• SeanDoc79 (9/5): Great stay! - Great location, comfortable little cottage with everything you need for a lovely stay. Bed was comfy and AC worked a treat in the Hiri heat. Would have liked a separate basin for the toilet and shower area for brushing of teeth and make up removal.
• Luna (10/5): Heel knus en gezellig huisje op een toplocatie dichtbij het strand! - Heerlijk plekje op een toplocatie (5 min loopafstand van Hiriketiya beach). Het huisje is gezellig ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien, heel knus! Ik dacht eerst dat ik het niet zo fijn zou vinden om buiten te douchen, maar dat is met de hitte die wij hadden juist heel lekker en handig met al het zeewater en zand.

Of course bu - Locations awesome, cabin is a real feel if you’re after a Sri Lankan beach/jungle style cabin. Something really different! Loved watching the monkeys every day in the trees! For a surfer you’re in an awesome location literally 3-5 mins walk to the wedge of Hiriketiya bay. Genuinely really cool experience would stay again! Andy the host was a legend and at hand for anything we needed, even dropped our luggage to our next hotel in Hiriketiya (we wanted to extend last min but no availability) Nothing that stood out! We had some construction work going on one evening late, a few wild dogs barking, but that’s not the owners, the property, or location fault. Just Sri Lanka being Sri Lanka 🤣

• Flo from Cologne (10/5): Einfach perfekt! - Wir hatten die absolute perfekte Unterkunft für unseren mehrtägigen Aufenthalt in Hiriketiya. Zunächst einmal ist wirklich alles so, wie auf den Bildern, was schon mal sehr gut ist. Des Weiteren ist die Cabin ruhig gelegen, sehr sauber und es war alles da, was man im Zweifel brauchte. Und dass man für das "Badezimmer" quasi durch die Hintertür raus musste, hat auch absolut Charme. Zudem war der hiesige Strand vielleicht 3 Minuten entfernt (auch wenn wir lieber 5 Minuten mit dem Tuk Tuk zum wirklich schönen, weil entspannteren Dikwella Beach gefahren sind - das ist aber Geschmacksache). Und die vielen leckeren Restaurants waren auch fußläufig zu erreichen. Alles in allem hatten wir also einen total schönen und gechillten Aufenthalt, was aber nicht zuletzt auch an Andy dem Host lag, der immer erreichbar war und zudem auch noch ein ganz feiner Mensch ist. Deshalb klare Empfehlung!!!

I surf and it’s like 1 1/2 minutes from the only beach that matters for an advanced surfer or two minutes for beginners. The cabin was my sanctuary for 10 days. Functioning Kitchen. I am a chef and loved everything about the place.

• Lisa (5/5): Misschien leuk voor kort verblijf maar houd rekening met lawaai en weinig privacy - Fijn bed, leuk aangeklede cabin. Van alle gemakken voorzien en op loopafstand van restaurants en de zee. Door de regen naar het toilet en de douche. Ja het is buiten, maar een overdekte toegang zou wel erg fijn zijn. Daarnaast hebben we 2x oogcontact gehad met mensen bij de buren die ons leken te begluren. Niet echt fijn als je ‘s avonds wil gaan douchen en hoopt dat je niet gezien wordt. Geen wastafel met spiegel dus onmogelijk om te scheren. Veel lawaai rondom de cabin: we waren hier 3 nachten en hadden op een iets rustiger verblijf gehoopt. De eerste dag veel overlast van bouw bij de buren gehad, diezelfde avond tot na middernacht dichtbij een feest. De avond erna veel vuurwerk. Onpersoonlijk contact met de eigenaar. Geld moest digitaal overgemaakt worden en we hebben niemand gezien om te vragen of alles goed was. De aanbevelingen van de eigenaar zijn niet goed. Het tuktuk-telefoonnummer bleek een chauffeur te zijn die alleen een auto rijdt (en veel te veel vraagt) en de laundry service-tip was ook slecht. Onze kleding is half gewassen terug gekomen met veel te veel wasverzachter. Ook misten meerdere sokken. Waarom beveel je zo’n bedrijf aan aan je gasten?

• Ashleigh (10/5): Our favourite stay of our whole trip! - Location - 3 min walk from the beach, private parking, so secluded - our own mini home, clean, comfortable and well designed. Check in was easy! Perfect! We loved everything!
• Myhra (10/5): - Accommodatie was super fijn! Ruim, alles wat je nodig hebt en fijn bed. Dichtbij het strand en het centrum. Heerlijk even wat privacy en ruimte voor onszelf te hebben tijdens onze reis. De eigenaar is ook super aardig :).

• Kieran (8/5): Stylish little cabin situated down a quiet beach front road a few minutes walk from the centre of Hiriketiya. - Tastefully presented little cabin with everything you need, located a 2 minute walk from the beach and bars. The host Andy was very friendly and welcoming and even let us check in early when we got our timings all wrong! The WC and shower are detached to the rear of the cabin which get very hot in the sun! Very well equipped in general but could do with a mirror above this sink.

Would recommend. - - Great location, near to the beach. - Air con and fans worked well and kept us cool. - Had everything you needed for a short stay. - Nice aesthetic. - Outside toilet and shower might not be for everyone but absolutely fine for a short stay.
• Benjamin (10/5): Fantastic cabin within ministers of everything you need - The location was ideal as it was within minutes of everything you need. Andy the host was great. He was super responsive and accommodating. The cabin was kept super clean and felt very secure. I would certainly stay here again.
• Louise (10/5): A secluded beautiful spot, at the beach and in the wilderness: for those who want something quiet and special! - What a GREAT spot ! I am SO pleased that the original place I stayed for two nights was booked up for the second part of my stay in Hiriketiya because Coconut Cabin is a real hidden gem and an absolute FIND. It is so beautifully designed inside and out, and you really feel out of your own at night there, in a good way, as it is far enough away from the hustle and bustle to really get a sense of being in the jungle. That said, it is only a 4 minute walk to the beach and my favourite beach bar in Hiriketiya : the Ruin. I got quite a routine going with my morning yoga and then hanging out at the beach. I could imagine staying at the cabin for a fair bit longer and really settling in to Hiriketiya life. It was much more like having a home than a guest house. You do get to see quite a bit of wildlife including lizards and other bugs as well as the monkey troupe (about 12 monkeys) visiting to show you who is boss. I also acquired a temporary dog who liked to come and see me first thing in the mornings. If you can’t handle a wee lizard in your shower then this isn’t the place for you, but I LOVED the outdoor shower and bathroom. It was just perfect and you are so secluded so it’s fun showering outside! Having a little kitchen and a fridge was ideal. I didn’t cook but it was good to have snacks and water, and I would have done some cooking so had I been there longer. Thank you to Andy, the owner, who is very friendly and able to give top tips to anyone wanting to explore. I really adored this cabin and couldn’t fault a thing. I would like to come back!

• Max (10/5): Best accomodation in Sri Lanka so far! - Probably the best accomodation we stayed at in Sri Lanka so far. The cabin is spacious and really clean with a big private garden around the property where you can enjoy your morning coffee. The kitchen has everything you need including fridge and even small stove (though did not used it). Its located in a quiet street with a 1 minute walk from Hirikiteya beach and nearby beach restaurants. When you are at the cabin you feel like you are in the middle of the nature (we saw different kind of monkeys and animals in our trees in the garden) and really feels like the best place to retreat after busy day at the beach, surfing and dining at one of the nearby restaurants. And owner Andy very helpfull and nice and can ask him everything if questions. NOTHING

The place was spotless, so beautifully decorated, location was perfect just a minute walk from the beach (the eastern end by Ruin bar), quiet, private, and surrounded by nature (monkeys in the garden!). Andy was super helpful with check in and provided us with some advice regarding our onward travel. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal. The shower and toilet are right outside the property with ample lighting for evening/nighttime and one of the best showers we had in Sri Lanka! Nothing!

• Jon (10/5): Awesome cabin in superb location - good value. - Brilliant Location, just 2 minutes from Hiriketiya beach, lovely cute little cabin with fridge/ outside toilet & shower and nice terrace/garden. Andy was a legend & super smooth from start to finish- even sorted our laundry out & left water & snacks. Hangers for clothes, big fridge, kitchen & next door neighbour is a tuk tuk driver! Be warned it’s extremely hot due to nature of property (cabin with no A/C) and it’s very hot in Hiri! Bed a little cramped with mosquito net.

Close to (100m) very vibrant beach and great surf spot, lots of restaurants and parties, but when you are in need of quiet, its just 100m away. The cabin is stylish and clean with a private garden. Beautiful kitchen for light cooking. Easy to communicate with Andy, he really makes an effort to help with everything you need. Highly recommended to have a great holiday in Hiriketiya. All was perfect

His place is spotless and such a little haven of peace and quiet while still being close enough to all that Hiriketiya has to offer. Amazing 10/10 ❤️
