- Samantha (10/5): Wow what a find! An amazing little property in a location that was perfect for us. It’s quaint, tastefully done. The vie - Beautiful property… lovely and clean! One of the cleanest we have stayed in!
- Frank (10/5): - The studio had everything we needed. The peace and quiet was really welcome, and the views across the valley were wonderful. We had never heard of The Bridestones - a fabulous rock formation - and they were just along the road. That was an unexpected bonus. Emma was very responsive to queries. We met her briefly as we left, and she was a real delight.
- Sofía (10/5): - Lovely little gem in the middle of nowhere, perfect for the weekend away I was looking for.
A walking distance from Bridestones and with lovely views.
- Leanne (7/5): Rural haven - Amazing views in a wonderful, rural location (but just a 10min drive from Todmorden). Very cosy little studio - perfect for one person. Nice warm shower. Super comfy bed. It was a bit cold (fan heater didn’t do much and heating was only on a couple of hours in the morning and evening). On the last night, it was really windy and the sign outside creaked and clunked really loudly all night.

- Josephine (10/5): Amazing little treasure of a place with panoramic views. Highly recommended! -
- Marina (10/5): The views and the comfy bed! - Stunning view and lovely comfortable little place to stay ☺️

- Elm (10/5): - Simplicity Needed more in the event of wet hiking clothing. But we managed and were resourceful!
- Sambell (8/5): Lovely self contained studio with fantastic views - The studio was very clean and well equipped. The views were to die for! Door to en-suite shower room has a large gap at the bottom which affects privacy. There's probably a reason for this, but not ideal.
- Mark (9/5): Most enjoyable and relaxing stay in a beautiful part of England - superb views in a very relaxing & stress free location. A very comfy, clean studio - with all the facilities required for a 2 night stay away from home N/A
- Annette (10/5): Exceptional - The location was amazing and exactly what we needed for a mini 24hr break. Just loved it.
Emma was lovely, directions perfect and views incredible!
picture is morning brew at 8am it's not something we didn't like but it's worth knowing it's quaint and compact. We loved it!
- Taylor (10/5): Peaceful, beautiful night away, just what we needed! - everything! Absolutely beautiful property with the most unreal views! loved it all
- Debbie (10/5): Outstanding beauty, little cosy gem well worth a visit! - The property has amazing views and is close to beautiful walks. The star gazing is amazing!
The property offers much more than you could imagine with every last detail considered. Great private check-in extremely special experience best place to relax, enjoy nature and feel like your at the end of the earth so quiet only bird song to hear for miles around. The sunrise and sunset are something else. Emma has thought about every little detail fantastic eco cleaning products, toiletries, kitchen equipment and cooking facilities. Fresh milk and real coffee provided much more than any other self catering, plenty of wood provided for the fire pit, it even has an outdoor pizza oven. I would recommend this place to anyone that loves nature, views and comfortable surroundings. Really good information booklet with advice on dining out which was handy. We will be back, as soon as possible. Well done Emma and family great find for us. Couldn’t be improved in my opinion thank-you for a great stay. The entrance is a little bumpy due to it being a working farm but to be fair not too much of a problem if you drive slow but this would be my only negative of the whole trip.
- Anne-marie (8/5): High up on the moor - Quiet secluded location
Dog friendly
Big modern french windows with good views from sofa and dining table and bed!
Access not as bad as expected
Comfortable bed
Cosy compact clean and warm studio
Very good helpful communication Shower was hot and powerful enough but I don't think it's a good idea to have a wooden cubicle
Same for around the kitchenette sink
- Lizzie (8/5): Peace and solitude - The location was wonderful N.A
- Feeney (8/5): Very good - Brilliant views and compact but cosy room. Nothing to report!
- Paula (10/5): Lovely night away in a cosy cottage - That it was away from everything and the views are amazing Nothing
- Josh (10/5): A breathtaking view - The view was spectacular. And in a nice cosy place. It's a bit cut off from the town, being at the top of a steep hill amongst windy and narrow roads. But we still managed to get around easily enough and it was worth it for the breathtaking scenery.
- Jonpaul (9/5): Loved location and studio and would stay there again - Loved location and scenery. Cosy studio with everything needed in there. Comfy bed. I enjoyed steep walk up and down the hill but coming back up in taxi later that night was problematic for driver due to pot holes in road
- Ellie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Calum (10/5): Great place to stay - It's a beautiful location, next to so many networks for walking (bridleways) so perfect for having a dog. Very cute wee property, cosy, everything I needed to be self contained. Close enough to Todmorden and Hebden Bridge. I was late arriving my 1st night and found Emma to be very patient with me and accommodating.
- Kelly (9/5): Perfect cosy cottage with amazing views, great location for Todmorden and surrounding areas. - The views are stunning, great communication, clear instructions, they even offered home cooked pizza for dinner! Only one small improvement would be the kitchen tap needs to be lower so it doesn’t splash you and go up your sleeves when washing up!! But easily fixed.
- Giovanna (9/5): We had a lovely stay. Recommended. - Fantastic spot and cosy studio. A small space very well organised. Comfortable bed, good cooking facilities, good pluming.
- Evan (8/5): Comfortable from start to finish. - View, bed, kitchen Sofa could be more cosy.
- Watts (10/5): Absolutely perfect. Couldn’t ask for any more - Perfect location, beautiful views, very well equipped. Quirky and quaint and quiet. No faults at all
- Kirsten (8/5): I love this area of Yorkshire and the Studio is in a lovely spot. Great to get away from it all and - The property feels remote although only 2 miles from Todmorden. Lots of lovely walks from the doorstep, weather permitting. Studio was very clean with everything you need. Eco cleaning products. Bed was amazingly comfortable. Lighting in the studio made it feel very cosy on a stormy night, very warm too. Would love to sit out with a fire in the fire pit. It was wet and foggy during my stay which can happen!
Road to town is steep and single track which I found challenging particularly because of the weather, but not a deal breaker.
- Diane (10/5): Cosy, clean hideaway cottage, with a fabulous view! - Fantastic view. A cosy little hideaway. A blind for the bathroom window facing into the kitchen would be a useful addition.
- Katie (9/5): Stunning views and a perfect place to stay for my needs - Stunning views and a perfect place to stay for my needs
- Michelle (10/5): Fabulous - Everything .
Its beautiful and cosy, fab views x
Away from the rest of the world.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed for one night in September. It was spotless and cosy with a really comfortable bed. We ordered 2 pizzas from the host which were delicious and reasonably priced. The weather wasn't on our side but would love to stay again and enjoy a fire outside looking out to the beautiful scenery. Nothing.
- Klaus-georg (10/5): Very friendly + helpful hosts. Lovely views out over the moors. Very clean and cozy. Recommended. -
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marcin (10/5): Exceptional - Aside from the friendliness of the owner, Emma and the cleanliness and overall excellent quality of the accomodation and facilities... the view is worth every penny!!! Whether relaxing on the sofa with a glass of your favourite tipple, sat at the dining table snaffling down a bbq freshly cooked on the patio or sipping a lazy morning coffee in bed, you can't help but be in awe of the gorgeous landscape in all it's wild glory! Whilst the accomodation description suggests the driveway access to the property is best avoided in low slung vehicles, I think the description could be more accurate in its detail. We drove in a Ford Focus, which I wouldn't expect as being classed as low slung, but a standard car height from the ground, and in the wet especially it was impossible to clear the drive without scraping the undercarriage on at least 3 occasions (twice on the drive, over concrete guttering and once on the junction on/ off the main access road). The potholes weren't so much as issue as they can be avoided.
- Julie (10/5): Wild moorland, great view, warm and cosy. - Stunning view. Very helpful host. Super clean. Very comfortable bed.
- Aslanova (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was amazing. The host was very friendly, helpful, and communicative. I couldn't ask for anything more, just amazing. I liked everything.
- Saphron (10/5): Gorgeous, thank you x - Cost, clean and private
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional - Location
- Gaskell (10/5): Perfect property, facilties and location - Everything
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Toby (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely lovely stay at The Studio on Friday. The place is immaculate and absolutely lovely. I could stay there all year. Immense views, great hosts, friendly dog next door – what more could you ask for? Nothing to fault on – keep doing what you're doing!
- Carol (8/5): My grandson wants to return! - Excellent location with regard to view and peace and quiet. Good for us because we like walking. The approach has a sloping farm road so anyone with a car needs to check it’s not too low…or go steady. I know and love the area. Had great walks over the opposite side of the valley, up Stoodley Pike.
Local bus from Todmorden back to Hebden Bridge is useful as is Hebden to Blackshaw Head. However, any walkers need to look carefully at the map when planning. If you have a car there are so many excellent places to visit….in a ride and then walk plan. There is the potential for a fire or bbq…although we didn’t have chance but this must always be done sensibly because of breezes, location etc. It didn’t bother us but for anyone planning to prepare a huge meal, the facilities don’t allow it. It’s possible to do basics and microwave…that’s fine. Dine in town for flexibility in the evening.
- Alison (8/5): Cosy, snug, lovely eco friendly toiletries, stunning views - Fantastic location- wonderful for walkers, with superb views
- Carole (9/5): Loved it! - Very cosy with lovely facilities like nice toiletries and a lovely duvet. Emma was a perfect host, offering us lifts and the ability to purchase cooked meals. It was rather remote but we knew that upon booking. We booked last minute so there was nothing else available in the area.
- Fiona (10/5): An idyllic spot in good weather. - Outstanding views.
Compact but well equipped studio. Driveway a bit tricky but advert states this.
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jill (8/5): Absolutely lovely property with stunning views - The property was so cosy, with beautiful views of the hills. Very comfortable bed and everything you’d need to hand, fridge, microwave, and a hob all at the property.
Communication was great Access was a bit of a problem, dirt track leading down to it was had lots of potholes so beware if you have a low level car. Taxis would only drop us at the top of the road leaving us to walk the long dirt track at night time. Though the owners did leave us a torch in the property which was invaluable as it would have been pitch black without it.
Getting upto the property was hair raising too the roads are very narrow with some very bad corners.
- Eugene (7/5): Good -
- Brts (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was spot on, we'd definitely stay again
