• Viktor Andriievskyi (10/5): Great experience, happy guest :) - Great hostel, comfortable, very clean, would definitely recommend it to anyone. Calm area, well localised, easy to reach the main districts of Tokyo. If there is any trash in the common areas, it's only because guests are not cleaning up after themselves. The staff is welcoming and keeps the hostel clean.

• Joanna (10/5): - This is a very comfortable, clean and well-thought-out hostel. There's a shelf, a locker, and even a mirror by the bed. The shower was also very convenient. I also liked the location. Everything was great :)

• Nikola (2/5): Bad smell in a hostel. - Staff was very nice and professional. Location was also great, near nice neighborhood and near a metro station. Ok now the bad stuff. Trust me, I'm not someone who gives low ratings easily, I think this is my very first low rating in 4 years I've been on booking, and it's especially difficult because staff was so nice But guys, when you get sheets to put on your bed when you check in. You get one for your pillow, which is like a pouch you know, you put the entire pillow in it, like you're supposed to. Then you should get the same thing for your comforter. Like for a pillow, only bigger, a bigger "pouch sheet", where you should put your entire comforter. But no, you get just a sheet. Just like a sheet that you put on your mattress. So I'm supposed to put that sheet on the mattress, and another on top of me, and on top of that sheet goes a comforter! I asked them about it, they said "oh no, that comforter already has a cover" that is bull crap. That comforter does not feel clean at all. Everybody knows that great feeling when you get clean sheets, it's the nicest feeling. That comforter feels STICKY. Yuck 🤮 ! And the smell, the smell in the hostel was awful. And I was in a bunch of hostels and hotels, I'm not some clean freak. The smell inside was like ... Imagine when people don't change their socks, and the hostel room was full of filthy socks. That's how it smelled. Only I know what it comes from, my guess is it's from those disgusting beds and comforters. I thought maybe it's just that one night. Tomorrow morning they were cleaning the room and opened the window. I thought ok fresh air Is going to come In, it was just that one night. NOPE. Came back tomorrow night after being all day out, and it was disgusting. It was a smell where you don't get adjusted to it after being there for a couple of hours, you feel it tomorrow morning as well when you wake up.
• Sven (9/5): - Fijne locatie met veel metrolijnen binnen 1km van het hostel, comfortabele bedden en goede douche. Rustige wijk dus perfect als je niet midden in de drukte van Tokio wil zitten, maar wel alles binnen handbereik wil hebben. De gemeenschappelijke ruimte was niet heel uitnodigend om te gaan zitten
• Christie (9/5): COLD AC!!! - Great value for the location and comfort. Out of all the hostels I’ve stayed at so far, this one actually had cold AC! The facilities were clean, and my pod was spacious enough to fit my bag and other belongings comfortably. They clearly put a lot of thought into making things convenient for guests i.e. from the extra rack in the shower for toiletries, to the mirror inside the pod for doing makeup, plus a shelf and a small lockable cabinet for storing valuables. They even provided a towel :) Overall, I’d definitely recommend this hostel.

• YUKA (8/5): 安くて便利！ - アクセスがいいのに、安い！ドミトリーで期待してなかったけど、期待以上に綺麗で快適でした。外国人ばかりでしたが利用者の質も良かったです。夜は少し暗いですが裏手にコンビニもありました。最寄りの溜池山王駅もすぐ。赤坂駅もすぐでした。 思いつく良くなかった点は、ドミトリーなのでしょうがないことばかりです。 運もあると思いますが、同室者のマナーが悪ければ大変かもしれないです。３泊しましたが、私は全く何も気になりませんでした！ 夜は少し周りが暗いです！ 唯一あるとすると、洗面所にティッシュくらいは欲しかったです！

• Edwin (8/5): A Value for Money in Akasaka - The place is nearby to metro stations, you just need to choose which metro station line you are going to take. Walkable to many restaurants and fast food and convenience store. I really like the cleanliness of the place and it is organised. It is really a good value for money. I am a little bit struggling in turning on the light. The switch is located at the other side of the bed. You just need to climb up or get inside the capsule unit to turn it off/on the light. It is much better if there is a switch both on the sides of the capsule unit.

• CHAIYUT (9/5): - Location, location and location. Facilities and amenities are functioal and good enough. Lounge area is fine. Some guests were not really considerate to others. They still keep packing their baggages with disturbing noises, even after 11 p.m. or midnight, which hostel rules suggest to keep calm!!

• György (3/5): - The location was good and the bathroom was clean. The staff was helpful. I cannot blame myself enough how I could book this overpriced hostel. Either booking or the hostel pushed up the price, but it was 50 euro per night. I slept with 15 people in a room without any air in the room. For this money I could go to a Hotel which i also did. 16 people in a tiny room is not okay. 1 toilet for Men and 1 for Women. I slept in many hostels in my life but this was the worst price/value ratio.

• Forsyth (8/5): Great stay in small but cosy capsule space, very worth the money. - Really good capsule style hostel, great value for money as the little bed actually had lots of space. Just having a cupboard and shelves to store my stuff in made all the difference in actually being able to relax. Good sink and shower amounts for the size of the room. Nice downstairs seating space. Luggage storage space in rooms was more than adequate for my many bags, I wish this had been advertised as it was a worry for me before checking in. Not much kitchen room for a hostel, especially having nowhere to store food except the fridge - so definitely not ideal if you wanted to make food beyond microwaving. Not sure why the single cubicle toilets on the bedroom floors needed to be separately gendered? Just made it more inconvenient to use as there were lots of other men staying and they were private anyway.

• Yana (7/5): Quiet, clean, convenient - Location is brilliant More of a quiet location but super accessible to the hot spots in Tokyo via the train (stations close to the hostel) Free umbrellas to use for when it’s raining which came in handy Super clean and nice private bunk beds which are fit with a mirror and little shelf which was a super nice touch. Also fit with a personal lockable cupboard in your bed too for your valuables Lots of hooks and hangers in your bed too which was ideal Only one shower on the floor which had no ventilation so when I used it after someone it was so hot and stuffy in there . Thankfully the shower room was nice and clean though Not the most social hostel as there’s not necessarily a social area The downstairs area was mainly used for working, eating or personal calls and stuff so for a solo traveller it’s not the most social place.

The hostel itself has a nice atmosphere and decor. The staff are helpful with answering questions. There are many restaurants and bars nearby, as well as convenience stores.

• Louisiana Annamaria (10/5): Amazing place to stay in Akasaka. - During my holiday in Japan I stayed at this place twice (this is how much I liked it). Great location (walking distance from Tokyo tower), around there are so many places to eat at - even one for puffer fish if you’d like to try. Maybe the fact that is of 4 floors and that can be a bit of a struggle with the luggage but absolutely doable.
• Louisiana Annamaria (10/5): Great stay - The hostel is very well located and easy to get to many places (walking distance from Tokyo tower for instance). In addition, it is very clean. Staff are working hard to keep everything clean and functional for the guests. There isn’t much to dislike, maybe when you have bags the fact that you need to drag them up to 4th floor could be an issue, but not a huge one.

• Jason (8/5): - It is comfortable, decent price and good location. Here were a lot of plugs, if you needed them. Rudeness of other guests talking and having loud alarms going off. Someone who snores can be annoying but they can't help it. The people having their larms going off for 20 minutes, talking with a friend or partner early when others are sleeping is just rude to the others in the room. The room was a little stuffy at times but wasn't too bad.
• uri (8/5): - The staff is very friendly, there is a nice small kitchen you can cook there, and you can use the washing machine with free detergent. The beds were also very comfy and each unit was quite big the a big locker I don't like the concept of putting my own sheets for the bed but it's ok

• Duncan (10/5): Amazing hostel and staff! - This is my second time staying here. The staff cultivate such a social, comfortable vibe. I meet such cool people every time I stay here. I wouldn't look farther than Akasaka Guesthouse, this is a top tier hostel!! Nothing :)

• Mirja (7/5): Sehr gut, auch für Aufenthalt über einer Woche - Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich, Küche und Toilette sund recht sauber und Betten sind groß und gemütlich Es war stickig im Raum, aber in den Betten mit geschlossenem Vorhang ist es okay. Die gemeinschaftlichen Waschbecken wurden von anderen Gästen oft dreckig hinterlassen.
