• Sanja (7/5): Prima voor 1 nacht maar prijs kwaliteit zeker niet in verhouding. - Prima huisje maar te duur voor wat je voor terugkrijgt Jacuzzi, alleen de achterste jets doen het, hier een daar scheuren in het plastic. Met andere woorden; een oud ding. Sauna doet het niet, ook al volg je de instructies. Daarbij staat in de advertentie een binnen en buiten haard vermeld maar je moet wel zelf hout meenemen…

• sherri (3/5): We were disappointed, as this was not a beach house nor was it appropriate for more than 2/3 people - It was clean. While we greeted very hospitably and into a very clean place, it was upon arrival that we immediately knew this booking was not as it was listed. First, this home is NOT beachfront. It isn’t even close to a beach. It is NOT a beach house at all. A matter of fact, the house is set back in on an extremely narrow unkept road with construction, piles of dirt, a very soft shoulder and water trenches. It is a very shabby neighborhood. The parking was taken up our second night in which I sent a message to the owner on booking.com but heard nothing back. We had to park at the end of a very dark street on grass in a field with our new vehicle. The train station is quite a drive, it is not walkable. Also, when returning back to the train station you have to transfer to a bus. It is not convenient at all. The house is TINY. It would be suitable for 2 people. We had 5! There is one bathroom. No room for privacy what so ever. We had to one by one use the bathroom to get ready to go out, for bed etc…. The only real bed is accessed by a ladder and the ceiling is very low. One of our guests hit her head quite bad. The 2nd bed is a pull out uncomfortable sofa. The 3rd is a single, also uncomfortable “bed”. The neighbor is loud in the morning and has barking dogs. The other neighbor had the leaf blower going which sounded like it was in our house. The last morning, we heard chickens outside of the house as well as banging from the neighbor. There is a cat that comes onto the property and will enter the house if you allow it. We didn’t mind the cat. The hot tub is dated and all jets do not work. The sauna was okay but takes a 1/2 hour to heat up and we had trouble with the lights. The last night we were sitting outside in complete darkness. This was just a very disappointing stay for us after we had spent two weeks hopping from beautiful house to beautiful house. The description is embellished for this place.

It's important for older travellers to note that the bedroom is situated on a loft, which may pose accessibility challenges for those with difficulty climbing stairs. However, the option of a sleeper couch in the living area offers an alternative. Overall, a cosy and well-equipped lodge for a relaxing getaway.
• Janette (9/5): Relaxing vacation apartment for rural setting travellers - Loved the African feel, the jacuzzi, the friendly hosts, the kitchen facilities for preparing our own meals and the large tv It cost us a lot in Uber rides but it was worth it to be out in the country. We could have used the bikes for a ten minute cycle ride to Haarlem but it was cold and drizzly. The ladder like entry to the mezzanine bed was a little difficult for us to navigate at nearly 70 but it would be great for younger couples or families. There was a pull out couch we could have used
