Guest Reviews
- John (10/5): Relaxing cottage retreat - The cottage was quiet and comfortable. It also offered all amenities needed. Additionally, the pond was very relaxing and scenic. N/A the stay was lovely.
- Travis (8/5): The garden alone would be a dream to have! Beautiful home too, road can get busy but soon get use to it and the pond wat - Host was very nice, called before we arrived and wished us a nice stay. Garden is beautiful, comfy beds/sofas etc great smart tv with all apps and channels, really nice kitchen with everything you could need, must recommend the local Chinese takeaway too! AMAZING home in a BEAUTIFUL setting. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Shower was lovely but VERY hot, hot and cold mixer did not seem to be working. Coffee machine leaks if you leave the water in.
With the property being dog friendly and also having a beautiful pond in the garden wooden flooring in the front room would be a lot more practical, we brought large blankets with us to put down on the carpet just for our own piece of mind as our four legged friend stayed with us.
Gardener (or previous occupants) had left garden shears laying in the shrub which could have been a hazard to our pup. But like any responsible parent I walked the garden before hand and checked it was all secure and safe.
We would HIGHLY recommend staying here, anything above did not affect our stay what so ever, would definitely stay here again, would love to live here!
- Andrew (9/5): Great bonding with my son in a place that we both enjoyed staying in! - Bathtub! Ladder to tree to sit in. Pond and trees. There was plenty of space for my son and I to be together, or to have space both in and outside the property. The dock is a great place to sit. Having close friends around for dinner, and the superb quality of my son's cooking. We enjoyed our stay! Road noise which unfortunately is unavoidable until Horringer has a bypass!
- Poornima (9/5): We had a wonderful experience in this home. Kathryn ensured we had everything for the stay. - The accommodation is private and peaceful. Main bedroom is close to traffic and can be noisy
- Emma (9/5): - Very quiet situation. Very comfortable house and very clean. Boiler was a little noisy.
- James (10/5): Really lovely cottage, perfect for a weekend break for couples. - Top quality finish to the cottage; furnishings, decor, location all fab
- Jan (8/5): Very good - Lovely, comfortable house. Very nicely decorated. The addition of the food treats and Christmas tree was a nice touch. The kitchen needs a couple of new frying pans. One was too heavy to lift and the other wasn't non-stick.
Noise from the traffic could be a problem in summer but as it was winter it didn't affect us too much.
The initial discription of the property that I saw led me to believe it has 2 bathrooms but reading again I think this must have been another property owned by the same people? A more defined description is needed I think as '2 bathrooms' was the reason I booked it. Having sais that, it wasn't a problem sharing a bathroom.
