Guest Reviews
- Simonetta (10/5): A lovely weekend! - Lovely hut. Beautiful surroundings. Homemade scones as a welcome were greatly appreciated. The little station close by was a great find. In wet weather not many comfortable places to sit indoors. However not a real problem as we managed very well.
- Tallulah (10/5): Lovely secluded getaway - has everything you would need. - Lovely private location, all basic facilities covered. Clean and nicely decorated. Maybe an extra shelf for food/personal items would be useful.
- christopher (10/5): -
- Danielle (10/5): Lovely few days away - Quiet, cozy every thing we needed for a few days away. Bed was incredibly comfy homemade scones was so tasty and delicious too. Dog friendly my German shepherd loved having the outdoor space to himself too.
Thankyou liz and matt for having us stay, we most certainly be returning in the future. 😊 N/a
- Tarah (10/5): Loved it there. It was so peaceful. We would really like to stay again - Once we’d sussed out the best road to get to and from there, it was a convenient location for us visiting family. We liked the space, the quality products and linens. Plus it was a surprisingly really comfy bed. The fire basket and little garden area was a lovely added bonus. Not really a big problem, but as the question was asked we would’ve liked some storage for coats, clothes and food items. Could have done with a couple more shelves and hooks, but not really an issue for one or two nights. We come to Cornwall often, sometimes for longer and wed love to stay again.
- Louis (10/5): - Lovely rural location but close enough to amenities. The hut was clean and so comfortable with underfloor heating and equipped with anything you could need. Gorgeous views and the hosts scones were delicious.
- charlotte (10/5): The most gorgeous Shepherds in a beautiful location! - What a beautiful place to stay! I couldn’t fault a thing, the location is perfect, the shepherds hut is the most gorgeous, cosy place I’ve stayed (I may have googled chairs and fabrics as the decor was really lovely).
The hosts were fantastic, quick to respond to my communication and have made a very helpful ‘welcome file’ too!
I just hope I get the opportunity to be able to visit again ❤️
- Jenny (10/5): Outstanding in every aspect - Location was outstanding and so peaceful All perfect
- Brian (10/5): I saw the property reviewed on YouTube and it turned out as good, if not better, than what I saw. - The location was magnificent in a beautiful and peaceful area close to the coast. The welcoming scones, jam and cream along with the bottle of wine were the icing on the cake! Network Rail chainsawing trees along the nearby tracks at 2am on two nights was not ideal but that was the only time that they could do the work obviously and would not be a continuous problem. My only other passing thought was that a toaster would be handy.
- Linda (10/5): - Was amazing incredible the location was fabulous. We arrived at 3.30 and was overwhelmed walking in to home made scones with 3 potts of jam clotted cream coffee tea milk in the fridge so homely x Nothing
- Susan (10/5): - Lovely week in beautiful shepherd's hut .Comfortable large bed clean with great shower. Good communication with lovely hosts there if you need anything. Private but near to small station to Liskeard or Loo. It was peaceful with beautiful surroundings and safe for dogs . Loved listening to the local radio station and the birds an owl at night .Very nice welcome bits with homemade scones jam cream and more.Would definitely recommend this place with a car or manageable without as train goes to Looe in 15 minutes..Also good wifi. Nothing
- Rosemary (10/5): Tranquillity - It was a haven of peace and tranquillity, just what I needed. Had everything except a really comfortable chair! I would love to comeback!
The situation is wonderful. Nothing I didn't like.
- Paula (10/5): Exceptional - It was better than photos. Easy to find. Very peaceful. High quality Nothing
- Maddie (9/5): Superb -
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional - The underfloor heating 🔥 . There's nothing
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional - Loved staying here very much, so did my dog, would happly stay longer if it wasn't already booked up. I loved the quietness of the location, the space outside the hut, and loved having the cooker and oven to use I think a small fold down table and chair would have been good, to be able to sit at or a comfy chair.
- Paul (10/5): Cosy retreat that is very well connected - Location and proximity to the railway station. Peace and quiet. Garden and woodland. Size of property (bigger than similar ones I have stayed in). Outdoor seating and table. Hammock. Cosy and very comfortable. The fact there was no TV. dominating a wall in the property. Nothing. ☺️
- Jaime (10/5): Up there with one of my best stays anywhere. - Lovely place to be, very quiet and relaxing. Exactly what we were wanting. Nothing not to like.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): Beautiful surroundings - Beautiful location and super helpful hosts Nothing, it was fantastic!
- Stinchcombe (10/5): We will definitely be coming back! It’s the perfect destination and the hosts were incredibly friendly as well has Holly - It’s an amazing stay! There was nothing to be faulted. It has a very cosy interior and a very peaceful, revitalising garden area. It’s the perfect place to relax and have a good time. There is nothing to be faulted!
- Chloe (10/5): It was amazing! Was my first holiday with my partner and it was the best thing we did, the whole experience was really g - It was very homely! Was amazing to have a little home away from home.
- Michael (8/5): Very good - I liked the location the accommodation was clean and comfortable everything worked, after a day at work it was a very nice place to come back too I found it very easy to relax, well done you have a place to get away from every day life I would have booked next week but my company likes the best deal and because local hotels do deals I had to take one of these sorry. There was nothing I didn't like, personal choice I would have a fold away table inside, excellent sitting at the table outside but when it's raining for me i must stress this my personal choice a similar set up inside would be good.
- Chloe (10/5): Peaceful get away but short driving distance from everything! - Out of the way and so peaceful but not far from Looe or Liskeard. I’m a young solo traveller and I felt so safe here. Liz and Matt are very lovely and made me feel very welcome, from letting me check in a little early as the hut was ready as is arrived slightly early with my dog to making freshly made scones with Jam and Cream! They are just really kind people There is nothing I disliked
