• marcellinus (10/5): Zeer grote, comfortabele en nostalgische villa in het mooie Zamalek - De villa is direct aan de Nijl gelegen, slechts afgescheiden door een drukke weg en de laagbouw van een roeiclub. Het is de onderste verdieping van een woongebouw. De voordeur van de villa is aan de kant van de Nijl, te bereiken via een mooie tuin en een zeer groot eigen terras van ca. 20 x 5 meter. 's Avonds kun je er aangenaam zitten, kijkend naar de vele voorbijgangers. Voorbij de voordeur kom je in een grote salon en vervolgens in de nog grotere woonkamer. De kamer is mooi gedecoreerd met onder meer een open haard waarboven een nostalgisch schilderij van een chique dame. Overal hoge plafonds. Ook de oude deuren en kozijnen ademen de voorname sfeer van vroeger tijden. Hier moeten ooit chique mensen hebben gewoond. Er zijn drie zeer grote slaapkamers waarvan een met twee gescheiden bedden met comfortabele matrassen en kussens. Je hoort er het voorbijkomende verkeer goed, maar met Ohropax of andere oordopjes hoor je vrijwel niets meer. Bovendien is aan de achterkant van de villa nog een slaapkamer waar het sowieso stil is. Via de gang kom je in een grote badkamer met een royale wastafel, een kleine maar goed werkende douche en een wc. Zeep en shampoo aanwezig. Verderop is de gang is nog een wc en de keuken met onder meer gasfornuis en grote koelkast. Je bent er middenin Zamalek, een sfeervol, gezellig en betrekkelijk groen en rustig eiland in de Nijl in het hart van Cairo. Veel winkels (waaronder de prima supermarkt Metro) en restaurants op een paar minuten lopen, en een metrostation op ruim 10 minuten. Vandaar kom je gemakkelijk in een groot deel van Cairo. Vlakbij is ook Hotel Flamenco met een dagelijks geopende bar. De host is bijzonder vriendelijk, hulpvaardig en communicatief: hij antwoordt supersnel op al je vragen op het Booking.com platform. Voor Nederlanders nog extra handig: hij spreekt Nederlands.
• Evy (9/5): Geweldige week met vrienden gehad. - De locatie was ideaal voor ons, de communicatie met de verhuurder erg vlot en de staat& het comfort van het appartement was bovengemiddeld voor de wijk. De verhuurder spreekt ook Nederlands, da's misschien handig om te weten. Niets eigenlijk.
• Fatemh (10/5): موقع جميل - شقه على شارع ابو الفدا المكان موقعه بطل وتعامل صاحب الشقه جدا راقي وممكن يدخلكم قبل موعد تسجيل الدخول لو فاضيه تعامله مريح وسلسل حتى بالخروج الشقه كبيره 4 غرف فيها غساله اوتومتك وكذالك نشافها الشقه نظيفه والاثاث والمفارش نظيفه الشقه ع الشارع الي متعود ينام بهدوء صعب النوم كاني نايمه بالشارع الصوت كله عندك مافيه عزل ومافيه ستاير للغرف النور بالنهار قوي الحمام مع المروش واحد فقط وفيه حمام جنب المطبخ بدون مروش صغير الابواب تطلع صوت قوي لانها خشب مع زجاج لما تفتحها تصحي النايم من قوه الصوت

• Mahmoud (10/5): What a gem villa in Zamalek. Stylish and beautiful, will be coming back! - The location is incredible. It’s right by the Nile and there are amazing restaurants that are walkable. Being in Zamalek is also a great hit. The landlord was wonderful and all the staff. There is a beautiful garden too. It is extremely safe because there are security guards in surrounding government buildings. Nothing, it’s an amazing place.
