- Kerri (6/5): Great convenience and amenities but thin walls and ceiling meant for a noisy stay - Property was close to the city centre so very convenient. Getting in was simple and straight forward. Shower was powerful and comfortable bed, either plenty of storage The noise from neighbours beside and above was very loud - the ceiling must be very thin because you heard every step whereby I had to sleep with headphones on to drown it out - not ideal
- Ruby (2/5): Wasn’t very pleasant. Broken glass in our bed etc - The actual room itself was nice. Enjoyed the design and decoration. We had multiple issues about the property. 1. The room itself isn’t well kept. There was damage around the property which i made sure to take photos of so I didn’t lose my deposit 2. The room wasn’t clean. Dust everywhere, along skirting boards , plants etc . Our bed had people’s hair in still and we believed it wasn’t cleaned and changed just been tucked all back in. 3. There was a massive spill of something on the floor where they hadn’t been mopped . 4. We found broken glass in our bed which we wasn’t too pleased about . When booking there isn’t clear advertisement of a deposit having to be paid so it was a shock to me when the property contacted me telling me my booking wasn’t confirmed despite the fact i had already paid almost £400 and that an extra £150 was to be paid as the deposit. Luckily I did get my deposit back . Another thing is the property sends a list of rules once everything is all confirmed, one of them being that when staying noise needs to be at a minimum and no smoking in rooms else u could lose ur deposit. However we didn’t get the best of sleep ( The bed was extremely uncomfortable and didn’t feel like it was very supported by the bed frame ) but other people where very loud , people running up and down the corridor, screaming and laughing from another room. The room above us stomping around early hours of the morning. When walking through the corridor there was a strong smell of weed coming from another room which was not enjoyable. One of the housekeeping staff walked into my room whilst my partner and i was in bed, luckily we managed to sort out the mix up as she was given the wrong room to clean ( she was told we had checked out which we still had another day there until check out ) Overall the stay wasn’t pleasant and for nearly £400 it wasn’t worth it . Save yourself the money and book a different hotel

- Mathanee (1/5): Great location not great services - Great location Turning up with no linen, bed not made stains on the duvet and no toilet paper. Followed by an hr later (well past check in I'd like to add) a cleaner turning up because I had to complain to booking.com about the situation. No shampoo or shower gel and very little soap.
Seriously disappointing and upsetting after paying almost £200 and a 4 hr drive. Thank goodness it was only a 1 night stay.
- Ben (1/5): The pits - The bed was broken, blood on the walls, un cleaned bathroom. We were booked for two nights but left after the first.
We are in process of taking Hopewell to court to recover money, they admitted it was badly kept and offered £50 back
- Putu (9/5): Superb -
- Geoff (9/5): OK for a short stay.good value - Much as described. Quite small but well equipped, clean, central location and warm. A bit over complex to get the access but once we had done everything access was good.
- Bella (8/5): Very good - Great location, great pad! Couldn’t have expected more Didn’t receive the door codes even 3 hours after we were due to - called the customer support line and she was very helpful but the key code she gave me was incorrect and I had to call back to get another
- Graham (9/5): Pricey but very nice room and location. - Excellent location, great communications from management.
- Yu (5/5): Fair - Nice location! The cleaning wasn’t great.
Also in the shower there’s no where to put our shampoo and body washes etc - so we it all on the floor.
- Sophie (9/5): Superb - Very good location. Clean & Good communication with host. Sofa wasn’t very comfortable.
- Steve (10/5): Very easy and comfortable - Clean and spacious Nothing major
- Alison (9/5): Great location. Very comfortable stay. - Brilliant location right in the centre. Quiet. Had blackout blinds. Very tastefully decorated. Self check-in really suited us. Hopewell, who run this apartment, stayed in great contact so we were well prepared before going. Towels provided, some coffee, milk and sugar available in sachets. Much better than a hotel room as it had the kitchen facilities for keeping drinks cold and heating others. No microwave though but we didn’t need one. Had a hob and oven. Honestly, the only thing that got us was that the name of the building wasn’t lit up outside and we arrived after dark so went round in circles a bit trying to find it.
- Sultan (10/5): Safe and Comfortable - It was in the city centre and going somewhere for a drink/eat or just taking a walk was so easy. We had everything we need in the apartment.
- Steven (7/5): A good apartment great position for the Hippodrome bars and restaurants - Great position, compact but everything needed was available Some noise and strong smell from a neighbouring apartment who were clearly smokers sadly beyond the control of the owners of this apartment
- Paolo (10/5): Perfect accomodation for short and long staying in Bristol - The room was very clean and well laid out. the accommodation consists of a single room with a double bed, kitchen, and bathroom; the room contains all appliances for living: dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator, iron, and oven. The kitchen is well stocked with all cooking utensils. The location is very central, the bus stop for the bus to and from the airport is a minute's walk away and the city centre is only 5 minutes away.
Highly recommended. I had some problems receiving the code for retrieving the keys, but the owner answered me immediately.
- Michael (9/5): Tidy and comfortable studio flat in the city-centre, great for a short stay for a solo traveller - Great location in the city centre, easy to find and no problems whatsoever with the self check-in. The bed and shower were great and the kitchen area has some useful essentials. I could not manage to locate cutlery anywhere in the kitchen, which otherwise had everything else you might need.
- Mohamed (8/5): Very good -
- Stephanie (5/5): Could have been better - Location, kitchen and bathroom. The door into the building kept getting stuck so I was locked inside until a resident explain the trick (knocking the door to the left handside with your foot at the bottom. The radiators made tapping noises so I had to turn them off and therefore it was very cold all night. Hopewell should also streamline their communications, I've never received so many emails and text messages about a one night booking.
- Kate (6/5): Pleasant - The place was clean and quiet, easily accessible and right in the centre of the city. A bit unsettled by the security deposit that had to be taken to secure the property - which actually cost considerably more than the room - not advertised on Booking.com (fully refundable if the room is in a condition they can accept once you've left). Luckily everything was fine and we weren't charged... but then they charged a mysterious extra fiver from us after the trip. All a bit weird, and tricky if you don't have tons of money to spare.
- Chloe (10/5): A wonderful stay at alliance house, wasn’t expecting it to be as nice as it was, perfect location:) - Very clean and lovely room! Will definitely be back Nothing!
- Murillo (7/5): Excellent location and comfortable flat. An air conditioner would be nice in the summer. - Location is the best in town. Tou sent me a wrong message, with wrong instructions to get the keys. I went to this wrong place, had to get in touch through phone, it was not cool.
- Bogdan (5/5): Those who are used to living in dirt and other people's hair without an open window will be comfortable there ... - Location very nice They don’t remove dust and dirt for a very long time, other people’s hair lies everywhere starting on the floor, bathroom, window sills and ending on the bed… dust and other people’s hair on the bed… that’s what they will meet you there, you pay money for two and leave only a shower set for one ….very stuffy. If you open the window, you won’t fall asleep from the noise for a long time ... you need air conditioning 100%
- Esma (6/5): Pleasant - The location is perfect and ideal
The Appartement comes with everything needed (washing machine, iron, kitchen, hair dryer) The bed was too small for 2 person, I'd consider it to be for one person only
The door is tricky to close and makes a lot of noise
Some cleaning must be done between furniture from time to time and not only what's visible
Plus booking should make it clearer and more obvious that there's a deposit
- Carolyn (9/5): Superb -
- Plakhtieva (10/5): It was a good decision to stay in the Alliance studio. Great option for the money you pay, and location is close to ever - the studio is a good solution for a couple. it has all necessary amenities and it is bigger than average room in a hotel for the same price.
- Grammatiki (9/5): excellent- Will book again - clean , good facilities , quiet . very central location only negative is that you need to collect and leave the key in a different location
- Yijing (10/5): Exceptional - Everything in this property exceeds my expectation! love it It's not easy to find the locker box to collect the keys.
- Godfrey (4/5): mixed with mattress tipping balance to not want to come again - clean, fresh and modern poor external lighting made locating it difficult. Mattress had dip on right side making it it uncomfortable; needs to be in a skip not on a bed. key safe too low and poorly lit with insufficient instructions
- Lily (4/5): Amazing Accommodation; Awful Administration!... - Location was amazing, literally right in the heart of the city. The room was spacious yet compact; it had everything you needed and felt more like a home than just a hotel. Decor was very cute. The complete lack of organisation! Unfortunately I had an awful experience with the Alliance team. Be aware there is a security deposit of £150 that needs to be paid 7 days before your stay; I missed this in the terms and conditions however was contacted less than 24 hours before my stay saying I would be denied entry if I didnt pay. This is supposed to be a deposit, not a payment, and they told me they had sent the money back to my account the day I checked out. However, I had to chase them several times and get my bank to set up a small claim before they admitted fault to not refunding my deposit. The staff were really condescending, dismissive, and they spoke to me as if I was in the wrong and caused me so much stress for a 1 night stay... I would never go through that again.
Also, checkout time is more like 9:45am at the latest as you need to drop your keys off to the Alliance building before checkout. So if you do stay, please take note of that.
- Christopher (8/5): Very good - Location, clean and modern The front door is a nightmare to open and close
- Amanda (8/5): Nice clean apartment in the city good communication from the managing agents - Nice apartment in the city centre
- Allisya (8/5): Everything is great, the location l, the facilities. The only thing that lack is the customer support. - The location is superb. Near The Centre where you can get a bus to literally everywhere around Bristol. Theres tesco express across the property. The apartment is well equipped with all kitchen utensils. The downside is that the staff is very late at taking action. We have problem with the water heater and it took more than 3 days for an action from them. Its very disappointing as we have to take cold showers everyday for at least 3 days.
