• Cassandre (10/5): Animaux sauvages, générosité et festins ! - Super séjour chez Margarida et son équipe ! Le transfert jusqu’à la Pousada était très bien organisé et nous avons été très bien accueillis. Nous avons passé la majorité du temps avec Wellington qui nous a accompagné pour les journées complètes sur la rivière à la recherche du jaguar ou à la pêche aux piranhas et dourado ! Les repas sont excellents et en quantité. Nous avons eu le sentiment d’être comme à la maison, et nous espérons y revenir ! Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés.
• aliette (10/5): Je recommande sans hésiter les yeux fermés ! - Accueil incroyable, Margarida est vraiment au petit soin, nous avons été accueillies comme des reines. Les chambres sont très confortables, les repas absolument délicieux, gâteau sorti du four au petit dej ! Visites du Pantanal avec notre guide Wellington qui a réussit a trouver un jaguar en cette période de pluie. Tout était parfait

• Dina (10/5): - We had an unforgettable stay on the Barco Casso in the Pantanal. Our wonderful host, Margarita, cooked incredibly delicious meals, every day felt special. The captains were attentive, everything was organized to the highest standard, and we saw many jaguars even in November. A perfect experience from start to finish. Highly recommended! There is a transfer of 3 hrs by river from Porto Cercado to the Barco and back for extra cost, but it's an additional excursion. None

• Manuel (7/5): - Ich bin etwas zwiegespalten. Die Natur ist ein absolutes Highlight!!! Die Region muss man besuchen! Die Unterkunft ist absolut ausreichend da man den gesamten Tag draußen verbringt. Des Prei-Leistungs Verhältnis ist das beste welches ich in der Region gefunden habe. Es wird versucht einem immer mehr Geld aus den Rippen zu leihen. Mann muss diverse Extras im voraus zu buchen. Die Preise die man erhält sind von Reisenden zu Reisenden unterschiedlich. Wenn mann nicht noch mehr Extras kaufen möchte ist die Stimmung wesentlich schlechter als zu Besuchern die allesmöglixhe extra kaufen. Kommunikation ist sehr schwierig da sich die Besitzer (gefühlt) nicht untereinander absprechen und man unterschiedliche Auskünfte erhält. Englisch wird nicht gesprochen, bei den Touren erhält man keine Informationen.
• Ute (10/5): - Die großen und kleinen Touren waren toll und wir konnten sie spontan buchen. 2 Jaguare haben wir bei der Tagestour gesehen! Es gibt auch geführte Wanderungen hinter dem Grundstück und als wir dort waren haben wir uns gern im Schatten der großen Bäume und in der Hängematte auf dem Grundstück ausgeruht. Die 2-stündige Fahrt zum Hausboot war bereits ein Erlebnis. Wir haben uns willkommen gefühlt und Margarida und die Angestellten konnten uns irgendwie unsere Wünsche von den Augen ablesen. Die Verpflegung war hervorragend. Nachts war es schön ruhig ohne Hundegebell oder sonstiges. --
• MARCO (10/5): Esperienza autentica - Margarida e Francisco sono persone gentili e attente; il Barco è la scelta migliore per un safari nel Pantanal sul fiume. Vedrete migliaia di caimani, uccelli e con il tour dei giaguari non c’è dubbio che farete delle ottime foto. Quella presso di loro è un’esperienza autentica e in contatto con la comunità locale. A chi viaggia privilegiando l’esperienza all’inutile lusso, il Barco lascerà pienamente soddisfatto. Dopo un giorno tutto il personale locale mi chiamava già per nome; qui non sei un numero o uno dei tanti turisti di passaggio. Auguro ogni bene a Francisco e Margarida. Menzione speciale per la caipirinha offerta in brocche tutte le sere e il cibo di Margarida. Muito Obrigado 💚 //
• Aurélien (10/5): - Tout le monde était très accueillant, les repas étaient excellents et ce lieu est loin du tourisme de masse de la Transpantaneira. Les excursions étaient aussi de grande qualité, on a pu voir une faune incroyable avec notamment des jaguars. Je recommande.

• Elza (9/5): Unique, immersive experience of the Pantanal - So many things! Most of all I loved waking up to the singing of a thousand birds and the distant haunting roar of the howler monkeys every morning. The amazing guiding skills of Alessandro at the time was second to none. I had a beautifully, exclusive day out looking for jaguars with huge success. And then of course the hosts, Francisco and Margarita, and the property itself. If you define luxury as a unique and immersive experience, this is it. While the accommodations are basic, the cleanliness, attention to detail and immense hospitality in every effort to make you comfortable and happy, is something you won't find anywhere else. More food than you can ever imagine, privacy when you need it, and then their effort to make sure you see every interesting animal or bird that shows up on any corner of their farm. I cannot wait to go again. Mosquitoes! But it comes with the territory. Remember to bring good bugspray.

Nous avons découvert les magnifiques oiseaux et animaux du Pantanal grâce à notre guide expérimenté. On recommande cette période de l année pour la découverte de la région et des animaux.
• Laurence (10/5): Fantastisch, uniek, midden in de natuur, prachtige uitbaters, heerlijk eten. Grote aanrader! - Als je op zoek bent naar een unieke plaats om te verblijven in de Pantanal midden in de natuur, dan ben je hier aan het juiste adres. Weg van alle toeristen midden in de pracht van de natuur. Margarida zorgde dat we ons thuis voelden en was zo gastvrij. Ze maakte elke dag super lekker eten klaar met dessert. Elke avond stond er caipirinha klaar na een dagje op het water. Je zit er ook op een ideale plaats om veel dieren te spotten. Enkele dieren die we tijdens onze drie dagen gezien hebben: stekelvarken (in de boom aan het verblijf), 4 jaguars (waaronder een welpje), reuzenotters, tuiuiu (gigantische vogels), apen, heel veel soorten vogels, heel veel kaaimannen… Ook nog een speciale vermelding voor onze fantastische gids Adillo die ons naar heel wat prachtige plaatsen bracht. Hij toonde ook zelf zijn huis waar hij met zijn familie woont. Fijn om te zien dat bij dit verblijf echt lieve lokale mensen dit uitbaten. Wij missen het nu al! Het is geen luxe hotel. Dus voor mensen die graag een zwembad hebben en een eigen badkamer, dan is dit minder voor jullie. Naar de Pantanal kom je nu ook wel niet om te zwemmen in een zwembad. Wij vonden dit net fijner om authentieker te slapen.
• Richard (9/5): Perfect base for wildlife watching in the Pantanal - This was a great place to base ourselves to see the amazing wildlife of the Pantanal. We saw everything we could have hoped to and more; jaguar, hyacinth macaws, capybara, caiman, dear, giant otters, and an unbelievable number of birds. All the time we were fantastically looked after by Francisco, Margarida, Alessandro and their team. The houseboat is cozy but has everything you need. Margarida’s food is plentiful and delicious. We loved the urn of caipirinha that she presented us with every evening - and the beautiful settings for meals. It’s a leap of faith deciding to stay somewhere you don’t know on the side of a river, but all four members of our family loved it. You can correspond with Francisco in advance about arrangements and prices for transfer from Cuiaba/Pocone (40 minutes drive from Pocone to Port Cercado and circa 2.5 hours fast boat to the Houseboat), and about the day tours along the river when you're there. One final tip - bring plenty of warm layers for the speedboat trips - it can get very chilly depending on the weather. Nothing
• Kamila (10/5): Exceptional - To sleep in the boat in the middle of the Pantanal was amazing. We loved this place and we can recommend it. You MUST stay here more than 3 days to see everything - birds, snakes, jaguars and yes - people - and special thanks to Margarita who is excellent cooker and we had the best breakfasts and dinners there (Caipirinhas ♥♥♥) and to Adilio too because he is the best guid, he knows a lot of about nature and he is able to find Jaguars when it is not possible (April 20%) many thanks!!!
• Zhengyu (1/5): a dishonest hostel - none,this is an absolute dishonest hostel!very very bad and disappointed.🤮 This is a completely tutored scamma hostel, there is not any instructions in the scheduled provisions on booking in advance. We have paid all room rates when reserved on app. we contacted the wife of the boss before arriving, but I was told by her that we need pay an additional amount of 800 Reals car fee, 1250 reals for shipping fee(totally.2050reals) then we can reach her boat house to check in. Otherwise we can't arrive to stay. (However, we actually took a taxi to only cost 300 reals), and it is clear that this hotel is smashing prices. Besides, she told us that if only one day reservation, I can't participate in any activities, and if I want to participate in the Jaguar Observer, I need to pay 2500 Real's fees. If I need lunch, I need 80 Real cost per person.We repeatedly contacted her to her, she did not solve the problem every time, only inform that her husband needs surgery and did not reply. Therefore, ultimately we would rather lose the nearly 500 Reals fees for reservation that have been paid, we are really not willing to go to it. We value and friendly in advance with the boss wife(the only one person can contact from the hostel), but she refused to communicate or solve the problem, maybe this hostel really cares about the prepaid fees, then we just give them as a gift!

• Ahmad (10/5): Royal treatment - Margarida and Francisco are great human beings, very sweet and welcoming. Margarida treated me like a king with incredible food and caipirinha. Francisco's love for nature is contagious, he taught me so much!! It's impressive how this boat is equipped! They have everything you need, super fast wifi, all kind of food, all this on a (large) boat in the middle of the Pantanal. Nothing, but just keep in mind that the pousada is accessible only by the river (2 hours by boat from porto cercado) and it's not included so ask for the price beforehand if you are on a budget.
• Nick (10/5): Cannot recommend highly enough! - A truly remarkable experience staying in the heart of the Pantanal region, surrounded by the sights and sounds of local nature. Francisco and Margarida went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was personalized and pleasant. I learned so much about the region and its flora and fauna, as well as lots about cooking the local produce and dishes! We saw 4 jaguars on our trip as well as countless other wildlife. I will be back!

• Jason (10/5): Best value, best experience in the Pantanal. Do it !! - We loved staying here. We were Immersed into Francisco and Margaridas world. They usually have only 2 to 6 guests so it's just you joining their world. Fly into Cuiaba airport, hire a car or arrange a lift to a hotel in Pocone and stay overnight. Then drive to Porto Cansada where you will be picked up in Francisco's super comfortable speed boat. You then go 70kms up river to the stationary houseboat. Bring a jacket as it can be hot and cold on the speedboat. From the houseboat, you do any number of different speed boat trips with nature experts. Some appear expensive but this is the best value Pantanal adventure period. Margaridas food is always excellent. Great for families and couples. Starlink wifi 120mbps, pay with cards or Wise in seconds. Catch piranha off the boat, see Jaguars ( as we did ), iguana, capybara, giant otters from the speedboat with no-one around. It's magical. They are very interesting people with rich histories. Go and join their world as a first priority in the Pantanal. Cannot think of anything to criticise.
• Ling (10/5): Unbelievable experience, very special way to experience the Pantanal. We will never forget this! - Totally exceeded our expectations! Hosts Francisco and Margarida made our trip memorable for a lifetime. Margarida's amazing meals made us feel at home, so much attention given to preparing delicious meals customized to all our diet preferences. She has decorated the boat to feel homey and welcoming, with lots of attention to detail. I enjoyed her antique glassware and dishes, cute teacups and even the pretty beaded netting used to protect milk pitchers from insects. Francisco had a vast knowledge of the Pantanal and showed us so many animals and birds, told us all about the ecology, environment, history of the Pantanal and the lifestyle of the indigenous people. He knows the place so well -- he can detect animals from the slightest change in color or movement along the shore. Both of them are dedicated environmentalists who "walk the talk" and are committed to preserving the special natural qualities of the Pantanal. Together they told us so many interesting stories about their experiences in the Pantanal. We came with our sons, ages 18 and 10, and we all enjoyed our time there. Francisco and Margarida taught them to fish, and one of my boys caught 11 piranhas in an afternoon! My older son dropped his phone in the water next to the boat, and Francisco jumped right in and spent more than half an hour helping him look for his phone (they did find it!). They treated us so well, everything was done with great love and care, and we couldn't ask for better hosts. We went to four cities during our trip to Brazil, and this visit was definitely the highlight. We were happy with everything, but just know this is a houseboat. The rooms are small, so not much space to put your luggage (try not to bring too much). But it's to be expected.
