• Derek (9/5): Very enjoyable and in a great position - There was no breakfast provided The locks on both the security metal gate and the wooden front door were very difficult to engage with the keys.
• Patrick (10/5): A wonderful and relaxing stay directly by the sea with warm hospitality. - We especially loved the beautiful location directly by the sea. The wonderful view, the sound of the waves, and the peaceful atmosphere were truly special. The accommodation was also very clean, cozy, and furnished with great attention to detail. We felt completely comfortable throughout our stay. Insgesamt haben wir unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Nur gelegentlich war der vorbeifahrende Zug zu hören, was uns jedoch nicht besonders gestört hat.
• Sears (8/5): - The view was good. The noise of the train running in front of the accomo. And a very busy road. We expected to be on a beach front accomo, not behind a train line and busy road.
• Tony (8/5): - Good location for the beach and easy to get to the Parkrun. A lot of locks to get in and out - 4 each time plus an extra for the garage. I guess it's necessary in Fishhoek?

• Sara Elizabeth (9/5): Amazing views just across from the beach. - We stayed here at the beginning of February and the distance from the beach can’t be beat. It’s just across the road. The flat has big windows with gorgeous views of the Fish Hoek beach and is bright and clean. The train runs right past the beach so if you have a family member who likes trains it’s an added bonus. There’s a delicious bakery next door that’s popular with locals and has excellent breads. There is also safe parking in a garage behind a security gate next to the building. You’ll need to park on the street initially until you can get the keys to the flat which include the remote for the security gate and garage door. The flat was spotless when we arrived and the owner was easily available to contact and very helpful when we were unsure of things. A slight downside to the property is the fact that you have to carry all your suitcases etc up a flight of steps to get to the flat. It wasn’t a big issue for us but might be for people with big heavy luggage. Also, the train starts running relatively early in the morning (6am ish) and occasionally sounds its horn just before the pedestrian crossing. We actually quite liked experiencing the train going by and the accompanying sounds, but if you’re sensitive to sound it might be hard to sleep in. In terms of the area, the road that the flat is on is safe, but I would avoid going along the road towards the taxi rank if possible because that area can be a bit dodgy. I ran along the beach and back through the town in the early morning alone as a woman and only really felt the need to be careful in the central town area near the train station. The beach itself is safe and there are lots of friendly walkers and swimmers.

• Khensani B (10/5): Spectacular views... - The place was clean, comfortable and smelling fresh. The owners were friendly and welcoming and very responsive. We felt like the ocean and mountains view are not well advertised, this place has amazing views in both bedrooms and the lounge... full view of the ocean and the mountains which is a spectacular sight. The place looked exactly like the photos which is very rare these days. Parking is far from the apartment and there are no lifts, one has to use stairs with bags. Shower its a little small for 2 when needing to save water but this should not overshadow the cleanliness and comfort of the place with the amazing views. It can do with a mirror (long mirror) in the bedroom to assist ladies when preparing themselves 😆
• Stone (10/5): - Beach front retreat is a great spot with wonderful hosts. It has everything you need overlooking Fish Hoek's wonderful swimming beach. You are surrounded by restaurants, shops, and a magnificent coffee spot, so no rented car required. My kids loved it. We will be back, for sure.
• Summayah (10/5): Amazing apartment right across a family friendly beach! - We had a wonderful stay at 5 Ithaca in Fish Hoek. The apartment has been recently revamped, is spotless, and has a warm, homely feel to it. The location is excellent — we loved waking up to the beautiful sunrise over the ocean, which we could enjoy right from our beds. Mario, the owner, was incredibly accommodating with our check-in and check-out needs, which made our stay even more comfortable. The apartment is within walking distance to a fantastic swimming beach, and the kids absolutely loved it. Fish Hoek itself is a lovely, peaceful area away from the hustle and bustle of Cape Town’s city centre, yet close enough for easy day trips. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will definitely be back at 5 Ithaca again. Highly recommended! The railway is across the road and the train starts super early on a Saturday morning.

The accomodation was pefect and fulfilled our needs. Easy access to shops and restaurants. All in walking distance. The hosts were very warm and friendly. Just the wind.
• Reshenn (10/5): A piece of Euphoria in South Africa - Amazing does not even begin to describe this place. 5 stars for the premises, the entire place is kitted out with such care and hospitality that makes one feel like home and much much more. The location I would say is the best in FishHoek, beach is across the road, the water is tequise and warm, supprisingly. The mountain views on both sides is magical. When the costal view passenger train goes past its like something out of a childs dream. There was nothing more we could wish for. We will be back as often as possible. There's no negative there, most definitely.

Was handy having access to a garage too. Mario, the owner, was a legend. We arrived in Fish Hoek much earlier than expected and he was very accommodating, allowing us to check in a few hours early. The railway can be quite loud at times, but would be a problem for any property along the beach front. The view more than makes up for it.
