Guest Reviews
- Greig (9/5): First class accommodation in a lovely setting, perfect for exploring the Hebrides. Highly recommended. - It felt brand new, although we know there had been previous guests. The decor, furnishings, kitchen appliances and tools were first rate. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and we were allowed to enter early (which was a godsend as our ferry from Harris had been cancelled and we were very lucky to get on a smaller one, but it arrived early morning). The area was lovely, although quite remote, but as we brought a car and it was a touring holiday, this wasn’t a problem, we were able to get around easily so the remote location was actually a bonus. We really appreciated the welcome food basket, it was lovely! Nothing much to dislike to be honest, we loved it. Some minor quibbles, given in the spirit of possible improvements for the premises and future guests: the L shaped settee in the kitchen lounge area was comfortable, but would only seat 4 realistically, and there were 5 of us. I would have had two settees facing each other that you may have got 6 people in. The bedroom off the kitchen lounge had lovely white blinds, but they were very thin, and didn’t keep much light out. At the end of May it was daylight at 4:30am so a bit hard to sleep from what I’m used to. In the kitchen a bigger pot would have come in handy for we who like to cook, the tin opener didn’t work, so that will need to be replaced, and the last suggestion was to have some clingfilm and tinfoil, which would have been handy. Please don’t take any of this as a criticism, only helpful suggestions, we truly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.
