- Francesca (9/5): Superb - The house is lovely and comfortable. A very typical greek house made by stones and very well renovated. It is also very well equipped. In the kitchen you can find everything you need for cooking. The house is close to the vulcan and to Nikia village, but I suggest to rent a car to move around the island and to visit the other villages. Everything was perfect. I only suggest to rent a car because in Nikia village you cannot find any shops.
- Em (10/5): Exceptional - Nice place. The bedroom is sweet with the bed nook. The host supplied a selection of fruit and juice and biscuits, which was so lovely. I hiked to Avlaki every day, which is the most beautiful place. Hot springs, big volcanic rocks, concrete jetty for sunbaking. So special! The place is quite dark, which I can imagine is nice for the heat of Summer but i struggled to dry my swimmers/clothing. The patio pictured isn't really part of the property, it's around the corner. The town itself is sweet but tiny - only has the one restaurant and no shops. The restaurant was closed the entire time I stayed due to a wedding, and I hadn't planned food for my stay so I ended up having to walk to Emporios for a meal. Best to hire a car or e-bike or bring enough supplies as you can't rely on the town for buying stuff. Maybe this is obvious but I didn't know :')
- Stan (10/5): A real Greek Home in the heart of Nikea - This was an excellent base for exploring Nisyros from, and it's just a few minutes from the main square. We loved the well restored whitewashed apartment, it was actually larger than we were expecting. Plenty of cooking equipment in the kitchen and the owners were very helpful people. Very good value indeed. We counted 14 unused electric sockets! A washing-up bowl or simply a sink-hole plug would have helped us save water when washing up in the kitchen - so it's just a suggestion for a small improvement.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - If you are coming to Nisyros then this is the place to stay. We walked and drove every bit of the island and the village of Nikia is the place to stay, not only is it close to the caldera but there are two tavernas in the town square which makes eating out really easy. We also explored Emporios which is the other village near the caldera, there is a great restaurant there for dinner but the village needs to be rebuilt in parts and is not as perfect as Nikia. We took both apartments which are above each other, Irene was super helpful and on hand if we needed anything. If we were to come back to Nisyros there is no doubt that we would stay here again. Book it, you won’t regret it! Nothing
- Valerie (9/5): Superb - The location was beautiful. The house was old traditional Greek home which we loved. Our host was wonderful. She met us with the keys and was helpful with suggestions. Wanted to stay longer!!!!
