- Theo (8/5): Night time stars was special. - The hostess was super welcoming and friendly. The cottage was very cosy and nice. The kids loved it and they loved feeding the farm animals as well as the birds. Special moment was when we looked up at the clear night sky and there were loads of stars out; the kids hadn't seen that many stars before in their life so it was a nice moment. The lake was at low levels but that was expected given the time of year we went, but we still got a kayak out on the water for photos. Dusty and sandy when walking around but that is farm life for you.
- Amy (10/5): Perfect family getaway, relaxation with enough to do for the kids - Very well maintained
Access to farm animals, the dam and walking trails
Private cottage with beautiful views from the front porch and windows, great to watch the kids play whilst cooking dinner
Beautiful furnishings, linen and fire place to keep warm
Peaceful and quiet
Lovely owners who were friendly and informative.
Perfect for kids and families, small touches such as kids books and toys to make the kids feel very special and welcome. Maybe a small bbq/webber would be good
- Kevin (9/5): Superb - Great location away from the hustle. Friendly owners. Unfortunately, this was for work, and the second room has two single beds. This was on the listing, so I knew what to expect.
- Sarina (10/5): Feeling relax. - Tranquility, birds, sheep, trees, horses, the entire cottage, and cleanliness. Jonine was very welcoming, and her dogs were lovely. Also, thanks for the %100 organic eggs she gave us to save time from going to the grocery store. Regards, Sarina
- Jarrad (10/5): Just what we were looking for - Beautiful location, homely feel, very relaxing environment. We wanted to be away from society and noise, and this place was perfect for that. It was so quiet (besides the sheep and bird and wind in the trees, which were nice sounds to hear) and there was a lovely walk trail going from the house. It had everything we needed, we just did a food shop on our way there so we didn’t need to leave for 3 days. Nothing. It was great.
- Rita (10/5): We will tell our friends & family - Everything Nothing at All All Good
- Zhou (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cheong (10/5): Wonderful cottage to spend time away from the city. - Remoteness and quiet. Kids love feeding the ponies and kayaking at the lovely lake.
Host was very generous in providing sufficient towels, supplies and everything needed to make the stay comfortable, and showed us around the vegetable garden. Ample blueberries for picking, though we didn’t have much time for it. Wife loved the avocados that the host generously gifted.
Wild kangaroos, emus and bunnies aplenty in and around the property. Nothing. Everything was perfect.
- Geordy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (9/5): Escape to the country in style - Attention to detail, very welcoming. Comfortable cottage, loved the verandah and coffee machine. Great spot to go for hikes, feed the pony, catch fish in the dam or just relax on verandah reading a book and watching the view, sheep and birds. Lots of flying ants in bathroom. But this is minor and just this time of year thing.
- Michelle (9/5): Fantastic stay at Caringal in the Valley - We had a lovely getaway with our two grandson's. We really enjoyed the property and chatting to the owners who were so friendly. Would happily stay again! The gardens, views and lake are amazing. The kitchen had everything you could want. The house was super comfy just like a home away from home.
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah (10/5): Very relaxing and easy to connect with nature - Peaceful and quiet, easy access to walk trails, beautifully maintained property Hard to find anything to report.
- Bronwyn (10/5): Beautiful, secluded getaway. A blessing to find it. - Jonine met us on arrival and welcomed us to the farm, the house was private and lovely.
The firewood was set in the fireplace ready to warm the house.
Everything we needed was on hand. It was handy having the cordless vacuum to do a clean-up when we left as well.
We loved the carrots left for the kids to feed the horses and being able to top up the bird feeder and bird bath.
The morning sunrise was spectacular from the front verandah. Loved waking up and watching the sheep and horses grazing.
Such a perfect retreat in a beautiful area. Honestly, we thought it was lovely to stay there.
We have no issues with the house or property.
We were very happy, and we would stay there again any time we could.
We were in the area for a mountain bike event, so if anything I wish we could have stayed at the house and done some exploring and relaxing. So peaceful there.
The downside of finding these amazing gems is they soon become so busy that we can never rebook! :)
- Geraldine (10/5): A very comfortable, great couple of nights, wanted for nothing - A quiet piece of paradise just out of Boyanup
Lovely hosts Perfect, 10/10, nothing to not like!!!
- Nick (10/5): Excellent family holiday - This is an absolutely gorgeous little cottage, perfect for a young family. Jonine was an exceptional host, so welcoming and friendly but totaly unobtrusive. She made excellent recommendations and went above and beyond to make sure our trip was enjoyable.
We will definitely be back Longer stay next time
- Jemma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hoon (10/5): Lovely cottage close to nature - Tranquil, peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Wifi connection was really stable should you need to reconnect or check emails. Fireplace was warm and cosy in the chilly winter. Sheeps, ponies, chickens and ducks to feed and entertain the young ones. Fruits growing in the trees which can be picked (with owners' permission).
- Wei (10/5): Exceptional - My family and I like the clean and comfortable cottage, situated near nature. Heating is sufficient and we have no issues with chills as night. Owners are friendly and accommodating. Nil
- Kerry (10/5): Exceptional - All the lovely extra touches.
Soft furnishings so pretty. Fire laid ready. Bird feeder on the go. Felt so homely.
- Jill (10/5): Exactly what we needed and more - Originally planned to enjoy exploring on foot but damaged my ankle at home beforehand. It was still a great place to quietly recuperate while watching the antics of the sheep and birds from the verandah
- Katherine (10/5): A recharge in a beautiful location - very cosy, very tidy and very welcoming. Thoughtful touches appreciated too no issues
- Kálmán (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wessel (10/5): Peaceful breakaway - Beautiful, peaceful, private location. Walk trails just behind the cottage to escape and engage with the environment around. The cottage is completely kitted out with everything one might need for your stay. All you need to bring is food and clothing.
