Guest Reviews
- Mohammad (4/5): Could be a lot better. - The apartment was cosy and good. The location was nice. First of all, it was poorly maintained. We had a hard time locating the lockbox to the keys of the apartment at night. The owner didn’t respond on time. The wifi credentials were only given after asking. The place had stained sheets and dirty pillows and not enough duvets for three people. The water heater was not working properly. The shower system was also broken.
- robin (1/5): Hidden gem - very well hidden - Amazing photographs covering up the overall grubbiness and poor standards.
Communicative host (until he hides from his responsibility and commitment to refund payment) Grubby. Tired. Noisy. Poor standard. In a "bedsit house" with little sound insulation.
Unhelpful owner/host Raph promised to thoroughly clean and remove all traces of feathers (pillows, duvets, cushions, or other furnishings). Despite clear previous conversation about my feather allergy he broke this promise and has refused to refund the payment, even after confirming in writing that it would be done..
Despite 3 calls, Booking has not been able to refund my costs either - Raph has failed to respond.
- Edel (7/5): Good -
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely place, good location.
- Joe (10/5): Good location, good accommodation, great value and great comms from the owner -
- Remmy (9/5): Superb - The location is close to the bus stop so very convenient. no
- Mark (2/5): poor -
- Fiona (9/5): great flat with amazing views from every window. fabulous tv, comfy sofa, perfect flat! - the location was great! Very close to centre. also close to amazing park, walks and the wonderful 'bear' pub.
- Matilda (9/5): Bijou relaxing accommodation - Location excellent on regular bus route. Decor relaxed and fresh. Welcome pack appreciated after long journey!
Owner very prompt response to query and very welcoming
Would definitely book again. Bathroom small but that's not a dislike really
- Julie (6/5): Pleasant - The location. The crockery. The TV. The milk in fridge Dirty water left in washer/dryer. The bedding for sofa bed. The lack of heating and wifi
- Jade (9/5): Lovely little apartment, would definitely stay again. - Fantastic location with an easy walk that has a choice of coffee stops on route into Bath city centre. A £6.50 taxi back made the steep walk uphill with a little one much easier.
The flat was comfortable and quiet.
The views from the open plan living room/kitchen were lovely.
The host was really quick to respond to any questions
- Wesam (8/5): Very good -
- Karen (8/5): Loved it, would stay again and Raph couldn’t have been more helpful. - Peaceful and apartment laid out well with everything we needed. Location was a bit of a walk from the centre of town
- Fiona (9/5): Fantastic flat, lovely host, stunning views. - very responsive host, very easy check in, amazing views, maybe supply a fan?? Our stay was during a heatwave and the flat has beautiful big windows with panoramic views over bath so the flat does get quite hot.
- Harriet (3/5): Poor -
- Marius (9/5): Superb -
- Startek (7/5): Good -
- Philip (8/5): Good value with nice views - Great value accomodation in a nice location with good views. Good bed and sofabed. Clean if a little tired in places. Parking outside accomodation only till 8am, but plenty with no restrictions a short walk away so not abig issue.
- Ana (9/5): Overall, it was a great stay! The host was super responsive. His instructions how to get into the flat were easy to foll - If one chooses Georgian Gem to stay, one will be close to the countryside where one will find amazing pubs where to eat and drink. It’s a 15/20 minute walk to the centre of Bath or there’s a bus stop nearby and in about 5 minutes you’re in the centre. The property has got everything you need for a short stay. There’s a Tesco Express 5 minutes away from the flat. It can be a noise road where the flat is located and the flat only has single glazed windows so when the road is busier, you can hear the traffics passing by.
- Peter (6/5): Fair - A good living space and kitchen. A washing machine to do some laundry. The bathroom was very small. Mould in the bathroom and around some of the windows. There was a lot of road noise.
- James (5/5): Passable -
- Tommymason11 (9/5): Great location with parking. - Great location, nice and clean, easy to get a bus. Free parking. Small bathroom
- Emma (7/5): Okay and started to feel homely however disappointed when first arrived as it’s not what’s expected. - WiFi works well, lounge area and bed very comfortable. No noise from neighbours. Unclean in places for example the oven & tea spilt on the walls. No tea towel, washing cloths or any cleaning products to use once you’ve cooked. Empty products left in the kitchen cupboards, for example coffee jar with no coffee in when specified on the website it comes with the stay.
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (5/5): Went home early only stayed one night out if two booked as found accommodation not for us. - Netflix available on tv. Bathroom, Bed linen, Towels.
- Manjula (1/5): Bad - The property doesn't have a parking facility. They mentioned that they have a free parking facility.
I had a parking ticket.
- Jenny (7/5): Good -
- Jim (5/5): Passable - Good instructions re entry and exit the property. Oven was filthy and when used created smoke that set off the fire alarm. There were no instructions on how to turn off alarm or reset. Owner also did not know. The property needs a deep clean not a superficial clean.
- Jan (9/5): Superb -
- Angela (7/5): Good - The area surrounding bath The main rd it was out of Bath
- Hannah (9/5): Superb - Great location, parking outside, comfy, felt home from home, Sainsbury 3 min drive, great communication from hosts
- Peter (10/5): Short visit to Bath - Warm and comfortable unit with washing machine and kitchen. In a great position with only a 30 minute walk or short bus trip to the centre of Bath. A friendly local pub, The Devonshire Inn and basic shopping are only a few minutes walk away. Raph, the owner, was very helpful and responsive and organised a parking permit for on street parking outside the unit.
- Agnieszka (8/5): Very good - Communication with the host was great and clear. We liked the style of the apartment and facilities.
- Helen (8/5): Good location. Nice views - Good location, nice views, parking a bonus. Bathroom is really small. Flat very compact- although had what we needed.
- Rita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Iz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jess (8/5): Lovely family holiday with a solid base! - Really friendly host - went the extra mile thinking about little details to make our stay easier.
Parking was really easy, lots of spaces.
- Johnny (9/5): Homely, cosy and romantic. - Clean and tidy, comfortable and welcoming! Continental breakfast items available. Free and easy parking. Good communication from host. Parking was a bit stressful due to the main road on the hill and more clarity about the parking permits being digital would be useful.
- Rebecca (9/5): Lovely flat close to Bath centre. - Clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Excellent communication from Raph, thank you.
- Alan (10/5): Great apartment - The apartment was in a great location, on street parking available and the views were amazing. Very helpful and accommodating host. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return if we visit the area in future. Nothing, we really enjoyed our stay and it was great value for money.
- Brianlb (8/5): Value for money - Location was good. Free parking on the street outside.
- Archie (10/5): Lovely Cosy Flat, Great Location 😁 - The property was very cosy and in perfect condition when we arrived! It was in a great location to reach the city centre, and check in/check out procedure was very straightforward. Raph was excellent in communicating info in the lead up to the rental dates, which was very much appreciated! Nothing at all!
- Matt (8/5): Just what we needed, decent location, comfy bed, good host too - Good location, had everything we needed for 2 people Bit dirty in some places but genuinely didn’t affect the stay in any way
- Barry (8/5): Very good - Parking easy, good access to the centre, dog friendly and milk left for us in fridge. Cooking facilities good and heating good. No hot water in kitchen which owner would fix after we left. A bit of road noise but expected in Bath.
- Ephream (10/5): Cosy and beautiful - Very clean and comfortable everything that a traveller needs is there
