• Marta_aaa (5/5): Bello ma non ottimale - Mi è piaciuta molto la posizione, comoda e a circa 10/15 minuti dal Duomo. Essendo un intero appartamento si aveva la comodità di poter cucinare in casa senza per forza dover sempre uscire. Non mi è piaciuto il fatto che fosse all'ultimo piano senza ascensore (cosa non specificata su Booking) e che il bagno sia stato Ricavato da una sorta di, credo, sgabuzzino: il bidet non è presente e al suo posto c'è un doccino, con il quale si bagna sempre per terra perché non c'è alcuna protezione per il pavimento.
• Nadine (6/5): - The apartment has a very central location, which made it easy to get around and explore the area. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed during our stay. The Wi-Fi also worked reliably. The shower was nice and spacious. There was serious mold in the toilet and around one of the windows, which was quite unpleasant and it looked like a health hazard. The check-in was not possible at first because the apartment had not been cleaned yet, later it was informed that it was because of a accident. The toilet itself was also very small and it was not possible to open the toilet window.

• Dora (7/5): - Good location and price, traditional old building, fine in general The wall in the toilet was moldy, the kitchen was not fully equipped (no dishwasher soap, no scissors), wifi was fine but can be connected in a different way as described, staff came in to make the bed when we were already there, heating only with air-conditioning

• Alisdair (8/5): If ok with stairs and smaller spaces like toilet room, can be a great option in very good central area. - It was very central next to the central market. No car needed but lots of walking and stairs. It was on the 4th floor with no elevator. Smallish doors and stairway. The toilet room was very tiny my shoulders almost hit side to side and front wall was right in front. If you are ok with stairs and small areas, this is a very good place. Bed was very good, had a loft area and a sleep sofa. Kitchen worked very well. The shower was a little tricky.

• Mel (9/5): Great stay in the center of Florence - Great location. Walking distance to everything in the center of Florence. Kitchen had everything needed. Beds were comfortable. Wifi was working well. We would be happy to come back! The toilet is very small. Not a massive issue, but could be difficult for someone on the bigger side. The space for the table is a bit small for 4 people to eat: we manage but because we were 2 adults and 2 kids. It would be hard for 4 adults. The appartement is on the top floor with no elevator, which could be difficult for some people, but it gives you a great view on the bells of the basilica di San Lorenzo!
• Karen (3/5): Cannot recommend, and in fact... Stay away! - Location near mercato centrale, walkability to santa maria novela station. But then again, pretty much anything in Florence is walkable. Shower pressure good. Out of our 9 stays in our family Europe tour for summer 2025, we did not enjoy Florence the most, and a lot had to do with our subpar but expensive accommodations at this Gomitolo apartment. Staying here was like "roughing it". Used up half a bottle of mosquito spray. We were always sweating and the weak and temperamental AC was not sufficient for June weather in Florence. Requested for 2 fans for 2 separate sleeping areas and we were brought 1 only, that wasn't also working. We had to prove and was asked to send a video to them to show that the fan they brought was a dud so we could wait some more for them to bring a replacement instead of enjoying our limited vacay time exploring Florence outside. It is very tough to talk to the staff and so after we got our 1 lonely fan despite there being 2 different sleeping areas, we just decided to haul the heavy floor mattress to join up where the sofa bed and AC was so we can blow our 1 fan into all of us. We were tiptoeing and climbing bed corners to move around during our stay, but that was easier than making any further requests from staff like a 2nd fan. Also, I think staff needs to stay and try out the place themselves so they can better anticipate what their guests could need during their visit: enough lighting everywhere so we don't need to be moving lamps or chasing light, mirrors, hooks to hang your clothes and towels instead of balancing them all on the corner of the small sink, improve the 1 bedroom with its bed on the floor (and nothing else!), bare walls, dim lights. Forget the upstairs loft in the pictures. That space did not have any bed and was not usable. The checkin pictures are also misleading and caused major inconvenience plus an unpleasant run-in with a junkie downstairs who yelled at us. For checkin instructions, they used a picture of the nice downstairs vino place, when it was totally away and unrelated to the correct entrance door you need to look for!

• David (8/5): Great location and responsive hosts. - Location was excellent, close to the central market for good food and short walks to many of the main attractions. One wouldn't have thought you were right in the centre of Florence. The hosts were responsive to queries and came round to fix a problem. Not a problem for us but those with mobility issues might have found the six flights of stairs a difficulty and this should be mentioned when booking along with the fact that larger people might have issues accessing the toilet!
• Megan (7/5): Good - Location was good, everything we needed in the kitchen was provided. Plenty of towels and great water pressure. The toilet is so tiny and something was leaking water around it. Would have been good to know prior that there are 8 flights of stairs with no elevator. Mosquitos and bites even though it's winter.
• Lyndon (8/5): Hidden gem in Florence - Located right in the heart of Florence, a fantastic location and well suited to a family Enjoyed the convenience of a washing machine during our stay. Loft area for a bed was a unique and much enjoyed area for our daughter. Overall very happy with our stay atvthis location. Bathroom and toilet areas very small. Walls needed to be cleaned to remove squashed mosquito's from previous visitors, particularly in main bedroom area.

• Katia (7/5): Good - The location was amazing! The couch was dirty (I know it is not easy to change a couch but maybe a cover up would make a difference). Also the price is high so I would expect some amenities like an iron.
• Iván (1/5): OK - Amazing location. The apartment is nice, relatively clean and big. I recommend it either for long and short periods (only for young persons without any disability, see comments below). Good quality/value (ca. 37 EUROS/night.person total). The given instructions are clear for autonomous entrance. The apartment was freezing when we arrived; I suggest turning on the heating for previous guests' arrivals. There was no oil nor salt, I suggest always having these at the apartment. The apartment was on the 4th floor, without an elevator, the stairs in a significantly deteriorated condition. The toilet is placed on a very small corner. If there are no emergencies, of any kind, there will be no problem with this apartment. In fact, I forgot a smartwatch, called immediately (just minutes after check out) no receiving any reply, requiring me to write an email. The answer arrived the next day saying that there was no watch... I hope the host did not reply to me through my smartwatch... This is inconvenient that may be in a hotel (spending more or less the same price), one might not suffer (as professionals administrate it).
• Marija (3/5): Poor - The only good thing was the location. It's literally A1 min walk from the Duomo. The furniture was old and ruined. The sofa looks like someone killed an animal on in, so does the carpet. There is no privacy in the apartment, there are some kind of weird holes and windows between the rooms, including the bathroom. Not a single door in the apartment, so if the person sleeping in the single bed would like to go in the bathroom, it has to go through the bedroom of the couple.... The kitchen was new but there wasn't a single thing in it, not even salt. We had some issues with paying the city tax, which was mentioned after the booking and the host was not helpful at all, even though the issue was due to a non working functionality on their website.

• Luis (3/5): No flexible with times - Amazing place and location Lack of flexibility for check in, with very late time and extremely early check out. Lots of stairs. Not recommended for older people.
