps squidgy for the shower could be as big as a sweeping brush with hook on the wall ;) other than that all was absolutely perfect.
- Donaldson (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (7/5): Tranquil but a little cut off both physically and digitally - The location is very tranquil with ample parking for two cars yet is relatively easy to get to the A59 although still a distance from any amenities. To say the property has WiFi is an overstatement, WiFi is via a 3G hub meaning it's OK for very lightweight web browsing but not much more, moving the hub improves the signal a bit but not enough to make for a good web experience.
