Guest Reviews
- Anastasia (1/5): Bad - The property sent an automated cancellation message after taking payment, only to leave you in a week-long loop of refund requests through the system
- Stevenson (1/5): Pretty sure it's a scam - Nothing we didn't get to stay Cancelled night before traveling but refused to cancel actual booking we had to go threw booking for an investigation and book emergency accommodations ourself booking was incredible and offered to help and launched an investigation this was the weekend before Christmas so it was very lucky we got accommodations elsewhere
- Claire (1/5): Didn’t even stay as they cancelled. - Didn’t even make it to the property as they cancelled 2 hours before we arrived and on our way travelling up. From reading reviews (wish I had before booking) this seems to be a recurring theme. The fact I didn’t stay in it.
- Charlotte (1/5): DO NOT BOOK THIS NIGHTMARE OF AN APARTMENT! - Nothing! Our experience with this apartment was nothing short of a disaster. The listing on Booking.com looked great—nice photos, but beware: it’s a bait and switch! Two weeks before our stay, the host messaged saying the apartment would need to be relocated due to "construction." Fine, we agreed, thinking it was an isolated issue. We arrived on check-in day, struggled to get in touch with the host for key instructions, and waited around until 4 PM (an hour after we were supposed to check in) only to get another message that the location had changed AGAIN!
After wasting time and dragging our luggage across town, we finally arrived at the initial apartment. The moment we stepped in, we were greeted by an overpowering stench of weed, stuffy air, and cigarettes. It was clear that whoever stayed before us had only just left. The place looked like a complete trash heap: dirty, used towels scattered all over the floor, yellow wet patches on the bed and linens, dirty dishes in the sink, empty shopping bags littered around, and even someone’s old socks behind doors. The entire apartment smelled and felt disgusting.
We tried to call the host immediately, but of course, they ignored our calls and only texted back claiming that “the cleaner had been there.” Really? Either that’s a blatant lie or they need a new cleaner. The best solution they offered was to send cleaners the next day—as if we should just sit in filth and wait for them to show up!
Having just come off a long flight, exhausted and unfamiliar with the area, and having spent 650 USD for the stay, there was no way we could stay in this pigsty. When we asked for a refund, the host went radio silent. Booking.com tried to contact them too,no luck. We’ve been left without a refund, cheated out of our money, and treated with complete disrespect.
Avoid this listing at all costs. The host is unreliable, unprofessional, and clearly has no problem ripping off guests. Save yourself the horror and stay somewhere else!
- Nancy (8/5): Great place to stay in Grassmarket - Incredible location. So close to many shops, restaurants, and sights. We were provided with plenty of towels and toiletries. It can get hot. I wish there had been A/C, but even a couple of floor fans would have been nice. We had to keep the windows open when we were there during the day.
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Mercedes (1/5): Worst - Location No information written in the room on what to do. you have to find it by your self. Location of there towels, wifi, heater .
