• Ching Yun (10/5): - Yuki is super friendly and thought maul to his guests, I received a warmest greeting from him and careful introduction to all facilities in the guest house. The traditionally Japanese room with tatami is confortable and warm, every corner in the house is tidy, and cat is super cute! I enjoyed my stay here and will definitely recommend people come and visit! Most importantly, foot bath is worthy to try!

Excellent tips and recommendations for things to do in the area and very convenient location in Kirishimam wish I could stay longer. Thank you Yuki.

• Nitzan (10/5): Incredible. Should have stayed longer. - The host was so incredibly nice and welcoming. Tatami room and everything. The foot bath was right outside the room and felt amazing. Was surprised to find out that the bath had it's own thermal water pipe in addition to the normal pipes. Tried one of the local souchus that were available to freely taste and it was really good. Just bummed that I only stayed for 1 night. Definitely worth staying for at least 2 days or more. Especially if you're coming with a car.

• A&Cfamily (10/5): - A rare gem. We had a wonderful time. Yuki is a special person who made this house a little gem. We were amazed by the tranquility, peace, and serenity of our stay. Everything was perfect: the futons were super comfortable, the decorations were fantastic, and even sharing the common areas was no problem, even though we weren't used to it. We always had our privacy, but we also had the opportunity to talk with Yuki and meet another traveler. We were very sorry to have to leave. We tried to enjoy the two nights as much as possible; the area is fantastic, a world with so much to offer. Thank you, Yuki, we hope to return one day soon.

Host offers mineral water, bottled tea for free, and there are also some sakes from local producers available for testing. Futon storage was really cold, better to keep is tightly shut xD

• Landon (10/5): We loved our stay in Yuki’s lovely traditional Japanese style home! - Very peaceful surroundings with a foot bath right out side our room. A very clean, spacious and traditional Japanese style room. The futons were nice and thick, making for a very comfortable sleep. Our host was very friendly and gave us a great recommendation for dinner. We loved everything!

• Gasper (10/5): - We had a lovely stay at this traditional Japanese house before heading to Kagoshima Airport in the morning. The host was very kind and spoke good English, so communication was easy. The private thermal footbath was a wonderful touch and made the experience even more relaxing. The location was perfect for our needs - several onsens nearby, the airport shuttle bus stops almost right in front of the house, and there’s a Lawson convenience store just around the corner. The host even kindly let us use the washing machine for free and helped us with the settings. Overall, a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Highly recommended!

A tradizionale japanese house with a private onsen, do you Need something else? The location is in front of the Airport bus stop and closer to a kombini and a Motto Hotto (try It for dinner) . • Clement (10/5): Best place in Kirishima - I didn’t except a such nice inn, everything is in its right place, you can feel the importance of details when the house has been renovated. The host is one of the most friendly and attentive I've ever met, from the first message to arrival, taking care to introduce guests to each other to create a warm atmosphere. Kirishima is well located, with Sakurajima volcano to the south and Kinkowan National Park to the north, so there are plenty of activities to do in the area. I highly recommend this inn, one of my best experiences of my trip to Kyushu !
• Everett (10/5): Great guesthouse and host - A very nice guesthouse with warm and welcoming host. The house is small but beautiful. The room was large and excellent. The host is very thoughtful and caring and speaks great English. It’s not far by bus to the national park which is beautiful. I had a restful stay and would come back again. It’s a little far from the station.

• Anita (10/5): Relaxation off the beaten path - 5 stars for everything Yuki’s Guesthouse was the perfect place to stay for us. It was very relaxing, and the house was convenient and clean. Yuki had renovated his grandmothers house with good taste, it was modern but with tradition. It was nice to sink feet into the onsen water foot bath on the deck after walking around the peaceful surroundings. Yuki gave us also good information about area and was very kind as a host. We enjoyed our visits to the Youyu-an Onsen and Noah’s Coffee House where you can drink coffee grown in the Kirishima area. We could have stayed longer! Greetings from two Finnish ladies -
• Amir (10/5): Exceptional - Yuki's guesthouse was one of the best surprises in my travels. If you want to experience Japan for real, this is the place for you. Yuki's neighborhood is as local as it gets, and the house itself is as Japanese as it gets, in the best way possible.

The room was comfortable and spacious, the outdoor footbath was amazing, the house was very clean and well-maintained, and Yuki-san was so kind, even going out of his way to help us with a local car rental. And Yuki-san’s cat is super shy but very cute.

• Marino (10/5): Exceptional - Yuki-san the owner of the guesthouse is one of the kindest and fun persons I met in Japan. Who cares so much of the well being of his guests. On top of that the guesthouse is so clean and cleaned by him everyday. Whenever you have questions you can ask him and he will help as much as he can. You can enjoy your stay and also if you like you can have nice and interesting talks about many topics with him. I will book this place at my next stay in Kagoshima again. 11 out of 10! Exceeded my expectations by far (:

It was a brilliant glimpse into Japanese life and our evening conversation was one to remember! A generous, loving host and a great trip overall. A tip for future travellers: make sure you have a car rental in Kirishima! You can’t hike otherwise.

The home stay is quite far away from things, but this will enhance the feeling that you are living like a local Japanese. Especially when you sit outside to enjoy the foot bath in the evening while maybe enjoying a shochu or two. Yuki is extremely kind and generous and a delight to talk too. Excellent experience overall. A small note: it is a small home stay, so be careful not to experience a hotel-like service and environment. Nothing

• Michael (9/5): Great house and host ! - The house is great and clean, it has been through renovation. Yuki-san is an excellent host. Traditional tatami room and comfy futon. Bathroom with laundry and dryer, onsen coming straight from the sink for a soothing bath. I will come here again when I am around Kirishima Nothing. But if you come with public transportation and intend to hike at Ebigen, you have to walk around 30min to Kokubu station.

• Alessandra (10/5): Wonderful stay, we miss it so much already - This is a dream place! The house is newly renovated and refurbished with impeccable taste. There are two traditional rooms available, both spacious, clean and very quiet. The onsen water is available at the house and there’s a small bath outside to relax! The house is so clean and organised, and Yuki the host is just amazing. He provides you with anything you need, including laundry and towels. We spent two wonderful days there and felt fully recharged. Unfortunately the weather was really bad but Yuki recommended alternative places to visit! There are many beautiful onsen as well as izakayas on a walking distance! We will definitely go back to enjoy this unique environment once again! All perfect!
