Guest Reviews
- Amy-Louise (10/5): -
- Snaddi (8/5): Cosy and quirky - Coziness of the place. Clean and tidy. Beds were comfy. Great location. Well set up for our family needs. Nice garden but too cold for us to use. Only one log of firewood was left in basket. It would have been nice to have been able to have a fire. The shower over the bathtub is not ideal as shower head not over centre of bath and the curtain sticks to you as you try to shower.
- Sam (8/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our time there - It was warm and inviting and very close to the town we were able to leave the car parked and not worry about having to driver anywhere We were unable to open the park door to go into the garden which was a shame
- John (4/5): Shame - Location was great Stairs were really steep and dangerous for one of our group...no storage for clothes hardly ...not enough comfy seats for 6 adults ...double beds small other than one and hardly any room in one of the bedrooms...such a shame as our weekend was ruined by some of these issues

- Manuel (9/5): Lovely cottage in a great location - Really nice place very well located, mere minutes walk to High Street restaurants and shops. Kitchen well stocked, comfortable beds, lovely backyard.

- Mikaela Pui Yee (7/5): - Location was very good Furniture was quite old as upholstered items were extremely used and dipped in a lot.
- Leslie (9/5): An excellent place for a quiet break - The location and ease of access was excellent.
Whilst adjacent to the centre is was quite and cosy with no traffic noise.
A safe retreat for a lovely break
It had everything we wanted and a lovely garden to boot. You need to know about the stairs but that's not a downside
- Amber (10/5): Beautiful cottage made for a lovely base in the Cotswolds - Gorgeous cottage, super cute and close to everything you needed. Beautiful garden - seating outside the back door or at the top it was so nice. Very peaceful cosy cottage! Nothing to dislike!

- masters (10/5): We loved this original cottage - It’s charming homely feeling Nothing
- Jane (8/5): Very good -
- Elaine (10/5): Brilliant break - would return. - It was a cosy cottage!
- Diane (8/5): Loved it, walkability to shops, restaurants and bus line was perfect - Completely charming in a great location, comfortable beds The steep stairs might be a hazard to some, just pay attention. The door to the first bedroom doesn’t close
- Louise (9/5): Quaint and cosy Cotswold stay - Quaint and cosy, great position easy walking distance to the shops and pubs. We couldn’t work out how to get the washer dryer to dry our clothes, but we’re able to dry them on the airier provided.
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Lorrain (8/5): Nice cosy cottage in a great location - Location is brilliant, cottage had everything we needed, it was really cosy and warm even at -4 and the communication with the host was great. Beds were really uncomfortable and rattling every time you turn over. Not enough soft seating in the living area for 6 adults and 2 out of the 6 has to sit at the dining table. Shower curtain was mouldy in the main bathroom and the shape of it made it impossible not to touch it whilst showering.
- Tess (9/5): Quirky little cottage in great location - Lovely cosy, quirky cottage.
Well equipped.
Comfortable beds.
Easy check-in.
Good communication with host.
Great, quiet location. Thick dust in top floor bedroom where furniture had not been moved by cleaners, but this did not spoil our stay.
- Joanne (10/5): Beautiful rustic cosy cottage - Location is excellent and parking readily available. The cottage is beautifully rustic with original features and very cosy. The only real con is the original steep stairs which are hard enough to manoeuvre for an able bodied person but not enough to ruin a great stay.
- Georgia (8/5): Great cottage in a great location. - Great location, within easy walking distance of shops and eateries. Lovely small garden, well maintained with a good seating area when the weather's better. Very comfy beds ensured a good night's sleep. It would have been nice to have had more comfy seating in the lounge area. More cutlery and big plates would have been useful.
- Nicola (10/5): Very lucky to have found such a lovely property. - Cosy, warm and well equipped. Nothing
- Deborah (8/5): A lovely few days stay with good friends . - The location was excellent, easy to walk into town. Beds were very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. The garden looked amazing but weather kept us indoors😕 Appreciate that it’s an old property with lovely character but felt that it definitely needs a proper wooden stair rail. Several screws on rope banister were broken which could lead to some people finding it hard to climb stairs. I know that in description it states that it is unsuitable for people with mobility issues but feel it could be dangerous for all ages including children.
Bedroom windows had large gaps so rooms were always well ventilated.

- Marie (1/5): Do not go. I have used this site for years and never had an experience like this. We were offered £100 back. Not good en - Lovely on the face of things. But worst stay ever. Absolutely terrible lack of care from owner re the fridge situation. We realised very soon after arriving that the fridge freezer was not working, we reported immediately and even after being told “we will send a smaller fridge/a new one is due to be delivered the next day” All lies. We got a second hand small fridge delivered the night before we left. Four days with no fridge - made worse by the fact I told the owner one of us had a stomach bug and the other of our party of 3 friends since childhood has terminal cancer - with her bowels being in a terrible state- this was/is our last trip together and a dream for her to visit the Cotswolds as she can’t travel abroad, so having fresh safe food was paramount. We had to throw out all the food we had brought at great cost and had to buy fresh supplies like milk twice daily. Awful service. It was alleged a new freezer was going to be delivered on the 3rd day and they actually said we have giving the delivery driver the key code to the home! We had to take all our belongings worth anything with us as some random people would be entering our accommodation. Would not recommend.
- Fiona (9/5): Superb - Beautiful cottage in a lovely location Stairs are very steep and so would be difficult for those with limited mobility.
- Vanessa (10/5): Cosy retreat, great for friends and family. Perfect location for exploring the Cotswolds. - Lovely period cottage in fab location. We loved the personal touches and rooms. Garden and barbecue were also a bonus. Easy to park outside.
- Rakarules (10/5): Exceptional - Julie is a courteous host. She looked after us really well. Hats off to you! Great property. All points are thought for by you. You took care of everything. Thanks again. Looking forward to our next visit! Everything is on point.
- Karla (8/5): Very good -
- Kevin (10/5): Overall, superb . Would defo stay again - Open fire , well equipped kitchen , lovely bedroom on top floor with great en suite Linen bags not collected from previous occupier . Maybe a warning for the kitchen entrance as hit our heads several times on it .
- Donna (9/5): We had a lovely time and will most definitely return soon. - A lovely cottage in a fabulous location, we will return. Ideally an outdoor light would have been useful in the garden to use when letting our dog outside.
