Guest Reviews
- Guest (10/5): Fantastic - Spotless when we arrived. Beautiful setting with fields surrounding. Near the road for easy access to amenities but didn’t feel it and felt very tucked away. Spacious site. Facilities were incredibly clean and clearly well looked after. It’s camping so it’s going to be a compost toilet, however, was the king of compost toilets! Absolutely nothing
- isabel (9/5): - Es war ein sehr gek
- Leah (10/5): - Really lovely bell tent with comfy beds. Great location, really near to some excellent places. Friendly and helpful owners.
- Olga (10/5): - Loved our stay! It was super quite at night, there’s plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Even though we booked a half-furnished tent (Gracie), there was a camping table, stove and a box full of kitchen utensils/pots/plates waiting for us. The shower and toilet area is cleaned daily. We’ve never run out of hot water either. Would definitely recommend!
- Abi (10/5): Book now!!! - The set up here is outstanding! Peace, tranquility and absolutely everything has been thought of for what you might need whilst away with the little ones. This is our second visit to Trevena Cross Glamping and we will absolutely be booking and staying again!! 10/10, I recommend to everyone!! Leaving!
- Sezrah (9/5): - We are returning customers and stayed in the unfurnished bell tent again after enjoying our stay here last year. As non drivers it is easy to get to penzance and then the bus runs hourly and stops 2 minutes away from the camp site so pretty easy to find. It is a quiet campsite which was good, and the bell tent was nice and big for a family of 4, properly comfortable mattresses, we all had really good sleep. There was a table outside which was ideal for dining with our camping cooker we brought with us. The communal kitchen area was good for washing up and getting water from, as well as drying anything we needed on the washing line. The toilet facilities were good and the shower was also nice though one day it was freezing cold but I like cold showers so it wasn't really an issue for me. We were left to it and checking in and out was easy, the host saw us once but only because we were out most of the time but she was lovely and friendly and helpful if anyone needed to know anything about the area. There was a privacy screen between our tent and the other one which was nice. All in all it's a great little place to come and all of us will come back again next year as well as we like our stay here and hope it doesn't really change too much. The site is nicely lit with solar lights at night and if you've popped to the local pub and come back and it's dark and you don't have a torch it's still easy to see things. It isn't really anything the campsite can do but it has been so dry recently the grass got everywhere as it was dry, so I had to clean out the bell tent 2 or 3 times a day with the rubber brush of dry grass which drove me mad when the kids kept coming in and out but it was impossible to not get covered in grass so if you're staying here wear something that you can brush grass off easily. One evening the shower was freezing which I didn't mind but other people might not like. Again I'm sure this was a minor easy thing to fix and there are phone numbers around which you can call if you need help from the camp site owners which is a really handy thing.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Fantastic experience, the perfect mix of outdoors and comfort - Very friendly hosts, went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We didn’t realise that the Bessie tent had a private field, fire pit and toilet which was a bonus. The facilities are great and well maintained. However you couldn’t control the temperature on the shower, which was mostly fine. Extremely good value, wonderful location and a very well equipped tent. Would absolutely recommend and we would love to return next year. Bessie was the perfect mix of being outdoors while still feeling clean and comfortable, and the tent was very hardy against rain. One night it rained heavily and not a drop got in the tent. The campsite also has a children’s play area, complete with a playhouse, play kitchen and ball/racket games which is such a lovely little detail! Fab location, quiet but very close to local amenities (lovely beaches, walks, coffee shops, nice restaurants, multiple small towns and large supermarkets all within a 10 minute drive). Would highly recommend staying here!!
- Donna (10/5): A beautiful setting and relaxing stay. - The Bessie bell tent was wonderful and had a field to itself. We loved our holiday. The bunting and flowers were a lovely touch. The owners had thought of everything. N/A
- Rachel (10/5): Enjoyed every minute - Excellent location & having the field to yourself makes it feel special (with the added bunting at the entrance to field secluding it off) Very quiet. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side but didn’t affect the stay in anyway & the warm shower was great to be in when it was raining outside. Would be even better having the shower on the same field as the tent.
- Georgina (10/5): A relaxing break, in a perfect place to explore Cornwall. Quiet . A total two day recharge . - Bessie the bell tent was lovely.. well furnished and in its own field. Nothing not to like!
- Michael (9/5): Lovely place to stay. - Our tent, Bessie, was in a nice quiet location on a well thought out site. Everything that was needed was at the tent. Great location to access that area of Cornwall. Friendly local pub within an easy walk. Helpful owners. A very minor quibble only. The stove didn’t seem to be too efficient and the cooking set was maybe missing a larger pan for pasta.
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional - Was very welcoming, so peaceful as well. Caroline even brought us over a table. The children all played so lovely together. Definitely would stay again when we visit Cornwall The weather 🤣🤣
- Chamberlain (8/5): Very good -
- Hyea (8/5): Very good -
- Lauren (10/5): Absolutely brilliant, beautiful and clean, a wonderful place. - Beautiful, peaceful and walking distance to Breage village, we had the most wonderful couple of days here. This was our first time glamping as we usually camp, and the bell tent 'Annie' was very spacious, spotlessly clean and the beds supplied were really comfy. There is a lovely area for children to play and loads of space to spread out and run about. The facilities are great and the laid back and leave us to it approach is just what you need, it's a lovely relaxing space to enjoy with family. 5 minute walk to the pub too! Highly recommend, we will come back next year!
- Hannah (10/5): Amazing, will definitely be returning - Stunning location, clean, comfortablen just generally a beautiful place!! There’s nothing to not like!!
- Steve (10/5): Easy camping - Clean and comfortable tent with comfy beds, plenty equipment to make cooking easy and own toilet. Massive field, could park next to tent, shower and washing facilities a short walk away, and Caroline was lovely!! The only thing I can think is that the lovely bunting tied to the tent slapped against the tent quite loudly in the wind and kept me awake the first night - but this is pedantic of me! Everything else was great.
- Grace (5/5): Good location & lovely owner, but better facilities are needed. - The bell tent was lovely. Clean and dry (it rained a lot during the nights). It was close to the local village & bus route. The eco toilet. There was only one toilet for the entire site. Whilst it wasn’t busy while we were there, on the first night there was around 6 other tents so the toilet got blocked. It was sorted by the morning, but I really think more than one toilet & shower is needed for a site that size.
We stayed in the bell tent, and brought our own cooking equipment. There is no shelter to cook under though or wind breaks etc so difficult to cook in wind/rain.
- Chris (9/5): Superb - Lovely location nice and peaceful great selection of beds stayed 4 nights and everything was good little play spot for children next to tent with some games toilet and washing facilities were nice with a few nice touches Not a dislike but a suggestion would be a washing line near the tent to hang things there is one near toilet but to far to walk and keep am eye on clothing also there is a pan and brush in the tent but a longer handle brush would be better grass early gets into tent with 3 children so going on hands and knees to brush up isnt ideal a bit more lighting dotted about would be also better
- Tanaka (9/5): Great clamping experience - First time for glamping. Always punctual communication, well detailed guidance for what to expect. Very clean facilities, great space, tranquility, all were there. Not a complaint but just a suggestion. We are 4 people to stay but the number of chairs are for 2 people. It would be great if the number if chairs correspond to the number of people to stay.
- Moritz (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely beautiful! Stunning location and super relaxed atmosphere. We had a great stay from start to finish!
- Lewis (10/5): Great quiet stay - There was a storm for the first 2 days of our stay but we stayed completely warm and dry, its only a few minutes to porthleven where there are loads of great places to eat, each morning we would see loads of rabbits running around the field, the tent had a few bed options to choose from and a box of balls and rackets in the rec area, they even charged our power pack, really nice stay and everyone is lovely
