• Alison (9/5): - Beautiful pod, really well appointed and comfortable. Beautiful setting Only downside at all was the cloud of midgies that greeted me on my 2nd night returning to the pod. I spent a long time mashing them before I could sleep. But I know this would a problem across any similar location in the Highlands atm!

Un logement très « coorie «  - L’emplacement à deux pas de l’embarcation pour l’île d’Handa, le calme de la hutte, la propreté et l’équipement du logement 👌🏼 Seul bémol, équipement cuisine au top, mais pas de sel ni de poivre ni d’huile. Les produits de base que l’on s’attend à trouver dans une cuisine air bnb. Le lit grince , ne pas bouger 🫤
• Bryan (9/5): Lovely place to stay for a couple of nights and explore the area. - The small Pod was like a TARDIS and had everything that you would want. Very comfortable. Great view towards the sea. Really quiet location. Because of our age it was not easy to climb into bed, but that just made it an experience!

• SA82sassa (10/5): Best of the pods on the NC500 - The location and pods was amazing. I didn't want to leave. Lovely coastal walks, loch walks and a short drive to petrol and necessities. We have stayed in a few pods doing the North Coast 500 and this one was by far the best for us. Light, spacious and well thought out. Thank you for thinking of everything you would need for a comfortable Coorie stay. This we learnt about from the lovely book you'd left. -

• Karin (10/5): - Der beste Pod, den wir je hatten! Hervorzuheben sind die Komplettverglasung der Seite mit Ausblick, die Klimaanlage und der Mückenschutz an der Tür. Ein Pod kann sich bei Sonnenstrahlung durchaus aufheizen, die Möglichkeiten zu lüften sind aber durch die Midges unter Umständen eingeschränkt. Die Klimaanlage ist hier die beste Lösung. Handa Pod war sehr sauber und geräumig. Die Lage ist absolut Spitze!
• Beer (9/5): Sehr gut, würden wieder kommen - Abgelegene Lage, naturnah, ruhig. Direkter Anschluss an Ferry nach Handa Island Direkte Umgebung könnte ein bisschen besser aufgeräumt sein (Erster Anblick beim ankommen, Bretter neben der Unterkunft). Trotzdem aber sehr gute Kleine Unterkunft.
• Sven (10/5): - Wunderbare Aussicht und ruhige Lage mitten in der Natur. Perfekter Ausgangspunkt für einen Ausflug nach Handa Island, da die Fähre in wenigen Geh-Minuten erreichbar ist.
• Sarah (10/5): Tolle Unterkunft - Die Unterkunft liegt wunderschön und ruhig mit allem Nötigen in leicht fahrbarer Distanz. Wir wären rückblickend gerne länger geblieben. Wegen der Mücken sollte man zur Hochsaison unbedingt Mittel einpacken, die einen schützen. Das Bett war leider nicht ganz so bequem für uns.

• Catherine (9/5): Superb - The pod contained everything you need except an oven (had a cooktop though). The verandah was nice to sit on when there was no rain or midges. The bed was comfortable enough and the internet worked well. Air-conditioning worked well. The host provided a range of locally produced bathroom products and a small selection of tea and coffee. Free parking. Whilst there was a net on the front door, the midges still got in (and you could not open the windows else they came in there too). There was a cooktop but no exhaust to avoid setting of the smoke alarm. There was no way to block the sunlight properly in summer.

• Barrie (10/5): An excellent three nights spent in what was out first 'Pod' experience, thoroughly recommend it - Very neat and clean place with excellent facilities everything your could need is supplied There is a lack of shelving in the pod, also the one shelf above the cooker has a rather dangerous corner that you can easily catch your head on. That need Chamfering off. Or better still extend the shelf right across the kitchen area. The small shelf above the Bed too high , it just needs to be lowered about 3 inches to more comfortably reach it when you're in bed. We found the microwave too complicated, it is a super machine but needs time to master!

• Claudia (10/5): Beautiful pod in a beautiful setting - Everything! The pod gives you everything you need for a relaxing stay. It is spotlessly clean, warm and cosy and provides you with everything you need for a self-catering stay. The view all around is amazing and even on a rainy day you can enjoy it due to the panoramic window. Klara is a great host and answered any queries within minutes. Also thank you for the welcome pack of porridge, tea and biscuits. We had a lovely few days and would certainly come back Nothing

• Shona (10/5): Fabulous location - The pod was very cosy, warmed up quickly with the heater on. Amazing location with picturesque scenery, short walk to the ferry for Handa Island. The water was nice and fresh, I did try the unfiltered water and had no issues. It is located in a peaceful area, with no noise apart from occasional vehicles heading to the ferry. The pod was clean and tidy, with no issues at all during our stay, and I would highly recommend it. I'm not sure if there was one, I couldn't see it, but having a brush and pan to help keep the place tidy would be great.

• Martin (8/5): Heaven on Earth - Stunning location. A real piece of heaven. Porridge was a nice touch. Sea view. Great parking space. Great decking area to watch the sunset and enjoy a drink. Hot water was a bit temperamental (although shower was good) . Abandoned quad bike spoiled the outside area/ambience.

It was so quiet in April and the only other people we saw were the Handa Island ferry boat operators. The pod was so comfortable and cozy and Karla added so many unique touches to make us feel welcome and at home! Can’t think of anything. We loved the entire experience!

• Brian (8/5): Satisfactory, though with niggles. - Fresh clean bedlinen, which was not a certainty after previous stay in a 'bunkhouse' had required purchase of sleeping bag. Excellent range of self catering facilities. Some technical issues; microwave instructions only found after enquiry, could not get regular free to air channels on TV at all. (though I did get ITV X!) No apparent means of adjusting heating.

• Mike (7/5): A well equipped and clean property for an overnight stay. - It’s was well equipped, furnished and clean. The owner responded quickly when we had a minor query re the hob. Due to the humidity there were lots of midges as the pod over looks a lake. We kept the door slightly open and closed the net on the door but we found the midges came inso we closed the door. The pod was hot despite the cool air fan kindly provided.

• Robert (8/5): A 4 star Pod tastefully decorated with fitted out with everything you needed. The sky at night wow ! - Perfect location with a great view in this secluded location. At this time of the year the visitor numbers were reasonably low but I would not like to transit the access roads when summer traffic is heavy. For me every thing was perfect - just a shame that I was not able to make many sightings of the Eagles !

• Elise (4/5): Not worth the price - It was nice to have a whole enclosed pod and the location was beautiful and quiet. The bed was so extremely uncomfortable. The pod also retains a bunch of moisture to where we woke up with a puddle on the floor by the front door. We did open the windows a bit and turned on the bathroom fan, so the moisture could escape, but appears to not work as well as we would have expected. The wifi did not work and there were no channels on the TV. Overall, was a disappointing stay and wouldn't recommend to others.

• Ewan (9/5): Top notch stay and location - Location was excellent for exploring the local area. Well thought out decor and had a luxurious feel. Good value and beautiful views. Outdoor decking was a bonus as well.
• Michaela (9/5): Cozy escape in a beautiful area - The view is top! The pod smells very new inside (fresh wooden smell), the interior is of high quality (even the conditioner provided in the bathroom) and the location offers more than beautiful views. Furthermore, the host is very flexible with check-in, quick in response and doesn't disturb at all - we really enjoyed our stay! If you're REALLY looking for cons, you could mention some obstacles that diminish the perfect view a little bit (power line right in front of the patio) and the pod is not that far off the track as you might think. The road is just passing by and we feared that people could see easily inside, so we felt a little exposed and when there's high season for birdwatching, many cars pass the pod in the morning. To state the obvious, the pod heats up very easily in the sun and airing the room isn't that easy with that many midges that are typical for the time of our vacation (which also keeps you from sitting on the patio until the sun has fully disappeared). And just a warning for the lighthearted: if you're not used to single track roads, the access road might cause you some adrenalin ;) However, those minor cons are not able to really impact your stay at Handa pod!
• Stephanie (10/5): Amazing accommodation with lots of space. - Loved the location, general facilities and remoteness. Remember to bring your own food to cook as there is nothing nearby. The appliances were great quality and you can tell a lot of care has gone into it. Loads of space for a shepherds hut and it had a lovely water filter. Midges in the evening, had to lock ourselves inside and got bitten quite a bit

• Stefan (10/5): Exceptional - The Handa Pod is located on a very remote feeling area. In the evening, after the Tourists from Handa Island have left, you get the place for yourself. Within a short drive you reach Scourie, where u get all you need. We loved to stay in the Pod and can recommend it.
