Guest (8/5): Good place and definitely to recommend, except for the things mentioned. - Very clean and comfortable. Quick reaction on questions via Booking.com messenger. As others have already mentioned, there is the lack of service according to cleaning and fresh towels. I can see the point of not being a hotel but within this price class I would have expected that this important information is clearly written down wherever necessary (e.g. Booking.com, their website but at least on a information flyer within the rooms). It really disturbed us that there was no cleaning and towel changing for our whole time of stay of five days and there was no advise on that issue literally nowhere. It is definitely not intuitive for people to ask explicitly for cleaning and towel changing when there is no information about that nowhere.

Pagliarin (8/5): - Non piaciuto non c'è stato nulla. Abbiamo avuto solo alcune difficoltà nel capire come regolare il riscaldamento e la tv, ma va bene comunque, eravamo per lo più fuori dalla stanza.
Kristen (10/5): - Great location in gorgeous Bolzano, big rooms and bathroom. It took us a few tries to get the door unlocked with the automation, but once it worked we had zero problems. No napkins or paper towels in the kitchen, so bring your own!

Achim (7/5): Bozen ist immer wieder eine Reise wert, allerdings gibt es bessere Wohnungen - Die Lage ist sehr zentral, Klimaanlage ist perfekt einzustellen, das Bett ist bequem und schön breit. Es gibt keine Garderobe, für einen Aufenthalt von einer Woche oder mehr ist der Kleiderschrank zu klein, keine Spülmaschine, Kaffeemaschine war bei Anreise defekt, kein Schminkspiegel im Bad, keine großer Spiegel vorhanden, Außenaufgang über mehrere Treppenstufen (kein Aufzug), nur im Gebäude existiert ein Aufzug, Nachts müssen die Fenster wegen Lautstärke geschlossen werden, wenn das Handy beim verlassen des Gebäudes vergessen wird, kein Zugang mehr zum Haus.

Apertura porte automatizzata solo mediante telefono tramite un link che viene inviato al momento del check-in... mh, non mi ha dato molta sicurezza, e inoltre è sicuramente poco adatto a persone anziane. C'è anche una scala non segnalata in descrizione. Dato il prezzo sarebbero state gradite una macchinetta del caffè in stanza e dell'acqua in frigo.
Hilke (8/5): - Die Lage und die Gestaltung des alten Hauses, mit modernen Anteilen. Die Sauberkeit und die Möbel.Modernes Bad in guter Größe. Kein Wasseroberfläche oder Kaffeemaschine. Man konnte auf der Website nicht genau erkennen, welches Zimmer man bucht. Somit war es nicht einfach ersichtlich, ob ein Wasserkochet oder eine Kaffeemaschine dabei ist.
Franciny (8/5): - O apartamento é muito bom, perfeito para dois casais. A localização também é excelente, bem perto do centro da cidade, próximo a vários restaurantes e lojas. As camas eram muito boas, assim como os chuveiros. A cozinha não estava muito limpa, tinha uma esponja suja e panos que estavam com mal cheiro. Sentimos falta de mais iluminação na cozinha também, e de algum lugar para pendurar as toalhas de banho e de rosto (não havia onde pendurá-las no banheiro). Poderia ter também um suporte para colocar o sabonete no chuveiro.

franck (9/5): Très beau séjour avec un hôte à l'écoute. Merci Marco - Les chambres et salles de bain, ainsi que la cuisine étaient très propres Mes commentaires doivent servir à améliorer, ceux-ci ne sont nullement une critique. Il n'y a que 2 plaques électriques ce qui semble peu vu qu'on peut loger à 4 personnes. Les plaques électriques ne chauffent presque pas, même si on les met sur POWER. Au niveau des ustensiles de cuisine, il n'y presque rien, 4 ou 5 couteux et fourchettes, 1 ou 2 casseroles, pas de ciseaux, pas de congélateur pour y mettre des glaçons, pas d'aspirateur pour aspirer les miettes du petits déjeuner,... Il faudrait investir 200 ou 400€ pour l'équipement et ce serait PARFAIT !!

Maartje (9/5): Amazing appartement! - We had the room at the 4th floor. Im pregnant and it was very nice it had an elevator. The room was big and had a nice kitchen and very nice bathroom. Everything was very clean. Around the corner is the center which is perfect. Next to the location is a brewery/restaurant where we had nice food and drinks. We didnt hear anything of the noise. A thing people should consider is the parking. We we're there by car and the parking nearby is quite expensive. Between 20-40 euro per day nearby the apartment. We would recommend finding a spot next to the road. Perfect! Would definitely stay again visiting dolomiti/Bolzano. I have nothing negative about the accommodation. The location and appartment itself are great.

Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - It was my first time staying in this apartment, and I was truly pleasantly surprised. The design is beautiful, and everything is very clean and tastefully arranged. The staff were polite, attentive, and helpful. Every request I made was taken care of promptly, and any informational questions were answered quickly and kindly. The apartment is located right in the heart of Bolzano, in the historic center, in the old town area. There are cafés, bars, shops, and restaurants just around the corner. The view of the mountains is absolutely beautiful. I truly enjoyed every moment of my stay. The bed was clean and comfortable, and the sound insulation was perfect — I didn’t hear any noise from outside, other guests, or tourists. During these days, I genuinely felt at home. A heartfelt thank you to the hosts and the management — I sincerely recommend this place to everyone. The only thing I slightly missed was a kitchen. There is a small corner with coffee and tea, which is lovely, because I personally enjoy cooking, so I would have appreciated a kitchen. Apart from that, everything was absolutely perfect, wonderful, and very comfortable.

Otherwise, not sure how we would have gotten in. The room was clean, cool and had everything we needed. The restaurant next door was excellent.

Larry (6/5): Unbelievably Great Location, poorly appointed room, a little dirty - Location was unbeatable. I liked using my phone to enter the room. That was very conveniet. The room was poorly appointed. There is room for a couch, but no couch. (We had friends staying in another apartment and neither of us could hang out in each other's rooms). There are no shelves for the suitcase. There are a few shelves for your clothing but unpacking for two people is rough. You basically end up with your suitcases on the floor and much of your clothes on the floor. There are ZERO shelves in the shower so your soap goes on the floor. For us, cleanliness was an issue. The shelf behind the sink is dirty b/c it's painted with rough paint (seems like it's only primer) and it is simply covered with dirt that can't wash off. Worse is the floors are unfinished raw floorboards. I guess that was an aesthetic choice but they have dirt and oil ground in b/c they can't really be washed. They are rough to the feet. I was fine walking around barefoot but my wife found it dirty and gross. (Our friends room had the same floors but their floorboards might have been newer and weren't so obviously dirty). In all, it wouldn't take much for them to improve this place. A small couch, a couple of small stands to put suitcases on, finishing (sanding and polishing) the floors, and installing some shelves in the bathrooms. We considered giving up the $ and switching hotels b/c we were there for five days and were not happy aobut returning to the room, but, in the end, didn't spend much time in the room, so it was okay. I feel bad about writing such a harsh review, but I think they could improve the situation very easily and without much cost.

There’s a spacious living room, and the window design is beautiful, offering lovely views of the town. The service was also fantastic; although the staff’s English wasn’t perfect, they were very patient.

The property is right next to a brewery with outdoor seating, so it gets a bit noisy until it closes around 01. The auto check in didn’t work as the lock on our door was dead for some reason. Got to borrow a key instead, so everything worked out in the end.
Лусияна (10/5): Dolomites easy to go - Perfect location, there is great beer bar and restaurant :) Easy to check in and unlock the doors. Near the apartment there is a hotel with parking spots. The apartment was very clean, the bed was comfortable, air-conditioned.
Emily (10/5): Highly recommend! - Everything! Upon arriving on a hot day, I entered the absolute nice and cool building which was a great start to my stay... And then I entered the room. I was so amazed at how beautiful, clean, the attention to detail. Everything is just perfect: The beds are VERY comfortable, in my room there were 2 different types of shower heads which was great, the towels were so nice and soft, and to my surprise: Bathrobes! There were also little toiletries and a hairdryer. The room had airconditioning, which was completely silent! It was just a dream to be able to come back to a room which was so beautiful and cool after a day of walking around Bolzano. I HIGHLY recommend Alte Schmiede to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Bolzano (Very central. 8 minute walk from train station and about 3 minute walk from the shopping area) Thank you for my incredible stay :D
