• MaryEllen (9/5): Great space. Great location. Great host. - The property was perfect for me and my girlfriend. We always look for two bedroom apartments, and sometimes it is difficult to find. This unit was clean, the layout was great. We were in the heart of everything happening. We were told about the noise level when we got there. Earplugs were provided, but both of us were so tired each night that we quickly fell asleep. We had a problem with the main door down on the street. Both evenings a wonderful Italian gentleman came to help us out.

• Joanne (9/5): Great location and a beautiful apartment! - The apartment is fantastic - everything you need for a short stay including beach blankets, fridge, and a lovely balcony for an aperatif! Of course the location is so good that you only have to walk a few metres for great wine and food anyway. Beppe was wonderful from start to finish, making sure we found it easily, and organising a late checkout and taxi back to the airport for us. We ate and drank at several of his recommendations over the weekend - all were excellent. The only reason I’ve rated it 9 instead of 10 is that due to the location on one of the main squares, above some bars, it can be noisy. However we came prepared with earplugs and slept like babies in the very comfortable bed. • Irina (10/5): Excellent place and excellent host - We had suit with the terrace, which has amazing view to the sea. I would suggest it to a family, not so much for friends group, since to go from one bedroom to the living room/terrace/kitchen you need to walk through another bedroom. Excellent location right in the center, among variety of restaurants and close to the shopping street. Exceptional service from the host: we received full info aout suits at the stage of booking, then were contacted right before the arrival with info regarding how we get to the place + agreement where we meet. At the place we were greeted by the host and received a lot of info regardingrestaurants / cafe / shopping in the area. We also head a minor issue with hot water during our stay which was solved within half an hour. Friendly, helpful and welcoming :) Totally recommend :) there is a small window in the first bedroom that is actually opening right to the neighbours balcony :D something to be aware of :)

• Martina (10/5): - The place is authentic, very interesting and beautiful. It is located on the top of the centre of old town Bari, plaza Mercantile. There are many restaurants and shops around. In the apartment there is good coffee, a fridge and very comfortable beds. WiFi was also fast and there was a comfortable terrace for the smokers. The place is huge guys! The host is excellent, definitely ask him for suggestions and listen to him, also he was very kind and cooperative during our stay. It was a great trip!

Obsługa w stałym kontakcie, pomocni i bardzo mili. Ok 15 minut pieszo do dworca PKP więc bardzo wygodny punkt do krótkich wycieczek Brak chociaż 2 talerzy żeby można było coś przekąsić, w opisie jest brak kuchni ale jest kącik kawowy więc dołożenie kilku talerzy i sztućców byłoby dużym ułatwieniem. Czystość ok ale w łazience były widoczne włosy po poprzednich lokatorach.

W apartamencie mieliśmy udostępnione wszystkie udogodnienia: wodą butelkowaną, kapsułki do pysznej kawy w ekspresie, herbatę. Kuchnia w pełni wyposażona i funkcjonalna. W czasie naszego tygodniowego pobytu apartament był w połowie pobytu sprzątany i wymieniono nam ręczniki. W apartamencie znajduje się pralka więc w razie potrzeby można zrobić niezbędne pranie. Apartament idealny dla rodziny z dziećmi. Dużo przestrzeni i taras z pięknym widokiem na morze. Lepszej lokalizacji na spacery po starym mieście nie mogliśmy sobie wymarzyć. Do dworca kolejowego było tylko 16 minut spacerem a z tamtąd można dojechać do wszystkich okolicznym miejscowości jak Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, Ostuni, Lecce. Bardzo pomocny i serdeczny opiekun kwatery Beppe służył nam wsparciem na każdym kroku; od polecenia pobliskich barów i restauracji po pomoc w zamówieniu taxi na lotnisko. Gorąco polecam.

• Marina (9/5): Ideale Lage, gute Ausstattung. - Giuseppe hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und war sehr hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist sehr zentral und ideal um die Alt- und Neutstadt von Bari zu entdecken. Wunderbare Terasse und gut eingerichtete Räume. Das hintere Zimmer gibt auf den zentralen Treppenaufgang. Dort hat es ein Gerät, das regelmässig an und aus geht. Mit geschlossenem Fenster aber zu ertragen.

• Anne-Marie (9/5): Een 5 daagse trip naar Bari en omgeving. - Ligging aan zee. Lekker ruim. Midden in het centrum. Schoon. Beppe stond direct voor ons klaar met van alles, hij reageerde direct op alle appjes. We voelden ons erg welkom! We waren met vier personen, dan zou het fijn zijn wanneer er vier comfortabele tuinstoelen zouden zijn ipv 3. Een iets gezelligere inrichting zou leuk zijn, maar dat is ook persoonlijke smaak. Wifi kon ook beter.
• Philip (10/5): Great location, spacious and comfortable apartment - Location was ideal - on the edge of the old town and close to the lungomare. Communication via WhatsApp was great and we were met at the apartment as previously agreed. Hosts provided recommendations for restaurants and places to go and all of those that we tried were very good. Complimentary bottled water and coffee / tea provided. Towels were changed and coffee pods replenished during our stay, which we didn’t expect. Nothing obvious that I can think of.

• Steve (10/5): Location, location, location - Upon arrival, we were met in the piazza by Luca who helped with our luggage and guided us to our room. We opted for the suite with a terrace which had a kitchen and washer. The place was spacious, beds comfortable and the terrace was a bonus. The best part was the location! The building’s door opened directly on to the historic Piazza Mercantile. The vibrant piazza is surrounded by great restaurants, bars, and the local shops are all within walking distance. Very friendly hosts (Beppe & Luca) Thanks for letting us stay.

Ásványvizek voltak bekészítve a hűtőkbe és kávé, tea is rendelkezésre állt (ebben az apartmanban nem volt konyha). Ahogyan más hozzászólók írták, az egyébként kivételesen jó elhelyezkedésének köszönhetően az apartman este-éjszaka és hajnalban is (a szemétszállítás miatt) zajos, de fel voltunk rá készülve. 😊

We didn’t have a kitchen but we didn’t care, the mini fridge was enough for us as we love to eat out It didn’t bother us, we also stay out late but if you have a small family, the late night noise from the square might be an issue. We embraced it and really loved the energy of the crowds and joined in the festivities.

The location was central to all parts of Bari and we had a wonderful view of the sea. We rented both suites for 6 people, and having a kitchen was wonderful for enjoying a meal at home one night. The wifi was very weak, and so I had trouble accessing information for work. Also, there was little air conditioning to the back bedroom in the suite with a kitchen.

Loved it! - We stayed in two different suites and loved them both, although the one looking out over the water, with the kitchen won our hearts. Tasteful. Beautiful. Very Italian. Respectful of the ancient design aspects. I could have stayed for a month and will in the future if we can manage the time. Lovely helpful managers on a number of topics including car hire etc. We were sad to leave. Luca was a miracle worker. I am a journalist who has travelled the world, sometimes at the highest levels of comfort, and this place met every need. Bari itself is a find and the people are kind and helpful. Not expensive. Good restaurants to explore. Great place to practice your Italian as the locals are encouraging and pleasant. Small critique of the apartment facing the main piazza. At night -- even with the heavy-duty shutters closed, it was occasionally noisy. No big deal. Running the A/C did help. This is a wonderful find and I would take it again. If you want to stay on the Mercantile piazza, remember it is the centre of life. Dolce Vita! Embrace it as we did and feel lucky you are there.

Second bedroom and bathroom is down a long corridor into another part of the apartment which has no air conditioning in that area. If this area had air con it would have been 10/10.

Beppe and Luca were very responsive and helpful with restaurant recommendations and airport taxi booking which was excellent. Thank you. We did not appreciate that one bedroom is on an open plan mezzanine and that the shower and second bedroom were accessed via that mezzanine sleeping space. Our mistake. We are good enough friends to navigate this but couples wanting more privacy might want to take this into consideration. It would work really well for a family group.
• Alex (10/5): Great stay in Bari! - Location was great! All the major 'attactions' we were within walking distance of the apartment which is located within the old town. Bari is a small city and easily walkable. Our charming host Beppe, met us outside the apartment with the keys and gave us recommendations for local restaurants and places to visit. He even organised a cab for our return trip to the airport. Beppe, with his insider knowledge, made our visit to Bari very memorable and we will definitely return. If you are planning on visiting the Puglia Shopping Village, don't rely on the free shuttle bus - it doesn't turn up! Nothing! Everything was perfect.
• Cardia (8/5): Overall, it’s nice place to stay. - The apartment was spacious and comfortable, featuring two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms. We stayed on the first floor, and there was also a balcony. The location was great, right in a busy area with restaurants and bars just downstairs, making it super convenient to go out. Naturally, it can get noisy at night, so if you're a light sleeper or prefer complete quiet, this might be something to consider.

It is in a central location surrounded by wonderful eateries. Bathrooms were nice but privacy could be improved by having curtains at the entrance to bedroom 2.

Nothing too much trouble. And you know when somewhere is good, because when Dad books and your wife and kids love it and have not a single bad word to say, or you could’ve done this or that , but they say nothing, and all you see is their smiley faces, you know you picked a winner This is my top for Bari not just because it’s a really nice apartment, fabulously located in spotlessly Clean, Howes is really good as well, because it is a more expensive property but worth it, my opinion Great stay and thank you Loved it

In the old town which was amazing The bars underneath the property were extremely noisy till late on so a decent sleep was not possible. No hanging space in big bedroom as only key in one one door and it did not open. Plug outlet by bed in same room only one worked.

The apartment is right on the main piazza of Bari Vecchia with numerous restaurants just outside the door. Athough some reviews mention noise, this was not a problem during our stay (we were in the Terrace room). 2. The location is close to where Bari Vecchia ends and the newer Murat section begins, so there is easy access to both.

Charming decor, very clean, extremely high ceilings with workable A/C units in both rooms. The beds were very comfortable and we loved having a balcony!! The owner was incredibly responsive to us if/when needed for small requests or questions. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Noisy at night.

It's in the centre of Old Town, so after dinner we sat on our balcony and enjoyed the vibrant city. If you want it calm, can be tricky. Clean and comfortable.

• Jan (1/5): Serious electrical problems. Very difficult owners when there was a real problem. - WARNING - read below. Good kitchen, but unusable due to electrical problems. Great location. WARNING - read this before booking! Serious electrical issues. First night aircon didnt work. It had the wrong remote. (!?) They did replace it the next day. We had to call electrical technician 3 times for broken washing machine. The power kept tripping out for the section of the building that had 2 Mercantile Suites apartments. It tripped in the main building area - not the apartments, so we had to spend hours figuring out how to switch it back on downstairs in the building entry area. On the last night it went out 3 times in 10 minutes. We couldn’t cook or wash properly without the power tripping. The aircon leaked from the ceiling in the other apartment. Owners deny there is a problem. Booking.com don’t respond or do anything. We ended up getting no reply/help from booking.com. Spent the first 2 nights literally dealing with electrical problems. Dont stay here if you want aircon, washing machine, cooking etc. choose a hotel instead. Cleaning was superficial - broken glass in my foot the first night in the kitchen and we hadnt broken anythjng! A shame as the apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, a nice (but filthy with dying plants that havent been watered and full of weeds) outdoor terrace (no view when sitting down). We used a ladder to get up and clean the filthy aircon filters and watered the garden as we felt sorry for the plants. Also second bedroom is accessed thru main bedroom and has no aircon.
• Satwik (9/5): Great location, great property. - Extremely central, next to a lot of great landmarks, restaurants and bars. The apartment itself is really beautiful, clean and well appointed. Theres everything you need without being fussy. Daniel was great at providing info on places to eat / drink etc.,. and they were all top notch. As the location is super central in the old town, it can get really noisy on weekend nights.

One of the rooms has no doors and you need to go thru it to get into the second room There is only one shower that is located in the second room. The other toilet is inside kitchen The beds in the second room are very very small arount 70cm This apartment is for couple and 2 kids at most, not for 2 couples The first bedroom (without doors is getting AC from the living room) But the second room is very very hot, has no normal windows only has small ventilator that is very noisy No wifi in the second room Late check in fee
• Giulietta (10/5): Historical suit in the middle of Bari, dreamy balcony - We booked the suit with the two balkonies, which was direkt above the main square of the old town. The suit was amazing, it is really large and tidy, lovely decorated. It is an old renovated building with modern bathrooms. From the balkony you have a lovely view over the main square and you can easyly discover Bari by foot. The location is amazing, there are lot of local coffee and aperitivo spots near, we got two wine glasses and a coffee machine, so we could enjoy the view in the morning and the evening. I highly recommend this suit when traveling to Bari. The suit was perfekt. You just have to know, it is realy located in the heart of Bari, so it does get loud up until the early morning hours. The windows isolate good so it did not bother us.

• Rodrigo (9/5): Convenient location in the thick of Bari Vechia - We had a wonderful stay here, the location is absolutely perfect and the hosts were beyond accommodating to make sure we had an amazing experience. I recommend it to anyone that wants to be in the thick of all things, Bari. We had an issue with the water heater and the hosts fixed it within 2 hours! Amazing and would love to come back again. Certainly don't recommend it for anyone driving or with a car because parking is very difficult to find.

The apartment is in a residential building and the occupants above can be a bit noisy, but this wouldn't put us off staying here again due to the location

• Na (7/5): I can barely sleep because of noise, there is no on site staff, it is difficult to have help immediately. - The room is big and have a great balcony. it is really noisy during the night, I can hear the noise and music from the bar at 2am
• Nick (5/5): Be careful which unit you book. Only one has terrace and kitchen. - We stayed in the Duplex, no terrace and no kitchen. Definitely beautiful location in the old town, in a historic building with charming finishes. Daniela was very nice and easy to communicate with. Not sure the Duplex is worth the price though. Had it had terrace and kitchen it would have been worth it and I'd recommend it. Based on the description we believed we were booking the apartment with the terrace and kitchen. It turned out we did not book that one. Based on other reviews, which we read too late, many other people got it wrong too. I guess the description is not clear. Not saying that they purposely wrote a misleading description, but apparently they know about people getting it wrong and don't correct it. Aside from the disappointment of not having terrace or kitchen, we were disappointed to realize the windows are not sealed. In the description they are described as "soundproof", but they are not. I guess they are referring to the fact that they are double pane windows. However, the window frame does not seal shut. For example, there is a half centimeter gap at the bottom between the window frame and the floor. The location is on a main piazza and there is constant loud activity from 6.30am until past midnight. Hopefully fully booked back to back occupancy will allow to invest in new window frames to improve guests comfort.
• Cecilia (8/5): Very good - Place is beautiful ,surround for a great restaurants and shops the hosts was super responsive to our request during our stay so we definitely recommend stay in this place
• Anna (8/5): A very nice place to stay in - The location was very good. The hostess was very nice and helpful. Very well equipped kitchen. Authentic entrance in a authentic building. The cleaning lady did very well everyday. The terrace was nice but the seats are uncomfortable. It was a dark appartment with not much window view. Please ask the cleaning lady not to install those electric aroma diffusers. They cause headaches and aren’t nescessary at all. The appartment is clean as it is.
