- Frances (5/5): -
- Margaret (10/5): A wonderful, restful night in a spotlessly clean home - The hostess could not have been any more friendly. The place was spotless and very peaceful.
- Natascha (7/5): - Nette Gastgeberin, der Kühlschrank fehlte im Zimmer.
- Ursula (4/5): Very budget free - Location was convenient If you looked up leak through the railing so stained
- Iuri (9/5): Nice place - All ok All om

- Sherrell (7/5): Pleasant room, excellent value for money, and really well located. - The room was rustic and pleasant, and had all the necessary facilities. I had a very good night's sleep, which is rare for me. The location was excellent - just 5 minutes walk from the beach and all the main shops. I didn't know Folkestone and it was a really charming place. The set-up is a little strange. I didn't see a soul to tell me anything about the property. I let myself in with the key in the keybox, and found my own way to the room. The house is over several storeys. Upstairs there is a shared household-style bathroom, and a kitchen and living space downstairs and I had no idea whether I could use these, or whether they belonged to the home owners. I also think they may have longer term guests, who were using all the facilities, so I felt it best to keep myself to myself. In the morning I left in the same way I had arrived - without seeing anyone. Also the television had very limited choices, had to be reprogrammed (with no instructions) and was stuck with annoying Audio Description, which, despite trying every button and menu several times over, I couldn't turn off. But as I only really needed a bed for the night, it was all fine.
- Baptiste (10/5): - rien a redire
- John (7/5): Prima locatie, goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding - Gunstige prijs Geen parkeerplaats in de straat
- Gretchen (10/5): - Pretty room that was quiet (except for the seagulls) and had a nice window but good blackout curtains! Fabiana was an absolutely fantastic host, and the bathroom was large and clean and had a tub and shower and the room also had a fridge. I couldn't connect to wifi, putting the name of the connection and a simpler code would make it easier to do so. The door doesn't close without the key so that was a little bothersome especially as it made noise and I didn't want to bother other guests

- Christov (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb - Comfy room in a good location
- Stephen (9/5): Great for access to creative quarter - Good value, nice hosts
- Solomon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Grace (1/5): Never again and wouldn’t recommend - Nothing When you walked into the room, there’s a tv hanging precariously off the wall.
We were told there’s no television because it doesn’t work and when it does we would have to pay extra for it.
Very steep narrow stairs up to the room (not told about before booking).
To plug in the kettle one had to place the plug board up next to the lamp by the bedside table.
Slept well but couldn’t wait to get up and out of there.
Very disappointing.
Photos look better on Booking.com than the reality. Grim to be fair.
- Sean (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah (7/5): Gods value for money, clean, cute & comfortable room & facilities. - It was very cosy, cutely decorated and ample facilities 😃 The bedroom door would not lock!
- Marcos (9/5): Superb -
- Deborah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leia (9/5): Superb -
- Jayde (8/5): Ideal stop over for the Eurotunnel - Convienent location close to the Eurotunnel.
Easy check in service.
Host was nice and friendly. It's an old house so it can be a bit noisy when walking around but that's to be expected.
The shower wasn't great, either scalding or freezing water.
- Every (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Nina (10/5): Exceptional - Everything!! Was superb
- Gurung (8/5): Very good -
- Suzanne (10/5): Perfect - A wonderful home stay, which is a short walk from the creative quarter and Harbour arm. Fabiane is very friendly and welcoming. A good price and I throughly recommend
- Hector (10/5): Great price, location and host what more could you ask for! - Fabiana was fantastic, a warm welcome and a great host throughout. The location was brilliant, so close to the harbour arm and creative quarter so a perfect place to stay if you want to be close to all the action in Folkstone. Less than a minute away from a petrol station so we could stock up on some drinks to put in the fridge in our room.
- Margreeth (9/5): "My home is your home!" - A most wonderful homestay with Fabiana and her brother! They made me feel very welcome with them, staying more as a friend than as a paying customer - including being invited to join them for dinner. Their terraced house is located in a quiet sidestreet a mere 5 minutes' walk from the harbour and the beach, with a frequently serviced bus stop located just around the corner. Folkestone's town centre is about 20 minutes' walk (or 5 minutes by bus) away, through the charming creative quarter.
The room is located all the way at the top. It was absolutely spotlessly clean, and features a very comfortable double bed (I didn't want to get up in the mornings!), a normal sized fridge and a television. The bathroom (shared with the family, on the same floor) is well stocked, and very clean, too. Free use of the equally clean kitchen (with both stove, oven and microwave) and kitchenware is included, and one can always find pleasant and chatty company in the dining room when they are at home. Wifi is available, but I had nothing with me to use it for.
I sure know where to go the next time I visit Folkestone! No problem for me, but if you have trouble navigating stairs, you might want to choose somewhere else to stay.
