Murat (9/5): A pleasant stay in Alexandria - Modern and comfortable room. It’s spacious too. Bathroom is great and spotlessly clean though. Staff is very friendly and trying to achieve the best service quality. Breakfast is good but needs minor improvements. Walking from car park to hotel entrance is a bit long distance. Background music in the restaurant area is too loud. Variety of bread is limited and breads are not fresh, they all are contains preservative chemicals. A freshly made tandoori bread would be great. Some kinds of foods getting dry during being served for hours so serving those foods little by little frequently would keep them fresh.

On check-out, however, we were at the counter waiting for service and were ignored while staff dealt with someone who was apparently more important. And we waited and watched - it was at least 15 or 20 minutes before we were served.

Farida (5/5): Everything was good except for the poor sleeping quality due to the loud music. - Everything was very clean There was one major issue during our stay: the DJ downstairs was extremely loud and disturbed our sleep throughout the entire stay. We asked several times for the volume to be lowered, but unfortunately nothing changed. This significantly affected our overall experience.

The staff was very friendly, and I especially want to thank Menna, Rewan, and Osama Mounier for their outstanding service and support. We got a free welcome drink at the reception, even though we arrived at 2:30 a.m. in the middle of the night. That was a really nice touch! The falafels at breakfast were freshly fried, outstanding! Sauna is NOT included; you have to pay extra. Pool opening hours are limited. Breakfast is really nice! Really good variety of cold and hot food! As a vegan, it was a good breakfast. As a recommendation: Labels for vegetarian and vegan food would be great! Also, one vegan bread spread, like paprika, would be nice.

Since I booked without meals, I didn’t try the food, but everything else exceeded my expectations. - I had a great experience staying at this hotel in Alexandria. The place is very comfortable, clean, and has a relaxing atmosphere that made my stay really enjoyable. I would especially like to highlight two staff members who made a real difference — Marwan and Rawan from the reception. They were extremely polite, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Their attitude truly reflects great hospitality. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I would definitely come back again. Highly recommended! Honestly, nothing major. Everything was great, but a bit more variety in the restaurant menu would make the experience even better.

ALFAISAL (7/5): لا انصح في وله يصلح للعوائل المحافضه - طاقم العمل والموظفين جداً متعاونين، محترمين وودودين الموقع سيء وزحمه جداً، الموقف بالنسبة لفندق 5 نجوم كانت مشتركة وعليها رسوم لليوم ولا يوجد مظلات للسيارت والموقف بعيد ليس امام باب الفندق مباشرة. بعض الغرف مطله على المسبح وهو نادي للسباحة ليس له علاقة بالفندق (نادي سموحة) الاصوات مزعجه وتحس بعدم الخصوصيه والراحة، الستائر ليس جيدة ولا تغطي كامل النوافذ. اللوبي سيء مليئ بالمدخنين ولا يصلح للعوائل المحافظة، لابد من المرور أمام المدخنين للعبور إلى المصعد.. بالنسبه لتفاصيل الغرفه ماكينة القهوة كانت عاطله وتسرب القهوه. لم يتم توفير سجادة الصلاة إلا عند الطلب، بالنسبة للنظافة بشكل عام لم تكن مريحة، دفع المياه في الحمام كان ضعيفًا، وعدة الحمام لم تكن متوفره كفندق مصنف بخمس نجوم بشكل كامل مثل فرشاة الأسنان.. الخ. الفوط كانت نوعًا ما غير نظيفة. تقييمي له 5/10 وبالنسبة للسعر مقابل الخدمات عالية جدًا الشكل في بوكينق مختلف جداً عن الواقع

Alan (1/5): Awful. Ruined my stay in Alexandria. - The breakfast buffet is OK. The hotel decor is nice. Bed mattresses were awful. No support, might as well have been stuffed with straw. Restaurant staff were sarcastic to my travel buddy which really caused dramas and spoilt the whole day. Trying to get served in the restaurant is bad. The staff, plenty of them, ignoring us and just chatting or arguing amongst themselves. Harrassed by restaurant staff as to was I an IHG guest and my room number. Kept harrassing me even while I was eating my meal. (I had this same nonsense when I stayed at IHG's Dead Sea resort. Seems to be a tend). Restaurant is next to terrace, where in the evenings it becomes very loud music. So its like eating dinner in the middle of a night club. Unstocked mini-fridge. They wouldn't stock it. Restaurant brought me wrong order, then challenged me to show them on the menu where the item was that I said I had ordered. (Of course, I was able to show them. But no apology for their mistake or rudeness).

George (1/5): This hotel seems to cater mainly to wedding events and guests, making it unsuitable for regular guests who are looking t - Location only Our recent two-week stay at the Crowne Plaza Alexandria was, unfortunately, a deeply disappointing experience. While we visited during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday and expected a premium experience given the significantly inflated room rates, the reality fell far short of the price point. The Major Issues: • Relentless Noise: The hotel was booked with weddings every single day. The constant sound of drums, loud music, and photography sessions in the guest corridors made it impossible to sleep or rest. • Constant Relocation: Due to the disturbances, we were forced to change our rooms three times during our stay, which was incredibly inconvenient. • Retaliatory Service: The most upsetting part of our stay was the shift in service after I filed a formal complaint with IHG. The front desk staff became visibly aggressive; their body language was tense, and I was met with coldness instead of a professional smile. • Kitchen Disruption: We also experienced what felt like "revenge" from the kitchen staff. Orders began arriving cold and without plates. When questioned, a staff member claimed the microwave was broken—an excuse that was retracted and corrected only after I pushed back. It is unacceptable for a guest to be treated with hostility for raising legitimate concerns about their stay. Given the lack of comfort and the unprofessional attitude of the staff following our complaint, we believe a formal apology and significant compensation are necessary to address this experience.

Kevin (8/5): - Super propre et très bon emplacement. Pas très loin de la gare de train. Petit déjeuner avec beaucoup de choix. Rewan à la réception le jour du check out à été très agréable. Abanoed et Ahmed nous ont aussi très bien accueilli, ils sont souriant et avec beaucoup d'humour. Nous sommes arrivés à 17h00 et notre chambre n'était pas prête. On nous à dit d'attendre 10 minutes mais finalement nous avons attendu 1h dans le hall d'entrée. Nous étions 3 dans la chambre et nous n'avions que 2 verres, 2 serviettes, 2 bouteilles, ...

Fodio (6/5): - The booking and check-in process were smooth, and the room matched the description. The view was even more enjoyable than expected. However, the cleanliness fell below standard. On the first day, the bathroom had a noticeable smell of urine, with visible drips on the floor, indicating it had not been properly cleaned. I rinsed it myself using the bidet, assuming it would be thoroughly cleaned the next day. Unfortunately, the situation worsened. The cleaner arrived without proper equipment and used unused towels to clean both the toilet bowl and the floor. I requested a proper cleaning using a translator and also contacted the front desk to emphasize the need for disinfectant. Despite this, the cleaner initially returned only with an air freshener. I then went to the lobby to lodge a complaint. Mahmoud at the front desk was polite, apologetic, and responsive. He spoke with the head of housekeeping while I waited. When I returned to the room, the same cleaner came back—this time with cleaning supplies but with a visibly poor attitude. Disappointingly, he still did not properly use the products and seemed to carry them only because he was instructed to do so. Overall, I would rate my stay 3 out of 5, primarily due to the cleanliness issues. The staff were generally good, the room was comfortable, and the restaurant experience was excellent—but the hygiene problems significantly affected the experience.
