- Tara (9/5): Excellent base for exploring northern Basse-Terre with friendly hosts and super amenities - Fabulous location, so close to so many of Basse Terre’s best beaches. The neighbourhood itself was quiet and the property felt very private. Supermarket less than 5 minutes walk away. Great contact with the hosts, they responded quickly and were super informative - they gave us a great list of recommended restaurants which we loved. We would love to stay again if we return to Guadeloupe! As expected, there were a few critters but the property was well-equipped to deal with this so we didn’t find it too much of a problem.
