- Stephen (8/5): Very satisfied overall - Close to all amenities and my wife was impressed with all the kitchen equipment and extras (chocolates).
- Mary (8/5): - Everything was great. Everything
- Tracey P (8/5): Overall a nice stay - Apartment was in a good location, pretty close to everything and walking distance to the restaurants and cafes, ferry etc. We were a bit disappointed not to have a view and to learn that only the 2 bedroom apartments have views. Had I known that earlier I would have made a different choice as it was something I really wanted.
- rajesh (9/5): - Clean Thought it is sew view

- Jayne (10/5): Lovely stay at Paihia perfect for Waitangi Treaty grounds and wharf - Location perfect
- Cheryl (8/5): - Clean modern and comfortable. Everything that was needed. Loved the coffee pod machine. The view. Looks over old derelict houses and a rusty truck chassis. No privacy on the balcony.

- Lynne (8/5): - Immediately response from property manager when phoned re light A light not working ibedroom

- Lauren (8/5): Convenient, close to the beach and comfortable! - Proximity to beach and town. The chocolates and milk were a nice touch! The bed was a bit soft
- Joshy (6/5): -
- Dave (5/5): - The only bed was too small
- Euan (9/5): Homely, with everything you need for a short break up north. - Easy self check-in, air-conditioned which was essential as it was pretty warm, and it had everything we needed.
- Anne (5/5): Me&my darling loved our getaway. We have 10 children & 7 grandchildren so, I loved it! ❤️ - It was raining while we were there. I wanted the view of the sea but ended up on the side that we couldn't see it. On our last day there, I went for a dip in the sea and had a good karakia. We needed this break from our busy lives. Thanks to my daughter inlaw Aniwaa &my son Osaiasi XO
We managed to get a bike ride in too.
Next time, we will be Mr. & Mrs. TAU-PARATA 💗🩵
Yours thankfully, Anne & Clark XXX There was nothing, I didn't like.
Life is life & we heard a baby crying all night, sounded sick but that's life, it didn't bother me.
The recycling ♻️ is a good idea too.
Extra towels will be nice but the towel heater was great.
My fiance wished the TV was bigger & the 1 in the room didn't work.
No phone lines, they were cut but lucky we had our mobile.
The internet was free & awesome through the weekend.
There was nothing I can complain about, it was awesome for the price too.
- Yasmin (9/5): - Spacious apartment, well equipped kitchen. Good location, short walk into Paihia and just opposite beach. Comfortable bed and sofa. Easy check in with lockbox, good communication from host. No lift. Got very warm in bedroom and bathroom (no blind), though good aircon in living room.
- Juliette (10/5): A great place to stay in Paihia! - Wonderful location, really excellent apartment with lovely touches (chocolates!) and everything we needed to enjoy our visit to Paihia. A sharp knife and chopping board would be our only suggestion, but really it was great.
- David (8/5): - Well presented, good attention to details, very clean.
Nice touches like food etc. The outlook from the apartment is uninspiring but otherwise it’s fine
- Kerry (9/5): Very nice location and quality accommodation . -
- tereza (8/5): If you don’t mind a short walk to the restaurants and shops it is a nice quiet location most of the time . We were very - We were greeted with a very clean apartment.
Everything you could need for a short stay .
😁 The location although in a quiet spot is ruined by the view overlooking the garage / fuel station.
Mostly wasn’t a problem unless a fuel tanker arrived 🤷🏼♀️
- John (10/5): Excellent value for money and attention to detail was superb - Clean, functional and just what we needed! Location, what was provided and the cleanliness
- Alexander (10/5): -
- Lara (10/5): -
- Julie-Anne (8/5): -
- Pamela (10/5): I would recommend our unit to others. - Very comfortable, clean & well appointed. Car parking was rather cramped.
- Leisa (9/5): - The location was fantastic. Not quite waterfront but it was close enough.
- Deborah (8/5): Good value apartment - The property is in a good location about a 15 minute walk from both Waitangi and Paihia wharf. It has good kitchen facilities making for a good value stay. It is right on the beach but no views. The parking is tight and not sure there are enough spaces for all apartments.
- Diane (9/5): - Great location and good sized apartment. Nice being able to sit outside on balcony. Enough parking on-site which is a bonus. Nothing
- Vaibhav (8/5): The accommodation was nice and cozy, providing a comfortable stay. The location was excellent, making it easy to get aro - Location
- Robert (8/5): Great stay for two nights. Pahia beach across the road - Lovely clean unit. Nice surprise to find chocolate in the fridge with our milk. Comfortable bed, clean unit
- Sheldon (9/5): Oasis in Paihia - It was great to be able to walk to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds and walk to all the local restaurants in Paihia.
We also appreciated the plentiful supplies of washing liquid and dishwasher powder as well as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the bathroom.
The bed was comfortable, and we were able to leave the windows open at night because it was so peaceful. When you wrote about the facilities, you forgot to mention that there is an onsite laundry room downstairs in the building. If we had known that, we wouldn't have wasted our time visiting a laundromat.
The TV was very small and not in a very good position to watch. None of the page channels worked. It would be great to have it installed on the wall.
- Peter (9/5): - Starter pack
- Shannon (8/5): Apartment was exceptionally lovely really enjoyed my weekend! - Was very cozy shower pressure was amazing mostly clean apartment didnt want to leave tbh I was only given two bath towels for a stay of two nights which i was abit bummed and i thought the cleaners were going to come through on Saturday to refresh our towels. And also the wifi password didn’t work as it said it was expired. I found a hand towel left under the bed from someone else and was full of dust so maybe under the bed needs a good vacuum, tv could be bigger or in a different spot
- Lana (10/5): - Clean and everything we needed
- Clinton (10/5): -
- Denis (7/5): Good - Water and chocolate supplied, Size of tv and lack of movie channels.
TV bedroom not working
- Candice (9/5): Superb - Just beautiful
- Tessa (9/5): Made our holiday more enjoyable - Everything
Bed really comfy
Apartment spotless
Kitchen great
Awesome touches like chocolate and milk
Comfy couch Nothing
- Jonny (8/5): Quiet self sustained apartment handy with all facilities - Location and ease of stay. Quiet and convenient No issues
- Pillay (10/5): Exceptional - There was power shortage because of storm . So I had to leave next morning No candles
- Mahendra (9/5): Superb - Excellent Location Cooking restrictions
- Benson (10/5): Great Value, great location - A very easy stroll along the beach into the main part of Paihia. Apartment is great, but TV is rather small, but doesn't look like the space where it is situated could hold a larger one.
- Jim (8/5): Very good - Located next to Vehicle Service Station that started vehicle repair on day1 very early ... woke us. Toilet full flush did not operate so multiple toilet flush was required wasting our time and owners water.
- Claire (8/5): Refreshing, did the Kawakawa train ride, very enjoyable. - Love Paihia, great location. Mark enjoyed the beach so close for early morning swim! The view was obscured by a motor garage. The price probably why. Could see native bush and peep of the sea.
- Katarina (10/5): Perfect location and very clean and comfortable - Had everything needed
The bottles of water and chocolate in the fridge was a nice touch
- Dianne (8/5): Great stay, close enough to walk wherever. - Location / not a sea view from all rooms but beach is across the road.
- Robin (8/5): Great stay, would come again and recommend to others - Had all the facilities we needed for our short stay. Great location, lovely and clean, nice facilities. Noisy neighbours from other buildings ( not in same complex) , both mornings had travel groups departing early morning around 6am congregating outside with noise travels
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robertson (9/5): Excellent value for money, beautiful spot in Paihia — will definitely be back! - Such a great location — right opposite the beach, so had a quick dip in the water each morning, if was wonderful. The accommodation was lovely & cosy, very spacious, clean, carpet was great, and the linen was lovely. I loved the special touch of bottled water & chocolate in the fridge. There’s not much I can fault in this property! We had a wonderful stay.
- Caroline (8/5): Great base, reasonable value for Paihia, everything you need - Location, very clean, good access via lockbox
Nice extra touches ( Whiitaker’s chocolate)
Comfortable bed, bedroom on quiet side of property, good pressure shower, 2 mins walk from beach Shower door needs adjusting
No problem that outdoor area looks directly onto back area of garage (plenty of info
In reviews). However, it did mean I avoided using that area
- Russell (9/5): Superb -
- Graham (8/5): Very good - Comfortable and functional rooms. We had no need of the kitchen use for our 2 night stay. Real milk and some chocolate in the fridge were nice touches. No great views from the apartments unless you faced the stunning sea vistas.
- John (8/5): Met our needs for our stay. - Location to beach Noise from other apartments
- Rasmussen (5/5): Passable -
- Wendy (8/5): Location, Location, Location! - Excellent location.
Helpful property manager
Very clean
Easy to check in with clear instructions and lock box. No sea view.
The Booking.com website is misleading as it advertises the Heritage units, this unit is not part of Heritage it is a stand alone air bnb.
- Linda (8/5): Great option for Paihia - Great location. Well equipped unit. Walking distance to Woolworths.
Chocolate treat was appreciated. No sea view from unit but sea is only a few metres away.
- Green (5/5): Disappointed with no view. - Location was great but most of the apartments overlook the back of the gas station and there are no water views Overlooking the garage next door with zero water views
- Julie (10/5): Had a great time in Paihia. Accommodation was excellent. Would highly recommend. - Property had everything we needed and more. Very comfortable bed. Was very clean and tidy. Handy location. We booked a bus tour and got picked up from outside our location.
- Simon (9/5): Lovely accommodation in s lovely resort - Very thoughtfully set out apartment. There was everything you needed. Everything was very clean and tidy. The bed was super comfortable. The location was great..right on the beach front with walking distance of restaurants and booking offices. The host had even left a bar of chocolate in the fridge to welcome us. There was nothing not to like.
- Jennifer (7/5): Good - Location was great No fan or AC in the bedroom.
- Simon (8/5): Very good -
- Cecilia (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. The staff responded immediately to a wifi concern. Would highly recommend it.
- Anzar (9/5): Felt easy, no hassles - Convenient location, clean and tidy, easy to access, great communication from host.
- Marlene (4/5): Ma time... - I liked that we were across from the beach and close to the shop and not too far to walk to the township. The place was very tidy and homely. I also liked that it had a stereo. The key was in a small box when we arrived, so we didn't have to go through reception, which was great. Also had complementary chocolate and 2 bottles of water in the fridge, which I thought was nice. The bed was comfy as. I was a bit disappointed as I thought we were going into one of the front units, which had the beach view, but we ended up in a back unit. I actually booked it for my partners 50th birthday. The view from the sliding door was the back of the gas station, which had a heap of junk along the wall , not a nice sight. The view outside the bedroom window was the neighbor's house and deck, so we kept the curtains closed for privacy. The TV in the room looked old and wasn't working properly. The TV in the lounge had skye, but even that wasn't the best. Would I go back? Sure, but next time, I'd like to go in one of the front units.
- Laura (7/5): Paihia Beach Apartments - The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities of the unit itself were very good. Overall the unit was pretty good. However the advertisement for the unit was a little misleading. Although the unit was a good price so perhaps this was a case of getting what you paid for. I was expecting a second level apartment that overlooked the water. Our particular apartment overlooked a mechanical-business next door and the way the apartments are designed our lounge and 'patio' faced the thoroughfare so mechanic-workers, cleaners, staff and other guests regularly walked past meaning there was not a great deal of privacy. If you wanted to have the window shades open (to enjoy the partial view of the hills) you were on display to everyone. Also, there was maintainance in the form of high-presure cleaning going on on the first day of our visit. It was very noisy, carried on for a good part of the day and once workers were on our patio roof and in the vacinity of the front of our unit for an extended period of time. One tried to gain access to our unit while we were inside. While we completely understand that maintenance works need to be conducted it would have been nice to be notified that this would be happening during our stay.
- Janie (8/5): Great stay Thanks - Very nice unit. Clean and convenient. Noisy neighbors party hearty.
Nosy neighbors looking in door
- Philgraydesign (9/5): Superb - Paihia is a really nice place to visit. The accommodation was great with separate living and bedroom. Everything clean and tidy. I had the assumption that all booking.com were essentially hotel bookings. We didn't know this was more like an air bnb. We arrived at reception to be told, we don't manage that room - you should have a code for a lock box.
- Derek (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (8/5): Amazing just, great property good value - Clean, tidy, coffee machine, good attention to detail, great host very helpful No sea view
- Brieana (8/5): Very good -
- Terence (9/5): Superb -
- Purehu (10/5): Three nights on Te Tī beach - The location and hosts.
- Todor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kitty (8/5): Very good -
- Taka (10/5): I so will stay here again - The whole thing was amazing Non
- Robert (8/5): We enjoyed our time there -
- Deborah (5/5): I knew what to expect as I had read the reviews. - I really liked the location across from the beach and it was in walking distance of the Waitangi Treaty Grounds also another point next to the petrol stations theres a diary and cafe, around corner fish and chips. I appreciated the milk and chocolate, water that were left for us in the fridge that was a lovely gesture. The smell of the garage/petrol station next door was strong at times and the staining on the carpet and appliances were off putting. The toilet had a non working button and didn't full flush correctly. I think the apartment could use a refresh update as the tv in the bedroom was pretty useless.
- Katy (6/5): Good location on the waters edge - The apartment was a 15 min leisurely stroll from the pier, where you catch the ferry to Russel or meet for other boating adventures. It was close to countdown (the grocery store) and had a good coffee and fish and chip shop next door. The apartment has a dishwasher. There was no clothes washing facilities (or if there was we didn't see it). The apartment was in need of some repairs, at least three light bulbs were blown, aircon remote batteries were low and there was some general wear and tear on the furniture. The petrol station is right next door, so the view was poor but it was not loud when all the windows were closed.
- Amanda (6/5): Beautiful area but probably would not stay at same accommodation again - Close to restaurants and shops A bit dated.
- Robert (10/5): Brilliant & a big thank you to the hosts 👌👍 - Ideal for our requirements & lovely location at a very competitive price compared to similar properties The only negative was the outlook over the next door garage but we knew that before we booked so it wasn’t a problem the sunset from the balcony more than made up for it xxx
- Laura (9/5): Superb -
- Katherine (8/5): For the time we were there this was a great place to stay - Close to water Nothing really
- Dannielle (7/5): Good -
- Carol (3/5): 1 really didn't go to paihia to have a view of a mechanics backyard. Very disappointed. -
